About

Oscar Renda Contracting lists irrigation among its services from a base in Coppell, Texas. The Google profile marks the outfit as a general contractor at the Roanoke address and ties it to Southland Holdings, which describes work on water resources projects alongside bridges, tunnels, marine jobs and specialty structures. The site highlights completed infrastructure such as drainage tunnels and water supply lines meant to serve communities facing groundwater shortages.

Reviewers recount jobs that ran far past deadlines, including an N. Alamo site still unfinished months after staff had promised completion by December or January. Others point to water supply upgrades in Baltimore and at Druid Lake that left chlorinated water released at illegal levels and old growth trees removed without soil tests. A Detroit area infrastructure project left a vendor unpaid after eight months despite repeated calls, while a Houston road project on Memorial Dr. dragged on for four years. Subcontractors describe constant pressure on performance and invoicing paired with slow or partial payments.

Communication draws repeated complaints of voicemails left unanswered and little cooperation when outside parties raised concerns about staff using social security numbers that did not belong to them. Management is described as hands off on site, with much of the day to day oversight handed to contract supervisors who appear under qualified. Pricing and contract practices are called bottom dollar, with reviewers advising other subcontractors to seek work elsewhere rather than deal with the runaround on final invoices.

The collected feedback sits at one star across nearly every entry, with topics centered on missed schedules, unpaid obligations and quality shortfalls on water and drainage work. A single five star note simply states the job was well done. The Google profile shows a 2.5 rating with no reviews attached.

What Customers Say

“I am a vendor that has sold product to Oscar Renda Contracting for a large infrastructure job they performed in the Detroit area. They have not paid their bill for over 8 months at this point. I have left dozens of voicemail messages for them, but nobody calls me back. Pay your bills!!”

Kevin Main

“They hire people that have stolen other people identity. They have a person working there that is using a social security number of my family member.... We live in Nc!!! We called to get information told them that it was happening, but they will not cooperate.”

Peter

“Very disorganized. As a subcontractor you can immediately tell they are a bottom dollar corporation. They contract out a lot of their onsite management (which usually results in people who weren't competent enough to be employed and advance within a company). Company employed management is very hands off and arrogant. They will hound you to exhaustion regarding performance (which they inhibit), invoicing and pay- to the point I imagine they're hoping you'll complete a large portion of your scope of work and then be willing to take a settlement to get out. If you're a sub contractor and can get work elsewhere, I would definitely advise you to do so.”

Jax Hayes

“The N. Alamo project is terrible. I was told by your staff on site in Oct. When this all start it would be completed by Dec or Jan. It's now April. Why do I pay city taxes for this nonsense? This should of been completed already! Seems like your staff is messing up and trying to fix their mistakes constantly pretty sad!”

Matt B

“Have done a terrible job improving the Baltimore water supply and Druid Lake water supply. Recently caught dumping illegal levels of chlorinated water into the Jones Falls from the Druid Lake reservoir at nearby Druid Hill Park. Just cut down an entire park of old growth trees without testing soil.”

John Skrynecki

“Too bad this contractor can't be given a "zero" star rating. They have made a complete mess of Memorial Dr. for 4 yrs and counting! The City of Houston should be embarrassed.”

Windsor Cove Rep

“Doesn't pay vendors. Gives the runaround. Would not advise selling to or buying from.”

“Had to report for fraudulently using social security number.”
