“Outdoor Living Pool and Patio built our pool, and overall we had a great experience with the entire team. Clint Bandfield did an outstanding job with the design and was incredibly helpful throughout the process. His communication was excellent, and what really stood out was his hands-on approach. Even though he was the salesman, he came out to our house multiple times during construction. At one point, he even grabbed a shovel to help locate a buried valve. That level of involvement is rare, and I truly appreciate his dedication and customer care. Tanner was also extremely responsive through the JobTread system—sometimes answering questions within minutes, which made the process much smoother. Midway through the project, Tony Fine took over as project manager, and he was top notch. He communicated well and was always professional and reassuring. While I would have appreciated more proactive updates—there were times when crews showed up without notice and I wasn’t sure what was scheduled—a simple weekly plan would have made the experience even better. “We recently completed a backyard project with Outdoor Living Pool & Patio, and overall, we are very pleased with the results. The quality of work and design is excellent—the pool, stonework, artificial turf, and landscaping are both beautiful and functional. The finished space truly reflects the vision we had for our backyard. However, the project management left room for improvement. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent—both between us and the project managers and internally between the managers and subcontractors. There were instances of inattentiveness to detail, which led to delays and failed inspections (though these were eventually resolved). Additionally, a change in project manager mid-project added to the challenges. On a positive note, we want to specifically recognize Jeremy Isenhower, our salesperson. Jeremy was a major reason we chose Outdoor Living Pool & Patio after interviewing four different contractors. He listened carefully to our vision and invested significant time and effort into creating a design that truly reflected what we wanted. “*****Buyer beware***** I don’t even know where to begin but If you want to save yourself a giant headache, very costly repairs and a terribly built pool/deck, look elsewhere. We had a pool built by Outdoor Living Pool and Patio in 2022 and we have had nothing but problems and terrible communication the entire time. Multiple meetings with Tanner (sales consultant), James (project manager), Lance (the owner) and eventually Collie, not a single one of them would follow through with anything that they said they would do. It obviously starts from the top down. We have every email, text and phone call logged. After the pool was “completed” we started filling it with water and noticed lots of calcium buildup on the tile wall immediately, James was taking care of all of the chemicals at this point and said it would be cleaned once everything was balanced. It was never removed after asking multiple times. We have a very reputable pool care company taking care of our pool and they told us it was never “sealed”. They/we have worked very hard to remove the calcium and it will not come off, the tile is ruined. The travertine coping had pieces filled in with a putty that eventually (6m -1yr) ”

The whole prcoess went smooth from the initial talks with Clint to the build experience with Cody. Cody was very responsive throughout the build process and came by the house muiltiple times to ensure the contractors were doing the job correctly. Both Cody and Clint were very patient with our numerous questions and made sure that everything was perfect for us. This project turned out even better than we could have expected. “I had the pleasure of working with a top class team. Starting from the initial design phase, BJ mapped out our backyard to spec and hit every point we wanted given the limited space we had. I had 4-5 companies trying to secure the bid and outdoor living was the most professional, prepared, and best when it came to competitive pricing. James was assigned as our Project Manager and was very responsive and helpful when dealing with standard project roadblocks a long the way. He was informative and always worked to resolve all concerns we had. He always took the time to explain a process that was new to us. Collie was also on site as the relationship manager with his goal of putting the customer first. We had a few things we ran into such as loss of two trees during the dig and some minor impacts during the build. He fixed everything we asked and always delivered on his word. He also always took our calls and was thorough in explaining the final steps in resolving remaining actions prior to sign off of last payment. They were the most competitively priced company and they were straight forward with our wants and the project. There were only a few tiny communication issues during the building process where we felt out of the loop, but we were able to get the info and reassurance within 24hrs. “Very engaging during pre construction, but once they break ground the nightmare begins. Complete failing score on communication, scheduling, and follow-up during the construction phase, but also less than a year later on warranty covered items. Tried many, many times calling, texting, messaging on their job board and no response from anyone. No timeline of when and if someone will come address the warranty issues. Good luck if you’re having Outdoor Living do your project. Update: even after their initial response, which seems to be a generic response, to my review, I have yet to get anyone from this company to call or message me.”

“Eastin was our lead guy for our project and he did an outstanding job! From the first day that construction started, he was accessible via text and phone call if I had any questions. He laid out the project for me up front as well as the timeline and stuck to it! He was honest and provided valuable suggestions along the way to make minor cosmetic improvements here and there. Their scheduling team was prompt to respond to inquiries and fix any issues that came up (there were almost none)! The entire team here was professional and hired only the best. “We hired OLPP for the second time in November of 2022 for our pool renovation and now our backyard outdoor kitchen and extended patio, pool and surrounding pool area is complete. We are thrilled with the outcome - it’s everything we wanted and it’s beautiful! Having said that, the project was not without some frustration mainly due to the length of time it took the company to finish the second job (months longer than expected) and lack of proactive communication at times about changes in the schedule, delays, etc. In the end, all our concerns were addressed, the quality of the work is excellent and we can’t wait to fully enjoy the backyard this spring and summer!”

“I would not recommend this company to anyone. This spring our pump started freezing up. We do have the platinum warranty on all pool equipment. They sent a tech out, that was over 2 and half months. He said it was either the fan or capacitor, even the fan is working fine. Nothing has been done. We have called and tried to get a response nothing, we tried emailing nothing. I think this is very unprofessional and would not recommend their services.”

“It’s been a couple of years since I’ve had my pool. I feel they did a pretty good job building but communication was definitely lacking. The biggest complaint I had was the decking around the pool. They came out to repair 3 times within warranty and it was never done correctly. All of a sudden the time lapses for warranty, still never addressed the why it keeps deterring and now sorry, you are just out of luck. The decking keeps moving and leaves ugly gaps. So disappointed and having to do these repairs is very costly when you already paid so much! Use caution”

“We had a great experience with our pool build with Outdoor Living Pool and Patio. First, I want to share that we had talked with probably a dozen pool companies over a two year period before choosing our pool builder. The first thing that helped to earn our business was simply this… We had a meeting with Mike Huddleston (designer) and the following week he was going on vacation. At the same time we had a meeting with someone from Puryear Pools. That designer was also getting ready to go out of town and let us know this but had NO backup to help us and left us hanging. Mike went out of his way to make sure that we were taken care of while he was away and put us in touch with the actual owner of Outdoor Living, Lance Hill. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated this as this was our first pool build and we didn’t want a week to go by and lose that time while trying to process everything we were about to embark on. He ended up being a very good resource for us that week educating us on things we would have never asked. Once Mike was back, I have to admit, the guy has the patience of a saint. We were a tough sell, trust me. We started our process in June 2016 and got so overwhelm”

“We got construction underway on the pool right after the COVID pandemic started. Terrible timing, but who knew. It presented numerous challenges and extended the construction schedule quite a bit. It was frustrating at times, but what construction project isn’t when it’s right in your backyard. It’s something you see every day when you wake and go to bed. Communication and scheduling could have been better, but given the circumstances it was understandable. They were very responsive, as they could be, every time an issue arose that I brought to their attention. The pool turned out great! We use it almost everyday. The kids love it! When people come over, friends, family and service techs alike, they all have that wow first impression. I am in the warranty period and every issue or question I’ve had thus far has been addressed in a timely manner.”
