“We had a problem with our grass in the backyard. Laura with Southern Love Landscaping visited, diagnosed our problem, and provided a solution, which involved replacing our Bermuda grass with Zoysia. We also added new plants to the beds around the house. Throughout the process, Laura was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very prompt about returning calls and texts. She was present before, during, and after the installation. The installation crew was also outstanding. They showed up on time, did a great job installing the sod and plants, and cleaned up afterwards. They checked out our irrigation system, programmed the controller, and provided advice about watering. Nikk, the owner, also came by to check on things. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the job.”

“Just used Laura W and her crew for my front and backyard landscaping! I already had a plan and was able to share with Laura and she was able to help make my plan dog and Texas plant friendly! She was so easy to work with and answered all of my questions quickly! The landscaping looks nice and I am especially excited about the irrigation! “We started with a backyard that was essentially unusable--mostly dirt and dead grass--and ended up with a space we actually want to spend time in. They handled the full transformation: Texas native plants, fresh sod, irrigation, lighting, a new patio with poured concrete pavers, a pergola, and decking built around our above-ground pool. “We hired Southern Love to help us with a somewhat unusual project.  We recently filled in our pool which was built into the hillside and had a large deck associated with it.  Instead of just tearing it all down, we filled in the pool, and wanted to utilize the entire space as a new deck area. Southern Love looked at the space, and came up with 3D CAD drawing of our deck with the addition of many native plants, flagstone patios, and a pergola.  Our goal was two fold: we wanted to use this space without it feeling like a retired filled-in pool, and we wanted the finished product to be low maintenance through the use of native plants. Harrison was our design superintendent and he really nailed it.  He also likes to use native and desert-adapted plants and was on our wavelength from the beginning. He gave us solid advice on how to maximize our success with these plants, giving them the best start so they last a lifetime. The project took about 2 weeks, and the crew was friendly and fun to talk with.  They were very detail oriented, and left the land looking better than how they found it. “We worked with Southern Love in May 2025 and had a wonderful experience. We did a little work the previous year with another company and the difference in professionalism and work was night and day. Harrison helped us envision the space and took all of our wants (and did not wants) into consideration and Nikk and the team made it all happen. We had them add irrigation off of an existing system, extend a rock bed around our tree, resod the entire yard, and build out the entire pool area - rock, pavers, deck and railing, and cowboy pool included. They coordinated directly with their electrician and the Cowboy Pool team so we were able to be hands off throughout the process. Communication from the entire team truly could not have been better. Nikk himself was in our backyard daily checking in with the crew and making sure everything was perfect. They delivered top tier work in just a couple of weeks and we could not be happier!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Southern Love Landscaping. I contracted with them to do a fairly large project at my home that involved installing a new flagstone patio, rebuilding several flagstone walkways, demoing out two concrete walkways to install a new walkway with custom poured concrete pavers, install heavy gauge metal edging throughout the backyard and constructing a cedar stairwell handrail. I provided my own design and Nikk and his crew made it a reality. I solicited proposals from (4) other landscape contractors and Southern Love was the most competitive. I was impressed at the start as Nikk was the only contractor that actually took site measurements. The others either relied solely on a plat survey I provided or just eyeballed it. As a retired engineer and facilities director, I know what a well-managed project should look like. The project was well coordinated.
