HyperMotion Design and Landscape

HyperMotion Design and Landscape runs out of McKinney, Texas as a woman owned and operated business led by Aimee and Lori. They focus on landscape design and installation while running a garden center and nursery. Stock includes trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, organic mulch and soil for sale to retail and wholesale buyers. They also install trees and handle work listed under sprinkler system contracting and landscape design categories.

Homeowners call them for backyard and front yard makeovers that fix weeds, ailing shrubs, uneven slopes and drainage issues. Projects often include natural stone water features, boulder retaining walls, patios, walkways and steps. Aimee and Lori pick drought resistant native plants such as bee balm and milkweed that suit Texas conditions. They have revised old builder grade borders, added raised beds with premium soil and created eye appealing drainage solutions around pools.

Aimee and Lori stay on site to organize layouts and handle timing around weather delays. Reviewers note reasonable prices on plants and full projects along with direct talk about what fits a given budget. The nursery runs on an honor system when no one is present. Staff and owners answer questions on plant placement and maintenance for local yards.

Reviews praise the owners and staff for knowledge on plants and stonework plus honest advice during planning. Common points include creative use of boulders for unique water features and clean results on plant installs and removals. Multiple customers describe returning for second projects after the first one solved erosion or transformed neglected spaces.

“I had the most amazing experience with Aimee and her team! They are true professionals in what they do. Not only do they care about what the best course of action is for your situation and budget, but their honesty is commendable. It is rare to see this level of commitment in any business in today’s world. I would 110% recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an honest company that prides themselves in their services.”

“A hidden gem! I'm so glad that I found them. They carry a wide range of plants at extremely good prices. And they'll help you decide what works best in your space if you need guidance. Love this place!”

“WOW! Aimee, Lori and staff just finished a multi-faceted project in our backyard, side yard and front yard. The natural stone water feature is absolutely amazing and quite unique! True professionalism from the planning stages all the way through to end of project. They had some challenges due to the recent weather here in McKinney - all were handled with precision and timing in mind. We could not be more pleased with the final product. Jump in line, you will not be disappointed - in fact you will be blown away!”

“Good selection of native plants. I got bee balm, milkweed, and a really pretty purslane. Honor system if nobody is there. I am so happy I found this place :)”

“We bought our house a few months ago and took ownership of a backyard that was never cared for. Weeds, ailing shrubs, uneven slope, drainage issues - all the good stuff :) We wanted to get a full-fledged back yard makeover. We got the designs using Yardzen.com. We then started getting quotes from landscapers. We spoke to 10 landscaping companies and got quotes from six of them. Most of these followed a similar pattern. They would come in - take a look at the designs, do a quick site walkover and quip an estimate the next day. There were all "yes men" - no suggestions or changes to the design. When we spoke to Aimee from Hypermotion Landscaping, she was different right off the bat. She glanced at the Yardzen design for about 15 seconds. She said the designs might be beautiful but are definitely not practical. The patio was placed on the far right off the yard which hardly got any breeze. The tree placement was not ideal based on the slope off the yard. Some of the plants were placed in a spot where they would get burnt with excess sunlight. Moreover, Aimee found some foundational issues which had happened due to soil erosion over the years. Aimee gave us an estimate which was about”

“I’d highly recommend Aimee and team for all your landscaping needs! We have a large front yard that needed landscaping. She did an excellent job in helping us select flowers that are drought resistant and that can thrive in TX weather. I love the fact that she owns her own nursery as well, so you know the quality is superior. Her team did an excellent job installing and she was even on site to organize the layout. Will definitely be using her for other projects!”

“Hypermotion has done two projects for us, both involving large rocks: A patio and walkway in our back yard and walkways and porch steps in the front. We could not be happier with the work they did. The creativity and skill are unsurpassed in our experience, and they are wonderful to work with. They produce something unique.”

“Must see! Very reasonable prices on some great plant options.”

“Great plants, great prices, locally owned! Very knowledgeable and helpful owners”

“New to Texas and desperate to locate a reputable and experienced landscaper capable of transforming our drab grass-filled backyard into an ecological sanctuary. After months of research and interviews we finally discovered Aimee & Lori at HyperMotion. They are uniquely gifted in landscape design, irrigation, drainage, botanical selection, and stonework - excelling in crafting one-of-a-kind water features. Their combination of skills and ability to listen intently to our preferences and concerns led to a perfectly executed project. We are so happy with the quality of the design and stunning variety of unique plants suited to north Texas conditions. Our new garden is a feast for the eyes and an inviting home for birds, bees, butterflies, and toads. The waterfall both anchors the garden design and provides a relaxing sensory experience to all who care to share this space with us. We give HyperMotion our highest rating, and expect to be repeat customers. Aimee & Lori are simply terrific!”

“Hyper Motion is the best! Lori and Aimee are kind and honest. This isn’t just a place to buy good quality plants at a good price but a place to clear your mind. Everyone should stop by and grab some plants and see the chickens and hear a kind “hello” from Lori and Aimee.”

“After speaking with Aimee about the work I would like to have done to my front and back yard, she and her crew created a new front yard and enhanced my back yard pool area immensely. They did a very professional job in removing my old bushes and shrubs and installing all of the new plants, plus the clean up was immaculate. I would definitely recommend HyperMotion for any of your landscaping needs.”

“Every good thing written in other reviews is exactly true. Hypermotion is the real deal. We had just completed the world's worst home building experience and were sick of over promising, under delivering rip off artists masquerading as contractors so we were incredibly skeptical of what Aimee offered. It just sounded too good to be true. Plus Aimee is very unstructured and super creative, everything that makes my spreadsheet loving husband super uncomfortable. But we took a gamble and never looked back. These two women are a joy to work with and their word is impeccable, their crew and subs are great as well. We started out just doing a boulder retaining wall revision and ended up doing a huge front yard project with riverbed drainage and a large rock slab walk, as well as the back and side yards and we couldn't be happier with what they delivered. Almost one year later and our yard is even more beautiful today, just as they promised. If you want your yard to take your breath away, enjoy watching creative types do their magic, are looking for beautiful landscape artistry for a fair price, these are your people.”

“Amazing place to get all your landscaping needs! Every plant we have purchased from them has been healthy and thrived. Plus, they are reasonably priced to boot. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Their level of customer service goes above and beyond!! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!”

“We sought out the help and inspiration of Aimee and Lori after we moved into a home with no backyard landscaping. Being new to the area, we were not knowledgeable about trees and shrubbery that would flourish in our yard. Their vision, knowledge, and hard work transformed our backyard into an oasis and bird sanctuary. The amazing waterfall created the refuge-feeling my wife dreamed of. We highly recommend Hyper Motion Design and Landscape.”

These ladies are absolutely amazing and really know their stuff. Customer service was genuine and they care…very rare now a days. Prices were awesome! My wife and I came in for fruit trees and walked away with way more including an education about how a complete garden works.”

“Great solution for the BIG problem we had with soil erosion and mud getting in the pool. We are very happy with their design, not just did Aimee solved our problems but we ended with a gorgeous yard! Because we already had the pool, this was a very challenging job moving boulders in tight spaces, but Hypermotion did it 👏🏼 This is the second time we had worked done by Hypermotion, since the first time we were very pleased.”

“It has been a true pleasure working with Aimee and Lori. With your yard as their palette, these ladies work hard create a one of a kind masterpiece. My husband and I moved here from northern Ohio where over saturation and cloud cover were our major landscape obstacles. Faced with a dry sunny climate we did not even begin to know what to do with our poorly neglected yard. After exploring options with many landscape contractors, we found Hypermotion. What a find! Not only did Aimee work to design something that would go with the housestyle and terrain, but she brought a little of my north country roots in making me feel at home. Lori built beautiful structures to enhance my view. Along with their artistry, these ladies know horticulture, planting just the right trees and periennals in optimal spots as well as continually educating me on care. If you are looking for a total landscape package, look no further than Hypermotion Landscape Design.”

“Working with Aimee, Lori and their team was truly a pleasure. Their attention to detail and creative design impressed us more than we thought possible on the front yard project. I never dreamed the yard could look this good.”

“We are so pleased we selected HyperMotion for our home landscaping. The outcome is outstanding. The high quality work from this professional firm has certainly impressed us.”
