What Customers Say
“Requested them to pick a lock, was refused because I hung up abruptly as I was trying to gather my belongings while coordinating with the owner of the lock to make sure the time frame was okay with them, since they close around the same time as them. Wasted twenty minutes driving to them, will not make that mistake again. Front desk guy was nice though. His senior needs to grow up.”
“My first time using Allen’s Safe and Locksmith of Lewisville. I had a safe that needed to be mounted securely, and I called around and received some disrespectful quotes. Allen’s Safe, and the gentleman I spoke with; KC, quoted a fair price. Also, an added benefit was they had immediate availability, where others we're posting three to 10 days out before they could assist with disrespectful prices. When KC arrived, communication was very good. He had this safe secure in a small amount of time because he knew what he was doing. I would pass on this safe company to anyone who is looking for a respectful and reliable job done well. Thank you, KC.”
“I got a spare key made for my mazda, it was the best price I could find.”
“These guys are great! Had a key broken off in my trucks ignition and they were able to get it out! They truly are a business from the past with great customer service and skills!”
“Quick, efficient, affordable, and helpful! A rare combination. I had been to 2 different places looking for a place who would be able to duplicate a key to my car. They had me in and out of there in 5 minutes with no issues. I'll definitely be sending business their way if I get the chance.”
“Location is in old town Lewisville, I had two gentlemen help handle making duplicate copies of my key since I broke it recently. Service was fast! I was in and out in less than 10mins. They made 2 copies for me and was charged $15 for both. This small business is great to have in the community for their trade and expertise. So I tested them and asked them a few questions on how to fix my corroded gas lock and they answered professionally. They tried to fix the key I broke inside the gas lock cause I had it with me but it was to far inside for them to remove. They recommended me to use a penetrating solution to help get the key out so that's next in my to do list for the weekend. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone having issues with their key or anything related”
“I needed a specialty key, for a Moped. The staff worked with me and continued to look and work on getting me a spare key cut. They took the time and made the effort to make sure the key would work and I was satisfied. I was so satisfied, I got them to cut me another, so I'd have two spare keys. I will never go anywhere else. The service and friendly staff have earned a lifetime customer and supporter. Don't waste time going anywhere else. Go to Old Town Locksmith FIRST! You won't be disappointed!”
“Really glad to find out that there are still brick and mortar places for locksmiths! I had purchased blank keys to replace my old car keys with portable transponders. Lowe's, Home depot and other places would not cut keys on their machines since I didn't purchase blank keys from them. Tried searching for locksmiths and all local locksmith that Google showed, had just dummy addresses on Google map (no real offices on those addresses), calling the number listed there ends up at some call center and quotes that I got were over $100 bucks. Finally I was able to find Allen's old town locksmith in Lewisville and they copied the keys using key blanks that I provided. Quick and friendly service, and very reasonable costs!”
“I had some blanks for my electronic truck key cut here. Then i went back to get a hide a key. He offered to cut me an inexpensive key that would work for the door so i didn't have to leave/ risk losing the expensive key. Good business i will use them in the future. Plus some cool "key accessories"!”
“Great locksmith. I've had many, many keys made for my job amd every one of them have worked! Very pleasant staff!”
“This place was a blessing. Mike really made my day. I inherited my Dad's Mazda truck B2300. I didn't have a key to the spare tire lock. My Dad before his passing couldn't get one either, but guess who could make me one, This spot. Not even the dealership could help me! They wanted to try something very costly, but God showed me a different plan. Yes! I feel so greatful for this place! Have a bless day!”
“-- Bottom line: Great locksmith with reasonable price -- I took my car key here to get cut, a task that a mobile locksmith had quoted me over $100. This place cut the key for a small fraction of that (I think it was between $5 and $10). Keep in mind that did not include programming, but still. They did exactly what I asked for and did a great job without charging an extravagant amount or trying to do more than I wanted them to.”
“Bought a used truck which had some lockable accessories in the bed. Didn't get the key for the accessories when I purchased. Went to Old Town Locksmith to see if they could help. They were able to look up the necessary keys and have me on my way in fifteen minutes (maybe less). When you need a locksmith, you want a shop like this. Support local businesses like this one.”
“I had a small gun box which had a complete electronics failure locking my service weapon inside. I of course, had lost the backup key. I gave the guys at Allen's Old Town and call and they said bring it in asap and they will help me out. They worked on it for a couple hours and without damaging my weapon were able to get in. Great guys who took great care of me! Afterwards they even gave me a bushel of fresh bananas. NOW THATS SERVICE. Ill be back in for a new safe guys. Thanks again.”
“I just called these guys (spoke to the Owner) to cut and program one Honda Element Factory Key. The guy who answered the phone (Owner) said it would be best to use there blank and it would save me money. At this point I just put my Boots on for what was about to come..... Next I asked the guy (Owner) on the other end of the phone why did I need to use his generic blank if I have in my possession a Factory Honda key Blank? He said it a "computer thing" he stated he has two different computers and if he has to use the other one the price is $200.00 and if I use his it would be $150.00. Well I have news for you Mr. Liar.... I know what is involved in coding the key. I called A-1 Locksmith and spoke to T____S $50.00 and he was happy to program a factory key. Allen's old Town locksmiths has no integrity and will take what they can from you if you don't do your research. Choose who you like for your locksmith work, but this store will certainly get in your pockets more than any other shop within 100 miles.... Allen's Old Town Locksmith is a Terrible place to do business. It really shouldn't be this way. I live here in Lewisville and trust that they will give me a fair and competitive pr”
“We called them out to help us with a keypad for our office. We needed our keypad to work with our office key and they did a phenomenal job. They were also so helpful before even coming out answering my questions. Would definitely recommend”
“Quoted me one price over the phone and then charged my husband a different price. When I called and questioned them, they said they would not honor that price, even though he was in the parking lot, as they had already made the sale. Was trying to support a business that had been established in town for a long time, but do not intend to support CROOKED business owners. Look elsewhere.”
“Allen was prompt, fairly priced, and professional. He changed the locks on a commercial building we recently leased. Although a couple of the doors have locks that are pretty worn, he did not try to sell me new locks, just made me aware of their condition but they still work. Honest as well as educational. Allen is my choice for locksmith services.”
“Matt in this place did not know how to schedule a phone appointment. I told him I had time between 12 to 1:30 or 2:30 after the next day whichever works. Matt picked 12. Next day no one shows up at 12 so I called back. He said he did not agree with 12 but just said sometime in the afternoon when the lock fixing guy finished the job. I was not happy that he did not understand what my schedule was and gave me attitude they did not care about business, they only get to it whenever they can and they could not estimate the lock fixing guys job whatsoever. I ended up find some other service provider. This place did not know how to serve customers. Period”
“I called 4 different locksmiths, and Allen was the only one to answer the phone. I locked a room in my house and misplaced the key. Allen showed up within the hour and unlocked door within minutes. I was so grateful. Allen was responsive, fast, and super nice! I will keep his name and number in my contacts list.”
