About

KeyMe Locksmiths handles locksmith work in Richmond, Texas. They set up self-service kiosks that copy house keys, office keys, car keys, and specialty items like mailbox or padlock keys right on the spot. The service also covers vehicle keys for many models along with fobs and access cards, and it connects customers to lockout help when needed. People find the kiosks at retail spots and use them for quick duplicates without calling ahead.

Customers describe jobs that center on making replacement keys at the machines. rdhoutx followed the steps to insert an original key and card, then got a new one that worked after a minute or so. AK said the process ran quick and their daughter liked the design on the finished key. Elle noted the kiosk screen was straightforward to use and the result came fast even if some designs cost more. Lorie reported the instructions led to keys that fit and turned without any problems on the first try. J pointed out that not every key type showed up as an option and that paying extra for smoothing left metal bits on fingers. Iyke and zully both got keys that opened doors and started cars without issues.

The kiosks run on clear on-screen steps that tell users what to do next with their key and payment. Reviews mention the whole thing often finishes in minutes at any hour, though one case dragged on longer than expected. Communication stays limited to the machine prompts and an emailed receipt later. Pricing shows up higher for certain styles or fobs, but the setup reaches many stores and links to full locksmith support for cars or lockouts. Service stays tied to the listed retail locations in the area.

Feedback gives the business a Google rating of 4.7 from 23 reviews. People keep coming back to how the keys turn out usable and the kiosk steps stay simple to follow, with a few notes on extra time or added costs for finishing work. DIRT Score 3.9 from reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“Bottom line is this: the key works. However, I was skeptical because this was my first time using your machine. I didn't think there was enough info given to know what to expect or how the process works. But, following the instructions, I inserted my key and credit card, removed them both, and received a new key a minute later. There was no printed receipt, so I received one by email the next day. That's definitely a new process, but I'll be less anxious next time, as long as the key works.”

rdhoutx

“Quick and great me and my daughter love the design. Keep up the good work .❤️”

AK Lodi

“Not all my keys were available. When there was a technician cutting the keys, they would always smooth it for free. That's customer service. This machine charges $3 to smooth the keys. I got metal slivers in my fingers.”

“It was easy to navigate through kiosk and pretty entertaining as well. Prices are a bit high for key designs but overall very convenient and fast.”

“Quick and easy to follow kiosk instructions, all keys worked 1st time with no snags and smooth insertion....Good job”
