“As many others have stated, absolutely worst customer service ever. I have been flipping million dollar homes and properties for about 20 years now. High fire areas in northern California. Everyone likes the idea of the steel frame decks but its expensive and there's no local examples or contractors or crews to represent or install the product. I have been trying to be that representative, with THREE current large deck projects and many more to come of my own, let alone other folks I know as contractors and homeowners. Apparently Fortress is doing so well, they don't need any more six figure orders coming in. no one ever answers the phone, no one ever returns calls. Absolutely mind blowing that they refuse to expand into the exact market this product is designed for. Really makes one question the basic business sense and instills absolutely zero confidence.”

“From a contractor's/ installer's perspective I am very disappointed in the selling, delivery and customer service. The product meets expectations, however. That said, when the order is missing 5 packages of railing brackets, customer service should bend over backwards to remedy the problem. That didn't happen. Instead, they argued that the product was sent 100 percent. Fortunately for me, the store had video of the delivery clearly displaying just one small box in the shrink-wrapped pallet. - Not nearly big enough for all the ordered brackets to fit into. But Fortress still refused to accept responsibility. Very unprofessional. Edit (update): It goes from bad to worse. My local store tries to make things right by ordering the missing parts. FORTRESS sends the wrong quantity and the wrong COLOR. The shipping box was opened by store receving clerk and is on video - so there is no question about the error. But FORTRESS claims they sent everything correctly.! The arrogance of these people!”

“Shipped me AL13 postage railing products but the you could not undo the post brackets to attach the cover for the post . The person putting them on must have done MAX torque on them . Very disappointing along with the customer service side won't take the post back and losen them . But the like the money I sent thru the hardware store .”

“It is advisable not to take cargo from here, very rude staff. They always do it in such a way as to make your work as difficult as possible. Almost immediately they cancel the cargo. came here, lost time, ended up leaving empty with a cancellation for the cargo and a block from the broker. the people who work here on loading behave very rudely”

“Fortress will not stand by their product or provide engineering support. Based on their drawing and specifications and their representative who was on site when my deck framing was installed, several building code violations occurred. Both me and the contractor have contacted them multiple times to ask for assistance, provide instructions or an engineering stamp for modifications, or provide general assistance to help ensure the deck is built safely. They will not respond. Emails, phone calls. Nothing. I'll also add that the zinc coating they use on the steel seems rather low quality - rust is already forming on some beams.”

“I live in the Los Angeles area. My house burned down. I want to rebuild our extensive hillside deck with fortress steel deck framing. I cannot find the product or a contractor. In spite of asking the company regularly for over a year. You aren't available in fire prone southern California? Please!”

“Enter on Fortress Way for shipping docks. (Entrance=pink arrow) Easiest to go all the way to the end and turn around in employee parking. (Docks = green arrow) Loaded 1 hr. Nice shipping staff. Kinda tight getting in the dock.”

“For truckers.. the entrance is for fortress way to the right, you ser the docks.. blind side or they have a employe parkin lot at the end where you cant put your truck the other way for parkin.. lunch 12 - 1 they come at 1pm after lunch and start loadins rigth away about 45 - 60 min to get loaded.. stay safe and good luck”
