“Borders Masonry was hired to install a brick border on my newly poured front walkway, and to perform some repairs to my chimney and several small areas where several bricks had cracked in my exterior walls. I had just had two horrible experiences with the concrete contractors I had hired to pour a new driveway and walkway, so I was going to watch Elias and his crew closely to see if they did the job right or took short cuts at every opportunity. I am that homeowner some contractors would hate to work with, who knows construction, and am picky about doing things correctly. I can not express how happy I am to have come across such a professional organization as Borders Masonry. They were easy to work with and patient as I rescheduled the work a few times because of the problems I was having with the concrete contractor. “Was pretty disappointed , i gave them permission to build me a brick mailbox, trusted their so called experience in picking out the bricks that resemble my destroyed mailbox and similar to the brick on my house. The brick that they ended up using for the mailbox construction was way too lighter and donest look anything like the shade of bricks that i send them in the picture. They did send me a sample picture and i expressed my openion that they were lighter. But they claimed. 'Trust us, this is very similar to your current bricks". Not only they werent anything similar , they send a third party to construct the the mailbox. I send pictures showing them the brick color was completly different than what they send me, when they started the construction itself , how ever i got 0 responses to the 3 or 4 messages i send the, and they saw ( i got the read receipt). I payed the money i agreed to since the workers dod the work in the hot weather, nut at the end of the day i felt betrayed and scammed. A horrible experience that i font wish for anyone else!”

“I haven’t often found a contractor that exceeded my expectations, but Borders Masonry is now on that list. Following the removal of brick due to exterior faucet plumbing repairs they replaced and repaired the brick. I was apprised beforehand that they would not be able to match the brick perfectly due to the age but they would do the best they could. When done, I could not have said that any repairs had been done. I also had them extend a short section of retaining wall, re–mortar some exterior doorway tile, and we talked about filling in some cracker retaining wall mortar, however this was left being an optional thing, and I was not anticipating this would be done. I couldn’t be there during the repairs, but was very impressed when arriving home. The brick work was done and looked much better than I anticipated, the wall was complete with a few aspects I didn’t anticipate (a downward curve to follow the soil line,) adding a small piece of brick to complete where it met another section (I was anticipating doing that myself.) and a good deal of mortaring on the remaining section of retaining wall which I was not anticipating being done. In addition, some repairs to cracking mortar/”

We had a very old style brick that was discontinued and he was unsure he could find a close enough match, but he really came through and managed to find a brick that was so close, you couldn’t tell them apart after the fact.
