Ascension Painting

Ascension Painting is a painting company based in Amarillo, Texas and run by owner Philip White. The business handles exterior house painting along with interior work such as kitchen cabinets, walls, and ceilings. Philip also takes on repair tasks like fixing trim pieces during paint jobs and has done work at the Medical Center League House. Services include surface prep, protection of floors and furniture, and full cleanup at the end of each project.

Customers have hired the company for exterior painting on homes where Philip arrived on schedule and completed the work with close attention to every surface. One job involved restoring original 1963 kitchen cabinets that were in rough condition, with Philip selecting colors, discussing hardware, and finishing the cabinets so they looked new again. Other projects covered full home painting, ceiling and wall repairs at a hospitality house, and assembly plus painting and sealing of a swing set that included a custom flower box. Reviewers noted the results stayed clean and even with no paint drips left behind.

Philip responds to calls, shows up when promised, and keeps homeowners updated throughout the process. He works neatly around daily routines such as letting dogs out or managing guest reservations at the Medical Center League House. The crew protects surfaces during the job, maintains a tidy workspace, and finishes on time without leaving messes. All of this occurs in the Amarillo area with Philip handling the estimates and starting work shortly after agreement.

Nine customer reviews give the company five stars each. Recurring comments focus on punctuality, neatness, and the ability to handle both painting and small repairs while staying respectful of the property and schedule.

“Painting the exterior of your house is no easy task. That's why we hired Ascension Painting. Philip always showed up when he said he would. He was courteous, respectful, and efficient. His attention to detail is unparalleled. I would hire Ascension Painting again in a heartbeat and strongly recommend them for any Paint projects!”

“Philip from Acension Painting is very professional, friendly and an all around very nice person. Very knowledgeable and works very hard to get the job done! Thanks for a job very well done.”

“Phillip came in, and gave me an estimate to paint my kitchen cabinets, and then got started the next week. To say he did a phenomenal job is an understatement. And it’s the little things along the way that made a huge impact (like helping with choosing the paint color, discussions about hardware, fixing trim pieces, and accommodating my need to let my dogs out). I work from home so I got to see the whole process and Phillip is very thorough and very neat. I’ve already asked him to do another paint job for me. My 1963 cabinets were original to the house and in rough shape, but I didn’t want to rip out all wood cabinets. He made them look brand new.”

“I recently had my home painted, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Philip was punctual, professional, and paid close attention to every detail. They took the time to properly prep the surfaces, protect my floors and furniture, and clean up thoroughly afterward. The quality of the work is truly top-notch — smooth, even coats, crisp lines, and a flawless finish that completely transformed the space. They worked efficiently without cutting corners, and they were respectful and courteous throughout the entire process. It’s not easy finding contractors who deliver exactly what they promise, but Philip exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for high-quality, dependable painting services. My home looks beautiful!”

“Philip White, owner of Ascension Painting, is an excellent painter, easy to work with and very accommodating to your needs. He has a great eye for paint colors and matching existing wall paint. He works neatly, efficiently and never dropped a bit of paint anywhere. Besides working for me personally, he repaired and painted ceilings/walls at the Medical Center League House, a non-profit hospitality house that I operate in Amarillo. Again, he was very accommodating working around our reservations. He was mindful of our guests keeping areas safe and clean. I would highly recommend Philip and Ascension Painting!
