Penguin Insulation

Penguin Insulation handles residential and commercial insulation work out of Lewisville, Texas. Alex runs the operation and leads crews that install open cell and closed cell spray foam, blow-in insulation, radiant barriers, and soundproofing. They also handle removal of old material, sealing off spaces, and adding items like solar-powered attic fans. The company carries a million-dollar insurance and bond policy and works on both new installs and upgrades to existing homes and buildings.

Homeowners call them for attics that run too hot in summer or too cold in winter, garages that need better temperature control, and walls damaged by rodents. Crews remove old insulation, add thicker new layers, seal penetrations, and install pest-resistant material to block future entry points. Alex and his team have fixed rooms that stayed freezing by adding insulation where none existed, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and even helped coordinate follow-up drywall repairs. Jobs often finish in a single day with the crew protecting floors and belongings during the work.

They answer calls quickly, including late on a Sunday, and schedule crews for the next morning in many cases. Alex stays in touch by phone, text, and even FaceTime to give quotes and explain options without pushing extra work. Pricing comes in competitive and transparent compared with other bids, and crews arrive on time, work straight through, and leave the site clean. Service covers local homes where reviewers live, with technicians such as Jose and Johnny handling the installs alongside Alex.

Reviewers note the crews work fast and neat while delivering clear temperature improvements and solid attic results. Recurring comments cover strong communication, fair costs, and reliable follow-through on details like extra sealing or post-job checks. DIRT Score 4.7 from 122 reviews on Finds.

“Alex and his crew did an excellent job on my attic insulation project. They clearly understood my issue and goals. My home office sits above the garage and gets hot during the summer and colder during the winter. Penguin removed the old insulation, added a thicker layer of new insulation, and installed a solar-powered attic fan. The attic looks much better and will be much cooler during the hot Texas summers.”

“Penguin Insulation did a great job on my project. They insulated my attic, garage, and walls, taking care to clean everything up afterward and bag anything exposed in the garage. The attic and garage both look great. They were able to insulate the walls with only some minor drywall holes and are even helping me find a reasonable drywall contractor for the repairs. The work was done well, at a fair price, and I'm very satisfied with the results. I recommend them.”

“Thank you to Alex and his crew for removing all the old insulation out of my attic, sealing that space off and sanitizing. They did a great job and I highly recommend. I will have them out soon to replenish insulation before the summer heat hits. Heres a couple before and after pictures of removal.”

“Excellent work from the first call till the day they came and provided their insulation service. Very friendly and informative and time efficient. Arrived on time and wasted no time they got straight to work. Reason for the service was due to one of the rooms in my house was freezing during the winter, and when I moved into the house it had little to no insulation. After the insulation the main room was not freezing anymore and the house retained the heat during the winter and cool during the summer. Highly recommend them. They show you the work and progress I asked if they could fill in small corner angle and they asked no questions or gave me push back they did it right away. I would for sure use them again. I used their service back in January 2023 I just never left them a review due to a password issue. I said I would leave a review once I fixed it. Thanks for your service.”

“I am extremely satisfied with the insulation installation service provided by this company. They worked very fast, were highly professional, and paid great attention to small details. I highly recommend them! The work was done just in 4-5 hours and the crew kept my house clean.”

“Alex had a fantastic response time to the service request. Got the attic insulation job done next day. Alex has a great crew that takes care of everything and makes sure to protect all of your stuff. Very competitive pricing but the service they provide makes Penguin the choice to go with.”

“Alex & his crew are clearly very experienced, tidy, and efficient. He gave better details on the process and my options than other companies did and his crew got it done well and in a timely manner. They plugged up entry points for rodents and installed a pest-resistant insulation to prevent future rodent parties. Thanks, Alex and crew!”

“Jose and his team were on time, efficient. They explained what was being done. Clean and quit. I already notice a big difference in my home cooling. A/c actually reaches the set temp now. Thank you Alex & Jose!”

“Alex with Penguin Insulation did a great job on our home. He took our call late on a Sunday evening and was at our home at 9am the following morning. This is the 2nd time we have used Penguin Insulation and have had outstanding service and work both times. We will continue to use them in the future.”

“Alex was able to give me an estimate the day after I called. He was very knowledgeable and not trying to sell me anything I didn't need. His team did the insulation top-off the next week and was very reasonably priced (I got several quotes). Fantastic service.”

“Alex (foreman) and Johnny (installer) did a great job of blowing in insulation over my garage. They accommodated my schedule, were punctual, and did a very neat job. I'm very happy with the result.”

“Penguin company did amazing job don for my attics spray foam. Penguin company was so quick respond all job and they did great work, we so happy I will recommend everyone who needs spray foam things.”

“Alex at Penguin Insulation was quick to respond and had a team out to my house the very next day to get my attic insulation installed. Their team provided excellent service. In just a few hours, they were finished and had exceeded what is required by building code to ensure my two-story home would stay comfortable. They also provided me with shower wall insulation installation which helps with my prep work to renovate my upstairs bathroom. Penguin is very affordable. Their quote was lower than a previous quote I had received. Alex is very knowledgeable and also helped me determine a way to further cool my upstairs with a motorized solar-powered turban, which will be installed soon. I would highly recommend Penguin Insulation for anyone in the DFW area.”

“The three guy crew did a great job removing and installing attic insulation, showed up on-time, very efficient, worked hard from 10-4, fair price, exactly as promised! Alex did a great job coordinating, well done‼️”

“Alex and his crew were very informative and showed great experience. A job well done!”

“Alex and his team took care of my insulation on a wall and an air duct that had been damaged by rat activity. He helped me understand the best way to fix and also prevent similar things from happening in the future such as using closed cell foam which is much denser and harder to chew through. He quoted me a very competitive price, had the best scheduling availability, but most importantly was very responsive on text and helped answer a lot of questions I had. His crew was very professional, great attitude and Alex dropped in to check on the work throughout. My wall is better than ever, thanks Penguin Insulation!”

“Extremely helpful, Alex went out of his way (at no cost) to checkout my attic. Very clean and well representing appearance, easy to approach with my questions. We very much appreciate him !”

“Penguin was great to work with! Alex jumped on a FaceTime call with me so I could show him my project. He gave me an accurate and fair quote over the phone. Johnny showed up to the job on time and quickly started working on my project. He took time to answer my questions and made sure he understood everything that needed to be done. The work was high quality and finished on time the same day. They even hung around and chatted with me for a while and offered to help me take down my Halloween decorations. Overall my experience was excellent and I definitely recommend Penguin for your insulation needs.”

“Great Work at a Fair Price. Penguin Insulation did an excellent job removing old dirt and insulation that had been in my attic for over 20 years. The team was professional, thorough, and left the area very clean. Alex, the owner, was very detailed and patient in explaining the process and options. He also recommended nest thermostat and replaced it which was a great help. Pricing was fair and transparent. Highly recommend their services.”

“Alex and his team did an amazing job and they were very easy to work with. We really appreciate that Alex came back to review the job after complete. Update: they really go above and beyond. We had an issue with our ceiling and they came back and replaced the insulation. Honest and dependable! You won’t be sorry you called them.”
