What Customers Say

I have been a customer for 7 years. Have always repaired any suggestions give by tech. Just this last week I spent $2000. Had some questions I wanted answers too. I called for 3 days with no returned phone call. I have never been so disrespected. I have my own business and I would never not return a customer’s call. After that I cancelled my contract. I still don’t have the answers to my questions. It has been almost 2 weeks with no correspondence.

Zero Stars – Warranty deception, Upselling, and Complete Lack of Customer Service. I would give Lex Air zero stars if possible. They have repeatedly misled me on warranty coverage, pushed unnecessary services, and continue to ignore my complaints. In February 2025, the coils failed on my A/C unit. Lex Air (recommended by my builder after the original installer went out of business) diagnosed the issue and convinced me that I had no labor warranty — only parts through the manufacturer. They charged me $2,400 for labor and refrigerant to install a new coil. That was their discounted price because I was a member to their service club. In April, the same technician returned and recommended expensive add-ons: duct cleaning ($1,147.50), an air scrubber ($1,232.50), and line insulation ($182). This raised my suspicions about commission-driven sales. By November 2025, the system failed again. Another HVAC company diagnosed a leak in the front of the recently replaced coil and said that it should be covered under the manufacturer's parts and labor warranty. Lex Air's technician insisted it was a different part (TXV valve) not covered by warranty and quoted $892.50 to fix it. He claimed his tools showed no leak. I delayed the repair. On June 3, 2026, the unit failed again. Lex Air quoted $3,960 for labor to replace the coil and TXV (with parts supposedly under warranty). After calling the manufacturer and distributor myself, I confirmed the unit has a full parts and labor warranty until 2029. A different company inspected the unit, confirmed the leak was in the front of the original replacement coil (exactly as diagnosed in November), and offered to replace the coil and TXV for $1,500 less than Lex Air's quote. And that was with the other company buying new parts. Lex Air front office told me that a service manager would give me a call. No service manager has followed up.Their only responses have been automated emails repeating the $3,900+ repair estimate. This experience has been extremely expensive and stressful. The pattern of denying valid warranty claims, pushing high-dollar upsells, and providing poor follow-through is unacceptable. Homeowners beware — get everything in writing and verify warranties directly with the manufacturer.
