Emerald Yards

Emerald Yards runs landscaping operations out of San Antonio, Texas, where the heat and dry spells put constant pressure on lawns and trees. Homeowners here deal with overgrowth, poor soil, and the need for regular cuts to keep yards workable through long summers. The crew handles general yard upkeep without extra layers of sales talk, showing up to manage properties that range from neglected back lots to front lawns that need steady attention. Their approach fits the local reality of sudden growth spurts after rain followed by weeks of drought that can kill grass fast if left alone.

They perform cuts and full cleanings on both front and back yards, clearing leaves and overgrowth that build up quickly in the region. One crew arrived the day after a booking and handled a property choked with debris, leaving it mowed and cleared. Scott visits sites to pull soil readings and set up care plans that customers follow step by step. Foreman Julian keeps jobs organized, checks every detail on site, and trims trees from underneath as requested. These steps address the specific problems San Antonio yards face, from failed do-it-yourself attempts to seasonal buildup that blocks walkways.

Customers give them solid marks for work quality that holds up after the crew leaves, response speed that gets crews out without long delays, and clear communication on what will happen next. Most reviews note reliable results on lawn restoration and cleanups even when the starting condition looks rough, though a few jobs miss small details like full under-tree trimming. The pattern shows crews who follow through on the core tasks most homeowners need in this climate. DIRT Score 4.63 from 95 reviews on Finds.

“We’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Emerald Yards, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize the outstanding professionalism of their team—especially their foreman, Julian. Julian consistently goes above and beyond. He pays close attention to every detail, stays organized, and always takes the time to walk through completed work to ensure everything is up to standard. That level of communication and care makes a big difference on a job site and reflects very positively on the entire Emerald Yards team. We truly appreciate the collaboration and look forward to continuing to work together in the future. — All Star Electric”

“At first I attempted to care for my lawn and do what I could with researching, videos and listening to other people. Sadly to say I failed my lawn. Reached out to Scott for help and after coming out to review my lawn and show me the soil readings, we jumped on one of his plans and began the process sometime after summer of 2024. Following his recommendations and being patient, my wife and I have seen a difference with our back lawn from last year to just now. Grateful that I found Scott and his team because my lawn is looking greener and fuller than it was. Looking forward toward these next few months to have my entire lawn looking good.”

“I booked them the day before they came out to do the services, a cut and cleaning of my yard, front and back. The two gentlemen who came out did a fantastic job. My yard was over-run with overgrowth and leaves. They cleaned up everything up and mowed the yard. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to get their yard under control. They didn't turn down the job even with how big it was. They were super professional and really kind. Appreciated everything that they managed to do. Love my house more because of how great a job they did. I wanted to add photos but I dont have any of the before mess and it really was a mess.”

“My experience wasn't as fortunate as advertised. After expressing my request on the phone and thru an email $390 buck later I was still disappointed. After calling the service back, they still fell short of good service. Not all trees were trimmed from underneath and I ended up doing the job myself. I own 3 acer at another property and it takes me 2 1/2 hrs to cut trim and blow away clippings by myself. This property is an acer, but they only did half which was the front yard. It was two guys, $65 each for 3 hrs, this was a rip off.”

“I recently had Emerald Yards take over the care of our lawn and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of their work and the professionalism of their team. I started by meeting with the owner Scott, to discuss the care plan for our lawn. He was incredibly helpful in listening to my concerns and coming up with a plan that would meet my needs. He also took the time to explain the different options available to me and the pros and cons of each. Once we had a plan in place, the team got to work. They were incredibly efficient and worked quickly and efficiently. They were also very respectful of my property and cleaned up after themselves after each visit. The finished product is absolutely stunning. My lawn is beautiful and green again! I would highly recommend Emerald Yards to anyone looking for high-quality landscaping services.”
