North Dallas Landscapes

North Dallas Landscapes runs irrigation services out of Dallas as a full-service outfit for both homes and commercial spots. Jake O’Brien owns the company and oversees lawn care maintenance, landscape design and installation, landscape lighting, irrigation install and repair, tree care and removal, plus hardscape and outdoor living work. The business has operated in the North Dallas area since 1993 and handles both regular upkeep and bigger projects for property owners and managers.

Customers describe jobs such as fixing irrigation systems, installing sod and trees, solving drainage problems, mulching beds, edging driveways, replacing overgrown borders with low-maintenance plants, switching grass to zeon zoysia, grading yards, and overhauling flower beds. Jake and his crew get called out for these tasks, along with mowing, planting new trees, and handling last-minute plant protection during freezes. One reviewer noted a missed quote follow-up that left them waiting over a week.

Reviewers mention quick responses to calls, on-time arrivals, clear communication through an online platform, reasonable prices, and crews that clean up after finishing. The company works across Dallas with flexibility on schedules and changes, and they handle both small repairs and full redesigns without pushing extra work.

The Google rating sits at 4.7 though listed with zero reviews there, while the separate customer feedback shows mostly five-star notes on quality and timing alongside one one-star complaint about follow-through. Recurring points cover reliable scheduling and solid results on irrigation and landscaping jobs.

“Very easy to work with, great communication from the sales team and onsite lead, and fantastic work! Highly recommend.”

“Started using the company early this year for mowing yard, mulching our landscape beds, fixing my irrigation system, and getting help with planting several new trees. Everything about their service is excellent. They show up when scheduled, do excellent work, communicate well, and clean up after all work. And, on top of all that, their prices are very reasonable. I can’t say enough about their five star Sevice!”

“I loved the quality of work and the expertise from North Dallas Landscapes in taking out an overgrown, wildly out-of-control border and replacing it with a low maintenance solution which blends well with our mature trees. Jake had far better ideas than I did for fixing the problem, and the quality, size and condition of the plants he used were excellent. I particularly like that the plants are sized to look good now, and will look even better as they grow. North Dallas Landscapes also replaced our existing grass with zeon zoysia, which looks fabulous, is so much better suited to our Dallas summers than our previous St. Augustine, and is a delight to walk on. His teams of workers went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed right, looked great, and that we were very, very happy with the job. A definite two thumbs-up!”

“Fantastic experience with Jake and North Dallas Landscapes. I have been using them for regular lawn maintenance for the past couple of months and recently had them do a complete overhaul on the many flower beds on my property. They cleaned up all the old growth so nicely and installed a variety of beautiful, low-maintenance plants to beautify my home. Communication has been quick and easy, and they have an online platform to manage payments and service requests. Would definitely recommend!”

“We have been searching for a great yard maintenance and landscaping company since moving to Dallas. We tried one and also got many estimates with no luck. Then my husband saw the flyer for North Dallas Landscapes and gave them a call. Jake immediately got us on the schedule and was incredibly responsive! His prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality work North Dallas Landscapes delivers to their customers. We liked North Dallas Landscapes so much that we asked Jake to redesign all of the landscaping around our home. He was so easy to work with on the design-Jake listened to our concerns and preferences and created wonderful garden beds and new sod. His teams were tidy, hard working, and used high quality plants and materials. We have received so many compliments from our neighbors, and we love the new curb appeal our home and yards now have thanks to North Dallas Landscapes! My husband and I recommend North Dallas Landscapes to all of our Dallas friends and neighbors. They do wonderful work, are very organized and responsive, and they are easy to work with to get a great looking yard!”

“I called these people over a week ago and scheduled a time for Karen to come out. She came out and I told her what I wanted. She told me she would have a quote for me early this week. We are now over a week later and she didn't get back to me or even have the courtesy to touch base and let me know she was going to be late with a quote or wasn't able to do the job. Skip this company. They are unprofessional.”

“North Dallas Landscapes did an excellent job grading and installing sod in our backyard. Jake was responsive and quick to offer a comprehensive quote. When the weather forecast showed signs of rain the date of our install, he had the crew come over a day early. Jake's team worked quickly, efficiently and thoroughly to transform our backyard. We love it and cannot recommended North Dallas Landscapes enough. 10/10 recommend!”
