What Customers Say

Horrible! I was a patient of his partner for 30 years. Great DR. He retired so I was sent to Dr Allen. I had a pretty bad infection. He did initially prescribe an antibiotic, but it was not strong enough. I told him this when I was with him, but he insisted. 6 weeks later I was really ill from the infection. I called the office to get a Cipro prescription, which is the antibiotic needed for this condition. I couldn’t get in touch with the nurse after leaving 2 messages over 2 days. I finally reached her and he put in a 1 week prescription. The standard course of treatment for this condition is 4-6 weeks. I called back to inform the new nurse about this. She informed the dr, he wanted me to come back in. Ridiculous. I called my primary care who immediately sent in a prescription. I don’t know what is up with this Dr or the practice, but they have really gone down hill. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE IF YOU WANT TO STAY ALIVE! Really terrible and negligent practice and Dr.

If you’re a woman, stay away from this doctor. He is very old school and gives opinions based on outdated information. Told me to go get a hysterectomy due to having endometriosis. My complaint was pain from an IC flare which he should be very familiar with. Look elsewhere.

Dr. Allen preformed an aquablasion surgery for my enlarged prostate. I could not be happier with the results. Highly recommended.

EDITED/UPDATE: My review still stands. Below, you will notice that I updated my response to remove some info on Dr. Allen which I had wrong. However, this is the correct Dr's office and the nurse or someone from his office called my dad to address the situation. So, right office, right situation. I have the card if you'd like me to post a picture of it. I'm only giving this one star bc zero is not an available option. Dr. Allen is a fine physician. However, the staff has gotten rude and unprofessional. Not sure if there are new people there now (who don't have the same professional caliber) or if the staff's attitudes have just gotten terrible. Appointments are given months in advance, which leaves plenty of time for Dr. Allen's staff to call patients and remind them several times over. Yet, they either don't call to remind him of appointments OR call days after the appointment has passed to tell him he had an appointment OR they flat out lie about him having an appointment in the first place, when it's clearly written on the appointment card they gave him. When my dad tries to call them back, they do not answer the phone and he has to leave a voicemail. They NEVER respond to his voicemails. Do they want his cancer to return? Are they going to foot the bill if it does? Would they want to be treated this way or have their family members treated the same way they're been mistreating my dad? Are they trying to weed out or get rid of patients that they don't necessarily like? Is this a form of age or race discrimination? Is this their call to make or is this coming from higher up? This is sad to see, since Dr. Allen is a good physician; but his staff is running off his patients by their nasty, rude and unprofessional behavior leading to the negative reviews posted by others already on Google. Over time, if they are not fired or do not change, this will negatively impact his business.

Worst urologist ever. Refused care for days made horrible sexual comments to nurses and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. A blind patient he teased and I had to listen to him get upset and tell him to stop messing with him and when patient was saying he didnt consent he relentlessly pressed despite patient advocating for himself.. Let me go septic before “fixing” stent then their clinic said they would work with me to get stent out knowing I am on Medicaid and would pass on the initial visit fee to then NOT do that and quoted me 7k to remove the stent..
