Blooming Colors Nursery and Landscaping Ltd

Blooming Colors Nursery and Landscaping runs a 4-acre garden center and full landscaping operation from its location at 2221 Ira E. Woods Ave in Grapevine, Texas. The family owned company has handled design and build work since 1994 with Texas Master Certified designers on staff. Their services cover landscape installation, pool and outdoor living projects, and estate management for homes in Southlake, Colleyville, Westlake, Flower Mound, Grapevine and the wider DFW area. They keep an on-site nursery that supplies trees, shrubs, flowers and related materials for their own crews and retail customers.

Homeowners describe jobs that include new front and back yard landscaping, irrigation installs, zoysia sod placement, drainage corrections with pavers and river rock, custom pot designs, tree and shrub selection, backyard redesigns after freeze damage, outdoor grill construction, pond and fountain builds with heavy stone work, and pool area coordination. Nick met clients at their homes for consultations then guided them through plant choices at the nursery. Barry handled phased designs that cleared HOA review and later maintained the finished yards. Mel Fuller prepared plans that covered front beds, back beds and shaded side areas. Brie helped with plant picks and pot arrangements. Olivia, Collette, Jackie, Sam and Breanna walked customers through options and answered questions on site.

The crews arrive prepared and finish projects within the stated time frames. They replace plants that fail over winter at no extra charge and adjust irrigation as needed during installs. Staff members explain variety differences, guide selections for shade or sun, and work around homeowner budgets by breaking larger jobs into stages. Reviewers note reasonable prices on stock and quick responses to service calls. Work spans the DFW metroplex with the nursery open for both retail shopping and project pickups.

Reviewers give the business a 4.8 rating on Google. Common remarks cover the large plant and tree inventory, consistent help from named staff members, clean results on design and build jobs, and reliable follow-through on replacements and maintenance.

“I had a great experience with Blooming Colors Nursery. Nick came to our house to do a consult, then later met us at the store to show us the recommended plants and walk through expectations. His team showed up prepared and completed our project in a timely manner. I would use this nursery again.”

“Blooming Colors did our landscaping in November and we were so pleased with it! The zoysia lawn specifically has been amazing. The irrigation piece was done so well. And as a bonus, the few plants that didn’t make it through the winter were replaced quickly by Blooming Colors. Highly recommend!”

“I can’t say enough good things about this place. Every time I come in, I’m met with kindness, patience, and genuine help-which is not always easy to find these days. I especially want to recognize Olivia. She consistently goes above and beyond to answer questions, offer guidance, and make sure you leave feeling confident in what you’re buying. Whether you’re a beginner or someone with more experience, she meets you where you are and truly cares. I’ve seen some negative reviews, and honestly, that has not been my experience at all. My visits have been nothing but positive, and it’s clear that the team works hard to create a welcoming and helpful environment. If you’re looking for a place that actually takes the time to help you succeed with your plants, this is it. Highly recommend!”

“There is a huge selection of trees, shrubs, and flowers at this 4-acre nursery. I stopped by to check on inventory and pricing for some Indian Hawthorn and Azaleas, and I was impressed with the quality and variety of their stock. The friendly associate on duty helped me find what I needed and was knowledgeable regarding the different varieties available. Prices seemed reasonable and very similar to those at other nurseries I've shopped.”

“Beautiful selection here at this nursery. They have many different choices to choose from such as Proven Winners! Absolutely amazing products all around, really love the azaleas that are available. All of the staff here are very welcoming. I have to give a special thanks to brie for her patience with me. I would recommend this nursery to anyone in the DFW area!”

“Beautiful nursery, so many plants, flowers, etc. I love the layout of the place! I’ve been a few times but most recently was helped by a nice gal named Brie like the cheese. Super nice and helpful as I’m no expert in gardening yet!”

“Brie was so great at helping us create and designing our beautiful pots. Thank you Brie! Great job. We love it!!!”

“A good friend of my wife recommended Blooming Colors and we are glad she did. Had a good experience there selecting Fall Mums. They have a large selection and great customer service. Collette was especially helpful and knowledgeable. Getting ready for Fall and have more do and will make them our new go-to location.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Blooming Colors Nursery! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly smiles and a genuine willingness to help. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and patient — they took the time to answer all my questions and helped me pick the perfect plants that would work in my apartment. What really stood out to me were the amazing prices. I was expecting to spend a lot more, but I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was — and the quality of plants are top-notch! It’s clear they care about offering great value to their customers! Thank you to all the staff!”

“I love my yard. Thank you Barry! I have used Blooming Colors for a few years now - designing and installing new landscaping after the big freeze, fixing a drainage issue, and designing and building an outdoor grill to name recent projects. I am the kind of homeowner who likes to have a go-to guy for everything and Blooming Colors is now my go-to for all things landscaping related. Great work and terrific customer service!”

“This place is amazing! The landscape design team is top-notch and the trees that were installed at my home are thriving! We had so much fun walking around the nursery and picking out the exact plants we wanted and now I get to see them in my front yard every day. Some of our neighbors use their landscape maintenance service and my goodness their yards look like manicured showpieces, whenever I’m ready to give up taking care of my own yard this will be who I use. I can’t wait to see what the team at Blooming Colors will come up with when we re-design the pool and backyard area, so far every project has been such a great experience.”

“I hired Blooming Colors Nursery to redesign our backyard, and the results are incredible! Their team listened to our ideas and turned them into a beautiful, functional space we love. The new layout and plants are perfect, and the entire design has transformed our backyard into a place we enjoy every day. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the process easy from start to finish. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. I highly recommend Blooming Colors Nursery to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor space—they do amazing work!”

“We worked with Blooming Colors Nursery in Grapevine and Mel Fuller was assigned to come up with a landscaping plan. After some discussions, we came up with a final plan. Mel was cordial to accommodate. Had some work done in the front and back beds and all looks very nice. Also had river rocks with Pavers added along the side of the house by our fence. Since it was constantly shaded, no grass would grow. This idea was perfect and looks amazing.”

“Just went to the plant and sip event! It was amazing, I’m always shopping here! Brie and everyone were incredibly friendly I love blooming colors! If you are a plant junkie like me you’ll love their selection of not only outdoor plants but their indoor options!”

“I’ve been visiting for the last few years, and I can’t get enough! The selection is fantastic. There is always something new and exciting to find. The staff is super friendly and really knows their stuff. Suggesting amazing options and ideas. They’ve helped me pick out some gorgeous plants that are now thriving. Every visit feels like a little adventure, and I love browsing through all the beautiful greenery.”

“We love Blooming Colors! They have been taking care of our yard for a few years now. After we moved into our home, the front yard was in rough shape and the backyard needed major help with a crumbling patio that was way undersized. Barry came and did a gorgeous custom design for us that was very easy to get approved through our HOA. We couldn’t afford the whole thing in one, so he helped us phase it out. Eventually when we put our pool in, he worked directly with the pool designer to make sure everything was planning and executed perfectly. Since we started, Barry’s team has been helping us maintain the yards and take care of everything. Blooming Colors can do it all and I would highly recommend them. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.”

“From start to finish, my experience with Bloomington Colors Nursery & Landscaping has been nothing short of exceptional. Their responsiveness and attention to detail truly set them apart. Not only were they quick to respond, but they were also incredibly helpful in crafting a beautiful vision for my home. The variety of plants and palms they offered for both the front and back of my property was astounding. It allowed me to truly personalize and enhance the aesthetics of my outdoor space in ways I never thought possible. What truly stood out, though, was the team's professionalism and passion for their craft. They're not just experts in landscaping; they're genuinely great people who are dedicated to making their customers happy. Their commitment to excellence shines through in every interaction, making them an absolute pleasure to work with. If you're looking for a nursery and landscaping company that delivers fantastic results while providing personalized service, look no further than Bloomington Colors. They'll exceed your expectations in every way possible. Thanks Nick and Joy, you guys are truly great friends.”

“This place is truly exceptional. The tree selection alone is above and beyond. I ended up taking home a 2ft Japanese maple Red Dragon and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. Jackie spent a lot of time with me going through all the options for my yard and explaining which plants would thrive in my shaded environment. I also just loved talking with her in general. Sam also did a great job showing me exactly where I needed to go for what I needed. Their selection of plants and trees is truly something to behold. I can't wait to go back and finish my purchases for the yard!”

“I’ve shopped at Blooming Colors a few times this spring even though there are many nurseries closer to my house. I really appreciate the service I get at this nursery whether I am calling to inquire about a specific plant or shopping for one at the nursery. From the moment I arrive, someone offers to help me find the plants that I need, load them on a cart, bring them to the register and load them in my car. On my most recent visit I was looking for Rose of Sharon trees and spoke on the phone to Breanna (Bre). She was very helpful and helped me through the decision process ultimately selecting 2 beautiful trees that look so good in my garden. It was a great shopping experience and shouldn’t shopping be fun ? Lastly, this nursery had amazing plants that are very healthy. I will definitely shop here again.”

“Barry Johnson and the team at Blooming Colors Landscape took us from an idea to an embellished design and execution of a landscape for our new house that made it feel like our home. Their modern design pond and backdrop was extraordinary! Their experienced crews managed everything from the placement of 2500# stone blocks, pond and fountain installation and several garden areas including the laying of a new stone front walk and patio. They altered the irrigation as needed for support and added some lighting to highlight their installation in the evening. It was all well done and with super helpful and cordial folks. They made it look easy as only professionals can.”
