All Star Painting Athens

All Star Painting Athens handles painting work in the Athens area with Gus running the crew. They take on interior and exterior painting for homes and businesses along with deck staining, fence work, cabinet refinishing, brick exteriors, and spray applications. The company also handles related tasks such as drywall repair, trim and crown molding installation, baseboard work, power washing, stucco repair, wallpaper removal, and small remodeling jobs like bathroom and kitchen updates. Gus coordinates the jobs and brings in crew members including Ricky, Roger, Ronnie, and Ronny for the hands-on work.

Customers call them for full interior house painting that brightens rooms and leaves surfaces clean looking, exterior wood repairs on older homes, matching new paint to existing paneling from decades ago, fixing rotted windows while salvaging original parts, refinishing oak floors to help sell a property, and correcting roof issues left by other companies. Reviews mention thorough walkthroughs before and after jobs, quiet work inside occupied homes, daily cleanup so nothing is left behind, and suggestions for other trades when the crew cannot handle a task themselves. One job involved finishing touches on a restaurant renovation that got the business reopened on schedule, while another covered large and small fixes across rental properties over several years.

Gus responds quickly to calls and texts, sends quotes promptly, and keeps owners updated on schedules with crews arriving on time. Reviewers note fair pricing for the scope of work, clear communication throughout multi-week projects, and crews that stay neat even on big jobs like whole-house interiors. They cover the Athens area and nearby spots in northeast Georgia, often working on older houses and apartments to refresh them for sale or turnover. The team handles extra issues like bad electrical or rotten floors during remodels without pushing the budget far off track.

Reviewers keep coming back to the same points about careful attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and crews that treat property with care. The business earns steady five-star feedback for turning neglected spaces around and delivering results that hold up. DIRT Score 4.9 from 213 reviews on Finds.

“Gus and his crew were very meticulous, friendly, and efficient! They did a fantastic job on the renovations completed on my home - they made it look better than the day I bought it! I would highly recommend All Star Painting to anyone looking for a painting company in the Athens area! 10/10”

“Gus at All Star Painting and his whole crew were amazing!! We were so fortunate to find them to do our work… Over several months, they helped us with many different repairs and renovations on our home.. they kept us posted on the schedule -arrived on time and worked tirelessly to get the jobs completed- they were very meticulous and took very good care of our property - cleaning up each day -not leaving anything messy or laying around-even though they were coming back the next day… Inside they worked very quietly almost stealth-like couldn’t even tell they were there. They even gave us some suggestions for other contractors to do projects that we had to have done that they did not do themselves -which turned out really well! The whole crew was great to have around …very warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional! We will definitely hire them back with any other work we have to have done in the future!”

“Gus was great from the start! He was quick to respond and quick to get his team in to paint the interior of our house. They were thorough and did walkthroughs before and after the project to make sure everything was completed to our liking. Highly recommend using him and his team!!”

“All Star Painting of Athens was highly recommended to me by a friend and community business owner. Gus was quick to respond and send me a quote! He was very knowledgeable and professional! Everything was set up to have my entire interior home painted and some faucet and toilet replacements. The crew showed up right on time and went straight to work! Gus has a great crew with some very conscientious leaders! I had asked Gus to pick a color because I’m awful at doing that! The inside of my home is so much brighter and just clean looking! I really do love it! Gus made recommendations to me for the toilets and faucets and I am extremely impressed! The guys finished all the work within a few days. They didn’t hurry through it but were very impressive with their attention to detail and work ethic! I asked to add pressure washing for the exterior and they were able to get it completed in the same professional manner as the painting and plumbing! I did call Gus to have a couple spots checked where the 2nd coat of paint may not have been applied and they came straight away this morning to fix anything I asked for without any problems or questions! That was the icing on the cake for me! A co”

“We hired All Star to put the finishing touches on our restaurant renovation back in 2021. Gus, Ricky, Roger, and Ronnie made it all come together for us. Gus spent a great deal of time to perfectly match the color of our new walls to the existing 25 year old wood paneling. You could not tell the difference! Ricky did a great job doing all the finished wood work. They were reasonably priced and got us back open for business on schedule. Highly recommended!”

“Gus and his team were very friendly, efficient, and did a great job on the renovations we hired them to complete on our home. I would 100% recommend All Star Painting!”

“Ggus and his crew did an amazing job fixing our rotted window. It was an older home so they had to salvage. The rotted window. They did an amazing job width repairing the window and the slide off the house. I highly recommend them !!”

“Have a house for sale. Had 12 showings and no interest. Reviews from visitors came back and the condition of the downstairs oak floors was at the top of the list. Called Gus, he said,"No problem! I gotta guy. Can get him in on Tuesday. The floors were done by Wednesday evening and cured for two days. That Saturday we had two showings and went under contract! The main comments were how beautiful the floors were! Confident, resourceful, fair pricing on work, skilled craftsmen executing hired tasks. Gus has built his business on trust, care for the customer, and resourceful skill in the work his craftsmen perform. Five Stars! Best contractor in Northeast Georgia!”

“The All-Star painting team does more than just painting! They replaced my old vanity in my master bathroom, I am so very pleased with my new bathroom! They also did a great job painting other rooms in the house. Thank you to Gus and his team! Excellent work. Looking forward to having them do other jobs around my house that need to get done. I would definitely recommend!!! Five star service and the crew was very nice and did a great job!”

“Gus and his team are a top-shelf crew! I did extensive research for the best/most affordable painters in the Athens, GA area. And a lot of his competitors fell short in affordability and quality of work. All Star Painting did a stellar job on my house in Five Points, painting three bedrooms, a big living room, my kitchen and dining room, bathroom, closets, hallways and my office space for an amazing price. They were super nice too - very communicative and always on time. AND they handle a lot of other tasks as well - I just found out I have a leaky roof and Gus was the first person I called. I trust this team 100%.”

“I cannot say enough about All Star Painting. They just completed exterior wood repair and painting of my home and gutters. They made it look easy when I know it was not and did a quality job at a reasonable price. It was a pleasure to work with Gus, as well as Roger, Ronny, and Ricky. They give the client 100% attention and address all concerns. Do not hesitate to use this company. My interior is next!”

“Gus and his team helped us with some roof issues that also required painting. We had our roof done by another company and were worried things weren't done correctly. A friend recommended Gus and his team. They got on the roof, took pictures and showed us exactly where the issues were. All Star provided us a quote and fixed everything the other company messed up or didn't do right when they replaced our roof. I highly recommend All Star!”

“Gus has done two great jobs at the AGR Fraternity House. The first was painting the exterior of the Main house where he went above and beyond to make it look fantastic at a great price. Showed up on time everyday and acted on every request! The second was painting the interior and making repairs on the Hartford House, a home built 1920. Great attention to detail to bring the long neglected home back to life. Again he went above and beyond to meet every request. The interior turned out Spectacular!! Gus also came to the rescue when we had to fire the contractor that was doing the structural repairs and exterior painting. The contractor refused to do the necessary scrapping, caulking and window glazing. Gus saved the day by immediately getting his crew on the job and do the necessary prep work. The difference in his work and the fired contractor was unbelievable. And he did it within the same cost of the terminated contractor. All that extra prep at equal cost!! People rave at the before and after difference. I have renovated houses for 40 years and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GUS!!!!! Jack Shaw”

“Can’t recommend Gus and his team enough. They have done large and small jobs for me and my properties over the years. He has incredible experience with so many multifaceted jobs. From new buildings, woodwork, roofing, remodeling, electrical- you name it. 10/10 will use Gus for any needs I have. He’s quick to respond and honest in his feedback. Thanks Gus!!!!”

“I recently has Gus's crew help me fix up a house to get ready for sell. The worked was mainly painting but also included various other projects over the course of a couple of weeks. The crew was absolutely great to work with and all seemed to be good guys. Regarding the work, they got to each room in the house in a very orderly manner and the results were impeccable. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. I would definitely work with this team again in the future.”

“Gus and his team did an incredible job!! They were working non-stop til the job was done. Painted the whole interior of the house we just purchased. They were very neat and tidy. This was a big job! And it looks like a brand new home !! I couldn’t be more happy. It looks amazing! Also, Gus was always quick to respond to any questions I had. This is a very professional team!”

“What a happy experience!! Many thanks to Gus and the All Star crew for the renovations they did for us. It was a complete pleasure working with such experienced professionals and we were thrilled with the outcome. We highly recommend them!”

“Gus and his team are great to work with! I don't know what we would do without them during our turnover process at University Holdings. They are very good when it comes to older houses and apartments in Athens and doing exactly what is needed to make the properties look like new!”

“Highly recommend Gus and his team. We did a complete remodel of my childhood home after buying it. Along the way, we came across the normal extra issues, like rotten floors and bad electrical, but Gus and team worked with us and kept us pretty close to budget. We tried to get quotes from 4 different companies, and Gus is the only one that was able to get back to us in a reasonable time. He worked with me on my vision and helped us create a luxurious master bath and a chic kitchen - no longer the outdated 90’s of my childhood. Gus is always quick to respond to calls and texts and always willing to listen and work out any differences. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. And ask for Ricky 😁”

“Gus is the best in town. Period. His pricing is more than fair and all my clients have loved the end result of his work.”
