“My office has used Securitex for years. Today's service call was a great reminder why. We were having an access issue with the commercial push-bar and keypad... turns out it was user error and misuse. The technician, Sam, who came out was polite and patient with all my questions. He did some minor adjustments has our entry system working better than it has in the last three years... all for a very reasonable $150 service fee. Much better than a $1,500 system replacement that others were trying to sell. Honest, efficient and quick... this is why we will continue to use Securitex.”

“I had a lock replaced on a public restroom at an office building where over 300 employees work and they placed the incorrect lock on the door! I called to see if they could repair and I was told they would reach back out to me I was out of work so hadn’t had a chance to follow up with them after they never reached back out to fix . Upon reaching out I was told I would be charged for an entire new lock and labor. He also stated it was no record of them speaking with me. I also asked if you was replacing a lock for a medical building would you place a privacy lock on the door he said probably not so why would you place a privacy lock on a office building restroom area ? This issue was brought to their attention a day after installing they never followed up and now want us to pay for another service no accountability on their part just asking us to pay them to come out and correct their mistake I would not recommend a company that won’t take accountability for their error.”

“Steven from Securitex helped us with an exterior door that was thicker than the (store bought) door levers & deadbolt would account for. Two day schedule to arrival (which was reasonable) and with some modifications and longer mounting bolts (not big box store available), Steven installed the lever and deadbolt perfectly. Nice tight fit and with a very reasonable install price. Very courteous, professional and reasonable service👍”

“Avoid this guy whenever you can. He stated that he quoted me $690 for duplicating a key over the phone but I heard it was $69. So I okayed it thinking it was $69 and then he came. I would never imagine that copying a key would cost $690. I double checked the price right before his service. It turned out I misunderstood. So I apologized to him that I had to cancel the service. Then he was demanding $50 for his trip which was never mentioned before. I should have get quoted in text rather than in conversation We were going back and forth over $50, he demanded but we didn’t come to an agreement. He then walked over to the other side of his van where I couldn't see him for a while. A couple of minutes passed, he was still out of my sight. I walked over to him to see what he was doing. Little did I know, this guy would vandalize my car for not paying $50. He was squeezing in super glue into my van’s keyhole. I tried to stop him but he had already done the damage and left the scene saying “This is what you deserve!” Reading his reviews, he is infamous for overcharging the service plus he has an attitude.”

“I drive an older vehicle that requires 2 different keys: one for the ignition and one for the doors. I came in and asked for 2 copies of each of my keys. The young guy who helped me was super nice and very quickly cut my keys as we were having a conversation, but he made all 4 of them out of the same blank, so they all looked identical, not to mention they were a good inch longer than my original key, and almost wouldn't even fit in my pocket! I hadn't realized he had already done all of the keys, and I asked if he could make 2 of them with a different blank so I could tell the difference between the two, and the kid's manager yelled from the back that I should have specified that I wanted two different blanks before he cut the keys. I tried to talk to the guy and come to a compromise, offering to pay for all the keys if they could help me modify the ones I had to make it right. He kept arguing and just being rude. I eventually just offered to buy just the two ignition keys, and not the door keys, because I wasn't interested in buying 4 identical looking keys, and he REFUSED to allow me to buy only two of the keys which he had already cut, saying I could buy all four or NONE AT A”

“I needed 2 key fobs laser cut and programmed. I purchased the key fobs online, but was having difficulty finding a locksmith that would cut keys that weren't purchased there. “Use this locksmith at your own peril. John was hired to install a door latch for the business I manage. After only 6 months the latch began to malfunction trapping patrons inside. It took multiple attempts over a week to get in touch with someone. When I did finally have the chance to speak with him, he told me it would be "a while" before someone could make it to our location to fix this problem. When I told him we don't have "a while" and this is an urgent issue, he hung up on me. I didn't hear from him again until the next day. He called before business hours and did not leave a voicemail. When I finally reached him later that day he informed me that he would've sent someone that morning, but no one answered the phone. Shifting blame to the customer is not the best approach to customer service. He then informed me that the guarantee was only 90 days. Then he quoted a ridiculous price and I declined. I located another locksmith to come check my issue. When he took the latch apart he found the problems. Poor workmanship, not the latch. John of Securitex did NOT properly install the latch. It requires 2 screws to fasten secure to the door on the inside. One screw was ok, but the se”
