New Horizon Design & Build

New Horizon Design & Build runs landscaping and hardscaping work from Pilot Point and takes jobs across Denton plus nearby spots like Prosper and Celina. Eugene leads the crew on full design and build projects for both homes and commercial sites. Their services cover patios, pergolas, decks, fencing, retaining walls, pavers, masonry, artificial turf, irrigation and drainage fixes, outdoor lighting, tree removal and trimming, concrete work, and sod installation. They keep regular hours Monday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm and can be reached at the listed number.

Homeowners bring them in for drainage problems that water fails to clear after storms, backyard makeovers that turn side yards into usable space with turf borders and concrete sidewalks, tree removals that clear space near houses, and paver installs on smaller garden lots where other crews turn down the size. Crews named Christian and Carlos have handled retaining wall builds that settle and get adjusted later, playscape platforms, sprinkler repairs, and full yard layouts that add raised beds, dry creek beds, and irrigation lines. Reviewers note the finished work holds up and looks clean once the job wraps.

The crew shows up in uniform with proper gear, keeps sidewalks and driveways swept during multi-day projects, and leaves yards cleaner than they found them. They work through weather delays without shortcuts, offer suggestions on layout during the job, and stay flexible when owners add items like steps or extra drains. Service stays inside the listed North Texas towns, and customers say the pricing comes in competitive for the scope.

Google shows a 4.8 rating from 29 reviews. Reviewers keep coming back for the steady quality on everything from small sprinkler fixes to large hardscape jobs, the way the team stays tidy and professional on site, and how Eugene keeps projects moving without repeated follow-ups.

“Eugene and his crew were absolutely amazing! From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and truly dedicated to delivering outstanding results. The team went above and beyond paying attention to every detail. Their hard work, expertise, and commitment really set them apart. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality landscaping services. Thank you for an amazing job!”

“Absolutely would recommend this company. Eugene and his team far exceeded my expectations, taking my initial project request and turning it into an artistic final result. The team’s care in their work showed every day across the 8-day project, with them running a leaf blower to clear off sidewalks, picking up any trash, and just generally always leaving the work site in good shape. On one particular occasion, one of the workers walked up to a little mound of cement dust on my driveway with a broom and rather than sweep it into the lawn right next to it, he repeatedly swept it back into a mound and picked it up by handfuls into a bucket to take away. Little details like that make all the difference to me in feeling assured that I picked the right company. I had some minor follow-up tweaks that I reached out about and Eugene was more than willing to accommodate! You won’t regret going with this team.”

“Eugene and his crew did a fabulous job. I hired him with a multitude of issues that I wanted him to resolve. The main one being drainage. He was able to pinpoint the problem areas and even after the recent hard rain, the water drains off quickly. He also did a makeover on the side yards in my backyard to make them a usable space. This included artificial turf, a stone landscape border, a concrete patio and sidewalk for the trashcan area with a fence partition, a flagstone area close to my pool equipment and three beautiful planters filled with garden soil, which he placed on top of a retaining wall that he created surrounded by gravel. Eugene is a visionary and came up with the perfect design that was carried through by quality workmanship. The entire project took just under two weeks. My husband and I are very pleased and recommend him to anyone.”

“We love Eugene and his team! They built a beautiful platform for our playscape and came out to fix some sprinkler issues for us. Eugene is wonderful to work with, prompt and trustworthy. He will continue to be our first contact with any yard related issues”

“We had Eugene and his team from New Horizon Design & Build come out to help us complete a project. We had a retaining wall previously built by another contractor. We decided to put artificial turf between the house and wall. Learning all we could from YouTube about installing it, we decided to find a professional installer. Eugene and his team not only installed the turf but finished out the backside of the wall. With the turf going in you were able to see about a foot of ruff finished wall. He put a light coat of mortar on the stones. It looks great. They also designed and built the steps going to the ground below. They connected pvc drain pipe and emitters to our gutter down spouts. They even used their trencher to make trenches for us to bury electrical and water lines. Eugene is very knowledgeable of masonry, irrigation, all things landscaping and probably any other project you have in mind. His team is very professional, hard working and attentive to detail. They cleaned up the site everyday before leaving. They worked from early morning until after the sun went down using lights. Eugene’s pricing for our project made it affordable for us to hire them. We absolutely would rec”

“Eugene and his crew Christian and Carlos were phenomenal. We made a mess trying to install pavers ourselves, quickly realizing we were inept and ill equipped. We don't have a large space ... More of a garden home. All other vendors had a very large minimum price, way outside the scope of our project. Eugene uses beautiful Belgard pavers. This company was meticulous and didn't stop until Eugene was satisfied. Even with a couple bouts of Texas weather the work was done quickly and they left the workspace clean. Eugene took great care not to ruin our new sod. We are very happy and would not hesitate to hire New Horizon again. (Note: one pic is from the mess we made trying to do this ourselves).”

“Eugene and his team removed two Bradford Pear trees that were threatening to damage our house. They took down the two 18+ year old, fragile trees, cleared all the debris, ground the stumps, and left our yard cleaner than when they started. Could not be happier with their work!!”

“We have used New Horizon Design on more then 5 projects and they have always done an excellent job, above and beyond great customer service overall just a great experience. Thank you Eugene and your guys. 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼”

“Eugene and his crews are top notch! We have employed New Horizon for more than five years on multiple projects and regular landscaping and arbor services. They have always performed with the highest integrity and exceeded our expectations.”

“We had this team completely landscape and hardscape our entire backyard, about .4 acre. It was a large project and we are so happy with EVERYTHING! This included a new patio and pergola, walkways, a large dry creek bed with bridges, raised garden beds, a shed and chair swing. The flower beds are stunning, as is our side yard. Most important was a new irrigation system throughout. They were willing to add countless new things, remaining highly flexible. They are extremely knowledgeable and worked together with us throughout. We highly recommend this hardworking team builder and design company.”

“I was recommended this company through a neighbor for the removal of 2 full size trees. Quotes came in at a competitive price. Eugene and team were all extremely professional, presented well (in uniforms), adequate gear & safety gear, etc. I would absolutely recommend New Horizon for any type of service.”

“I highly recommend New Horizon Design and Build. Eugene and his crew made improvement suggestions that I had not thought about. The work process and finished product were very professional and more beautiful than I had anticipated. I will definitely use this company again.”

“Eugene and crew did an outstanding job laying zoysia sod. No short cuts here. So very responsive from start to finish. If you are in need of sod, call Eugene.”

“New Horizon keeps my yard looking great! We love our new shrub bed and trees with rock edging! Eugenio is awesome to work with to design your yard just the way you want it.”

“Eugenio and crew did a fantastic job in just a few hours. Our shrubs and landscaping haven’t looked this good in years. We will definitely be calling again.”

“I got a recommendation on Nextdoor from Geronimo (Who works for New Horizon Services) to use their company for our landscape and after seeing their work I booked a consultation online. Eugene (Geronimo’s brother) came out and we talked to him about what we wanted to have done and told us his company was booked out for 3 weeks (Which we totally understood because it’s spring season) but that he would send over the landscape design in 2 days. 2 days past, no response. The following day we called, he picked up and said he didn’t see our text message but that he would make sure to send over the landscape design as soon as possible. We waited a whole week and never got the design. I reached out to Geronimo on Nextdoor to let him know what happened and said he would talk to him. Reached out again to follow up with him and he said, “Hi Stefanie, Eugene got to busy and won’t be able to do it but can recommend someone else.” Unbelievable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY LANDSCAPE SERVICES. They are so unprofessional and lack communication. If only they could’ve told us they were too busy and couldn’t take new clients we could’ve started the process to look for another landscape comp”

“Hired Eugene and his team to build a retaining wall and raise the grade in my yard. They did an amazing job and after the wall settled came out to correct any issues. Also raised the heads on my existing sprinkler to accomodate grading and retaining wall install. Would recommend and will def use in the future...”

“New Horizons has done several projects for us. They always deliver excellent work in a very timely fashion. Great people and great work ethic!!”

“Thank you to this great group. After our pool install we hired this group to come in and do a wonderful landscape that was amazing. Our customers liked what they received and wanted more work done. Everything was done with great quality and performance. I would recommend them for any work needed as well subbing work to.”

“I have had the pleasure of providing multiple 3D renderings for New Horizon. I am constantly impressed with the delivery of the design concepts in real life.
