lakeway tree experts

Lakeway Tree Experts handles tree work in Austin and nearby spots like Lakeway, Bee Cave, Cedar Park, and Steiner Ranch. They focus on trimming, pruning, fertilization programs, oak wilt treatment, and removing damaged or sick trees rather than grass mowing or flower work. Arlen Fisher runs the outfit, and the crew includes Steven, Jarin, and Jimmy. The business has operated since 1985 with an ISA certified arborist on staff and offers tree risk assessments along with fertilization schedules for live oaks, cypress, and other trees.

Homeowners call them for trimming back branches on live oaks, thinning canopies, pulling out dead wood, and treating oak wilt on larger properties. Steven has walked six-acre lots to map out plans and apply treatments that stop the spread. Crews under Jarin and Jimmy have pruned ice-damaged trees without extra stress, removed hanging limbs over pools and houses, and fertilized hedges that later looked healthy and full. Cleanup after each job gets mentioned often, with debris hauled off and yards left neat.

They respond to calls within days for estimates and usually finish the work inside a week. Steven and Arlen return messages quickly, sometimes using video calls to show progress on site. Pricing comes in reasonable for the amount of cutting and treatment involved, and crews arrive on schedule or early. Service covers the Austin area with jobs on both small lots and bigger acreage around Lake Travis and Westlake.

Google shows a 4.9 rating from 248 reviews. Reviewers keep noting the crew's knowledge of tree health, polite manner on the job, and thorough cleanup once the work wraps.

“So glad I found Lakeway Tree Experts! They were incredibly helpful, professional, and made quick work of the branches that needed to be cut back. Fair pricing, great communication, and excellent service. Highly recommend! Arlen and his team are one of a kind.”

“Steven from Lakeway Tree Experts came out last fall to give me an estimate for having my live oaks trimmed. The estimate was so reasonable it was hard for me to even believe that they would do that much work for such a great price! Fast forward to this week when we had set the date for the work. The day before I called them because I was thinking that since it had been so long since we set the date they wouldn't show! Arlen, the owner called me back the night before & said they would be there the next day as scheduled. Not only were they there on time, but they were 20 minutes early! That never happens! Steven walked the property with me to make sure we were in agreement as to what was to be done. When he left & went on to another job he left Jimmy in charge and he was great too! They had a crew of 4 guys who knocked the work out in less than a day. All of the guys were very courteous and conscientious. They picked up and disposed of all the branches etc. My yard and trees looked so good when they left! I will be calling them them next year for sure!”

“Easy to communicate with, estimate was quick. From the time I reached out to the actual service was less than 1 week. Actual service only took 10 minutes and Jarin and his team did a great job.”

“Lakeway Tree Service is one I highly recommend. The three men that came to our property were knowledgeable, professional, and polite. Trees were trimmed, thinned, and dead branches were removed efficiently. The yard was cleaned well upon completion of the job. The communication with the main office was prompt, courteous, and professional.”

“Steven took the time to listen and walk around the six acre property to recommend an action plan and then treated the area of immediate concern for oak wilt. Answered all question and said he didn’t know if I asked something out of the ordinary. That’s what you want to see in experts.”

“Steven is great! I have been working with him for a while now to care for the fertilization schedule of 7 cypress that have been made into a hedge for privacy. They look awesome and healthy! He also worked on a sick tree I have in the front and now it is thriving. It’s so much better to talk to him about plant health and maintenance than just having anyone come in and just apply the same thing they do on every other lawn. I get a ton of compliments and the trees look great!”

“Jimmy and his crew did a neat and prompt job, as we as cleaning up afterwards. we have used them for many years and have always done a good job. Steven is a very knowledgeable arborist. Highly recommend.”

“Lakeway Tree Experts are the best top to bottom. They are knowledgable, courteous, informative, transparent, and efficient. The trees they are treating on my property are doing great and getting healthier. You couldn't find a better company who really cares about the health of your trees. Mark McCune”

“Lakeway Tree did an awesome job on our trees. We had two badly damaged from the ice storm so they had to trim them up without causing too much stress. We have a plan now to shape them back up over the next few seasons. I also had 2 trees in my backyard that were hanging over my pool, fence, and house. They trimmed and pruned these and they look great!”

“We have used Lakeway Tree Experts in the past year to identify the trees on our lot with Oak Wilt. More recently, they trimmed & pruned the trees in addition to removing some. They were prompt and professional. Responded quickly. Called us several times and Face Timed so we could see the progress and make any additional requests. We're very pleased with the work they did at a reasonable price.”

“They did a great job on the 18 oaks in my front yard! Thorough clean up too. Finished in less time than originally quoted and saved me some $$. Will definitely hire again. Thanks!”

“Great service and advice provided. Steven is a great representative of Lakeway Tree Experts. His advice was practical and made sense to me. I look forward to your help with similar issues in my future. Mike English + Rufus May 22, 2024 - Follow up to earlier visit was again perfect. Good, logical advice delivered very professionally ... keep up your good work.”

“I felt fortunate to have found Arlen Fisher. He is knowledgable about trees, reliable and trustworthy. I met up with him at my lot in Lakeway to discuss about removing a sick tree and partially trimming a healthy, large oak tree. I went back to California and he took care of everything as we discussed. I paid Arlen in full with the agreement that when I move to Lakeway, he will finish the trimming when I am at my lot. 5 months later, I am in Lakeway. I contacted him and he promptly sent his crew to finish the job. The crew knew exactly how to make the tree look beautiful. They are fast and efficient. I love how my tree looks now. I highly recommend Lakeway Tree Experts.”

“Today was the second time we had The Lakeway Tree Experts come love on our prolific oak trees - one of which is a massive 200+ year old fella! We had three of the same guys who came to our house last summer and two new faces (one was a climbing expert this time, so new smiling face to us!) and I think it says good things about the company to have long term employees. Each time, every guy was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable - I asked a lot of questions and learned from each one of the guys about what they were doing and about how to think about my trees and yard. They kept to the time scheduled, asked what my goals were for them, and helped prioritize to maximize their time and our money! 5/5 stars for quality work, cleanup and professionalism!!!”

“Steven and Lakeway Tree Experts have been taken care of our magnolias for several years and we have always had a great experience!”

“Jimmy was great. Knowledgeable respectful and efficient. Highly recommend this company. Our Live oak is coming along nicely from last July's trimming.”

“Steven thoroughly explained everything and the crew did a great job!”

“I hired Lakeway Tree Experts a couple of years ago to rescue my 3 crepe myrtles from an aphid infestation. They were efficient, responsive and successful. Steve was easy to work with and patiently explained what was going on and how to remedy the situation. This year when we planned to trim the trees, there was only one choice for me - Lakeway Tree Experts. Scheduling was easy and the price was reasonable. Steve and his crew arrived when scheduled, efficiently trimmed the trees, removed all debris (including thousands of seed pods) and cleaned up 100%, even the street. A great job! Were looking forward to beautiful trees with a pretty canopy in the Spring.”

“Just started using Lakeway Tree Experts to treat some issues with some of my trees and to give three maintenance treatments for all shrubs and trees. They were prompt, professional and thorough. The office staff was really great in getting things set up too. I look forward to having a good year with them.”
