Minute Key

Minute Key takes on locksmith jobs around Baytown, Texas. The company handles key duplication for padlocks and door locks through their equipment. Customers turn to them after other spots fail to produce working copies. The work centers on using a machine to cut keys from blanks that match the original lock type.

One customer brought in a master padlock after a hardware store could not duplicate the key and Lowe's lacked the right blank. The machine there turned out copies that worked without extra steps. Another customer had a door key made but found it would only turn in one direction and left the lock unusable. These cases show the range of outcomes with basic duplication requests for household and security locks.

The setup relies on the machine for quick cuts when the right blank is available. Results depend on whether the copy matches the lock fully in both directions. Local customers have used the service for padlock and entry door needs when standard stores came up short on blanks or capability.

Google lists a 3.3 rating from 3 reviews with mixed notes on whether the keys functioned as expected. Recurring points cover successful cuts for padlocks alongside cases where door copies fell short on full operation. DIRT Score 1.1 from N reviews on Finds.
