Vemex Locksmith

Vemex Locksmith operates as a mobile locksmith service based in Porter, Texas, with Alex and Genesis running the shop along with their team. They cut keys, program fobs, and handle replacements for cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The business covers the northeast Houston area from their location on FM1314 and accepts walk-ins for quick work on vehicle locks and remotes.

Customers often show up with problems like a new Mercedes key that other shops refused or a Honda motorcycle where the seller sent the wrong key. Alex has created working keys for BMWs and full sets for bikes when originals were unavailable. Jenn has handled a Toyota Tundra fob by programming it and installing a battery, while Genesis has sorted out spare keys for Jeeps and other cars in short order. One job involved matching vintage blanks for a 1968 Cadillac and testing them on the spot to confirm a smooth fit.

The crew keeps the shop clean and organized, explains pricing before starting, and finishes most jobs in minutes rather than hours. Reviewers note fair costs that beat dealership rates and friendly service even during busy times like the freeze. They stock many fob types and blanks in house, which lets them complete work without delays, and they reprogram remotes for service trucks or handle lock sets on beds without extra trips.

Reviewers keep coming back for the honest approach and solid results on key jobs across many vehicle types. The same points show up often around quick turnaround, upfront details on cost, and owners who know their equipment inside out. DIRT Score 4.3 from 156 reviews on Finds.

“Thank you to Genesis and her team here at Vemex. They truly went out of their way to ensure I would be able to have a brand new Mercedes-Benz key created with push to start availability. Multiple locations and locksmiths turned me down, saying they could not do it but Vemex got the job done. I would definitely recommend this business.”

“They are super friendly, do the job right and at a reasonable price! I bought a motorcycle online, to which they sent me the wrong key and couldn't provide the original one. Alex was able to make one key that works on everything in the bike. Super recommended! I will certainly use them again!”

“Just had a couple blanks cut as spares for my vehicles. They were fast and friendly! A great family run business! Their son cut one of my keys and it worked perfectly as well! Definitely recommend for and key/locksmith needs. I brought my own blanks I had purchased online, but they already have blanks seemingly for anything in-house! They also have dozens of different types of new key FOB's in house. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again any time a need arises. Hopefully they're around for years to come!”

“Fast and friendly service, explains everything upfront so there is no misunderstanding. Great pricing. I have a service truck and they programmed a new key Fob for me and new keys for my service bed locks. Will have my business from now on. They have a nice clean organized shop and take pride in their work.”

“These folks are the best around, I’ve taken 2 of my vehicles to them to have new keys cut and remotes programmed. Even when there was some issues with my truck (no fault to the company) I failed to mention that I had done some ECM programs and it caused issues for them, they went above and beyond to make sure that everything was done right and fixed, fast forward to today, I took my Jeep wrangler in to have a 2nd key cut and programmed and they had me in and out in minutes. They are very knowledgeable and honestly more knowledgeable than the dealership. They have very fair pricing as well.”
