Artisan Turf

Artisan Turf takes on landscaping jobs across Fort Worth and the wider Dallas area. They focus on turf installation for homes, custom putting greens, and commercial spaces. Blake and Spencer lead the work with their crew on these projects, using the phone number listed on their site for quotes and scheduling.

Homeowners call them to replace concrete backyards with turf that kids can play on, add pet turf around pools to cut down on mud tracked inside, and build putting greens with features like chipping pads or hills. Some jobs start from bare space and include design input on layout and function. The results give usable yards that stay green without mowing, watering, or fertilizing, and crews finish most installs in one or two days.

They answer calls quickly, often showing up for estimates the next day with samples in hand. Pricing lands competitive against other bids, and crews keep to the schedule while cleaning up at the end of each day. Communication stays steady from the first visit through the final walkthrough, and they handle tight spots or existing trees without extra issues. Work covers the DFW region and sticks to promised timelines.

Reviewers note strong results on turf quality, drainage, and how the finished yards hold up for daily use. They mention the team’s knowledge on design, attention to detail during install, and overall professionalism from Blake, Spencer, Carlos, and the rest of the crew. Many highlight fair pricing and the ease of the whole process from start to finish.

“I cannot speak highly enough about Blake and his team. We started out with the space and built it completely from scratch, making changes as we went. Blake made some great suggestions about the location of the chipping pad and he even added a small hill for larger breaking putts. The experience was incredible and now we have a turf putting green that our family can enjoy for many years to come. Artisan turf is a family oriented business and their sole purpose is to give you a space that you will love.”

“Was an excellent experience. Very reasonable/competitive pricing, great communication, and quick install from start to finish. Turned a fully concrete backyard into a turfed yard our kids can play in and added a putting green for dad!”

“Just got our putting green installed today and it looks amazing!! Highly recommend Blake and his team at Artisan Turf. They were so easy to work with and completed the job in 1 day! Do not hesitate to hire them (and I am super picky!).”

“Blake and his team are nothing short of incredible! We interviewed three vendors, and it was not hard to decide that Blake was who we wanted for the project. He was honest, helpful with the design and function, and really made our vision come to life but better! My husband is thrilled with the outcome and I know we’ll enjoy our turf and green with our friends and family for years to come! 10/10 recommend!”

“We received estimates from three different turf companies and were blown away by Artisan Turf, they were a different caliber than the other companies so we chose them to turf our backyard. Two of our neighbors used Artisan Turf as well with outstanding results and that is how we heard of them. From our first appt to get our estimate to the final walk through we felt so taken care of and comfortable with the entire process. Blake was so thorough, honest, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. The crew was so attentive to detail, efficient, precise, and hardworking. We are SO pleased with the results and are so glad we pulled the trigger! We can’t speak highly enough about Artisan Turf and would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them!!!! After pics and before pics attached below”

“Reached out to Blake for an estimate based on a friend of the family that referred him to us. Blake was prompt, courteous and very attentive to our needs. He came out within a day and I had the samples and an estimate within hours. We selected Artisian over two other companies because of their customer service, Blake followed up and answered every question I had. Installation was on schedule and the crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend Blake and his team to anyone who needed a turf solution.”

“We did an extensive search for companies to complete our backyard project. After receiving many estimates, the prices were fairly competitive. Ultimately, we went Artisan because of our confidence in Spencer. His team did a fantastic job and completed the work on scheduled and as promised. Our entire project took only two days after the initial consultation. We highly recommend this company and have been enjoying our time on the turf!”

“I have been wanting turf in my backyard around our pool, ever since we got our pool. Having dogs made it hard for my grass to grow in the backyard. I was wanting something that was low maintenance, looked good, and was pet friendly. I am one to do a ton of research before purchasing anything, especially something that won’t be cheap. I got over 10 quotes to put turf in my backyard around the pool. I looked online, social media, Google, Yelp, anywhere I could find reviews and photos to help with my decision. I sent inquiries to several companies, and Blake with Artisan Turf, was the first to respond and responded right away. He scheduled a time to come out and give me an estimate on the next business day. When Blake came out he went over the whole process. He listened, and answered all of my questions. He didn’t pressure me while I was getting quotes from other companies, and still answered any question I had while getting other quotes. I had quotes that were cheaper, and some that were more expensive. Blake was professional, and built a relationship with me. In the end, this helped make my decision to go with Blake and Artisan Turf. They were able to schedule me in quickly. Blake”

“We called Artisan Turf because of a good review we saw on our Neighborhood App. I'm so glad we did. Spencer Shepherd came out addressed our concerns, answered all our questions. We have large dogs, wanted to eliminate the mud & dirt coming into our home & pool. We had a pet turf installed & Hubby wanted a putting green designed by Blake pugh. They did everything promised, were on time for appointments & installation completed in 2 days. We love our yard! Wish we had done years ago. If you are considering artificial turf, contact Artisan Turf for a painless installation. Thank you Spencer, Blake and your wonderful hard working crew for our new yard.”

“Great experience working with Artisan Turf! They finished my putting green install in 1 day! Very professional and easy to work with staff! If you need turf work completed, do not hesitate to call! The prices were very reasonable, and finished product is amazing!”

“My wife and I looked all over DFW in search of a first-class, professional turf installation company that specializes in putting greens and chipping areas. We were BEYOND BLESSED to come across Artisan Turf!!!! Blake Pugh and his crew’s attention to detail was a joy to watch. Having a guy that was a professional golfer designing your putting surface was a dream come true. My wife has been over the moon with the finished product. If there were 10 stars, I would give Artisan 11. I could not recommend this company any more highly!!!! Great job, Blake. Any potential customer of yours is welcome to come see our finished product anytime.”

“Excellent company! Efficient and high quality work. They installed turf in my yard and did a top notch job. It looks immaculate and drains perfectly well even when it rains a lot.
