The Planted Stone Landscape and Hardscape

The Planted Stone Landscape and Hardscape runs landscaping and hardscaping jobs from Wylie, Texas. Oscar leads the company and takes on patios, retaining walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, and eco-friendly custom work along with standard plantings and drainage fixes. The business lists itself as a landscape designer and handles both new builds and ongoing care for yards.

Customers bring them in for backyard renovations where Oscar meets to hear ideas, draws up plans, and installs French drains that stop water from pooling after rain. Crews add flower beds with low-voltage lighting, set native grasses and plants suited to local soil, build rock gardens on slopes to cut erosion, and clean up overgrown beds so they look neat again. One project turned a clay-filled yard with standing water into a garden of herbs, vegetables, and grasses while another replaced shaded grass with stone and plants that hold up better.

Oscar keeps crews on site through each job and sends photos or measurements before work starts. Reviewers note he fits jobs into the schedule, answers calls promptly, and charges fair prices that match the results. The team works fast on cleanups and full overhauls without leaving loose ends.

Reviews give the company full marks every time and keep coming back to Oscar’s hands-on role, the way crews match plants to the yard, and the lasting look of the finished stone and beds. People mention the same attention to drainage, plant choice, and follow-up maintenance across jobs that range from single-day cleanups to multi-week backyard changes.

“When we got here in 2021, our backyard except for a pool, was a wasteland of clay soil, pathetic bermuda grass and one vitex tree. The backyard was where all the excess water of the whole neighborhood would collect, so every time it rained we would have 1-2 inches of standing water for a week. Our goal was to get the drainage issue under control and to put a garden of mostly native grasses and native plants. Planted Stone Landscape was totally on board with the concept. Oscar had his crew put French drains throughout the backyard and the standing water disappeared. Then, they rototilled the ground with compost and we planted black berries ,herbs and vegetables, native Texas grasses and plants, put in gravel pathways and a frog pond. The backyard doesn't bear any resemblance to the original, thanks to the expert help of Oscar and his crew. If there was any glitch, Oscar was texting back immediately and setting a time to fix it. He was always timely and helpful with suggestions. He is always able to keep the sprinkler system repaired and functioning well with both the lawn and the pocket prairie. He has been invaluable to us. We can’t recommend The Planted Stone Landscape & Hardsca”

“Oscar and his crew transformed our very average backyard into a place we love to sit, relax and entertain. He was on site for the entire job and made sure everything turned out as expected! 5 stars all around. We liked Oscar’s work so much we asked him to design our front yard. Just as happy if not happier than the work he did for us a few months ago!”

“I have used The Planted Stone landscape service since 2021 and can't say enough about Oscar and his professional team. From the start, they demonstrated true expertise in both design and execution. They perfectly balanced plants, textures and material to create a cohesive look that completely elevated my backyard. The long term partnership means so much to me as Oscar and the team don't just finish the job and leave, they have been fantastic about discussing continued maintenance to ensure the beds thrive for many years to come. I can contact them at any time and they are speedy to respond and provide the service. THANK YOU Planted Stone!”

“We were having terrible problems with keeping grass in our back yard. Not only was it shaded from a large tree but it was also sloped downward toward the house and we were having a terrible erosion problem. Oscar came to our home, took pictures and measurements of our yard and actually sent pictures to us on what we could do. We were very impressed by this. He worked us into his schedule and made sure during the whole process that we were pleased with the design he was creating! Oscar and his crew created an absolutely beautiful rock garden area under the tree and across the backyard. It was the perfect solution to our issues. We highly recommend The Planted Stone Landscape and Hardscape for any stone or landscape projects. Oscar does excellent work and is so pleasant to work with!”
