Texas Sod Pros

Texas Sod Pros handles sod installation and lawn replacement work for homeowners in the Fort Worth area and across the DFW region. Hunter runs the company and focuses on new installs, full yard replacements, and patch repairs using fresh-cut sod and proper soil preparation. The business takes on projects that range from small side yard sections with limited sun to complete backyard overhauls and front yard conversions. They cover service calls in Dallas and Fort Worth as well as surrounding spots in the metro area.

Customers often call after dealing with patchy or dead grass that needs full replacement. Hunter and his crew have installed Palisades Zoysia in front and side yards, Emerald Zoysia in larger sections, and mixed grass types for random fill-in spots. Reviewers describe crews scraping old material, tilling soil, adding topsoil, leveling ground, laying sod, checking sprinkler coverage, rolling it down, and cleaning up at the end of the day. Jackson, Gerret, Louis, and Bo have been named on jobs where the work finished the same day it started and produced even results that took root within weeks.

Reviewers note that Hunter returns calls the same day, provides quotes quickly, and schedules crews to arrive early or on time. The team communicates during the job, answers questions about watering, and follows up after installation to check progress. Pricing comes in lower than several other quotes received, and work stays on schedule without extra delays. Service stays limited to the DFW area with jobs completed in one or two days depending on size.

Google shows a 5-star rating from 78 reviews. Common points include steady communication from Hunter, crews that arrive prepared and finish cleanly, fair costs, and sod that holds up after the first few weeks of care.

“I searched Google for Texas Sod Pros when my backyard was a complete mess and came across Hunter White. He promptly returned my call and scheduled an appointment. The quote was fair, and we agreed on a start date. His crew showed up early that morning, and by late afternoon the full sod installation was complete. I was very happy with the initial work and how professional the crew was throughout the project. Hunter even followed up three weeks later to check on how the grass was doing. At the time, I was a little concerned, but he told me to continue watering and that I would start seeing results soon. He was absolutely right. The grass came in beautifully, and I am extremely happy with the final results. I waited until I saw the full results before posting this review. I give Hunter and his crew 5 stars. I’m very happy with my backyard and will definitely call Hunter again for future projects.”

“Good communication and got us scheduled very quickly. Price was less than several other quotes we received. Sod was installed 5 weeks ago and while I was worried the first week as some areas were turning brown (stress and TX heat) we increased our watering time and now the grass and green and lush! Photos taken day after installation and today.”

“Looking for someone to assist with sod work to keep the HOA at bay I searched “where to buy sod near me” and Texas Sod Pros came up with the google map close to my house so I gave Hunter a call. Very patient and addressed all my questions. I took photo of the area, received a quote, accepted and Hunter and team came out Monday to handle the job. I’ve seen so many landscapers and companies throwing down dying or weak sod to water, the sod provided was green and lush. Service and customer service was excellent and professional. Cost of service was affordable and honest. I have since referred my neighbors as they are loving the work that Texas Sod Pros did.”
