“I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. I called this company after locking myself out and was given an estimated arrival window — they showed up 90 minutes late. When the technician looked at my lock, he made no attempt to pick it before declaring it needed to be drilled. Fifteen minutes later, my original lock was destroyed and replaced with a cheap, standard one. Then came the bill: $1,000. When I pushed back and asked the owner to justify the price (pointing out that the job took 15 minutes and the technician never even attempted a non-destructive entry) he dropped it to $629. The fact that the price fell that easily tells you everything about the original quote. I paid over $600 to get into my own home, and walked away with a worse lock than I started with. A brand-new back door would have cost me less. Please do your research before calling anyone in a lockout emergency. This company definitely exploited the situation.”

“I would like to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from this locksmith company. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend their services. I initially contacted the company to obtain an additional key for a recently purchased used truck. At the time, I agreed to a $139 deposit. However, issues began shortly afterward. Each time I attempted to schedule an appointment, I was transferred to the locksmith, who consistently failed to answer calls or return voicemails. Despite repeated assurances from customer service that I would receive a callback, I never did. After nearly two weeks—and only after I proactively followed up—the locksmith finally arrived. However, the visit was unsuccessful. Within approximately 30 minutes, I was informed that a more advanced system was required to complete the key duplication. This was concerning, as such requirements should have been identified prior to the appointment. Another week passed without any communication. Once again, I had to initiate contact myself, only to be transferred repeatedly to an unresponsive locksmith. At this point, I requested a refund, but my request was ”

“This place treated me poorly. The technician, Ricky, told me I needed a Nissan brand key fob to replace the original key. So, I paid the $123 deposit. However, because he was allegedly not available for my appointment, they sent another technician, Brandon. But, instead of the Nissan brand key fob, he bought another after-market key. Needless to say it didn't work. However, when I requested a refund for the deposit, I received an email from a rep in Connecticut "thanking me for my appreciation in understanding that they couldn't refund my deposit." I would avoid this company . This is a picture of the used key fob I received. Update 10/01/2024-- In response to the owner's recommendation to contact their corporate support department.... That's who told me the response I posted!”

“Huge shout out to Ricky and the entire staff at Sure Lock and Key in Cypress, TX. Great service and communication. My used vehicle only came with one key fob, and I needed a second device. I called around to get an estimate for an additional key and programming. Sure Lock and Key quoted me over the phone and came in 40% less expensive that the next guy. Ricky came out at the pre-arranged time and knew exactly how to handle the issue. The bill came out a little less than the estimate, which was a nice touch! Thank you!”

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. These guys take advantage of people that are stuck and price gouges you after the job is completed. Locked out of my house and was charged $425 for the tech to complete a 10 min job by drilling 1 lock.. He spent 1.5 hours trying to get into the garage and finally gave up because he was unsuccessful. Moved to the back door, got us in in less then 10 min and then charged $425. Thanks for the help... it would have been cheaper for me to break a window and replace..”
