Five Star Painting of Huntsville

Five Star Painting of Huntsville takes on painting jobs around Athens. Carlos serves as project manager on many of these projects while crews led by names like Amado handle the day to day work. They cover both inside and outside surfaces including brick walls, vinyl siding, popcorn ceilings, kitchen cabinets, crown molding, trim, garage floors with epoxy coatings, and even wallpaper on ceilings. Reviewers note that the company also power washes homes and decks ahead of paint work and handles repairs like drywall patching before finishing.

Homeowners describe jobs that include full exterior makeovers on brick homes that change how the whole place looks, detailed interior work on high ceilings and rounded corners in great rooms, and cabinet refinishing in kitchens and laundry rooms. Some mention epoxy on garage floors that came out clean and durable while others point to accent walls, fireplaces, and staircases that got fresh color and stain. Crews such as those with George, Freddie, and Frankie or teams including Oscar and Joshua left spaces tidy and finished rooms that reviewers said looked brand new after the paint went on.

The company moves fast on quotes and starts work soon after agreements. Project managers check progress at several points and keep customers informed without needing constant oversight. Reviewers note fair pricing along with occasional discounts for military or neighbors, solid communication, and crews that start early, stay respectful of property, and allow proper drying time. Work stays local with attention to taping off areas and using specific primers on masonry before top coats.

Feedback stays consistent on the quality of the finished paint, the cleanliness of the sites, and the professionalism of the crews across many jobs. The company earns strong marks for handling both simple and complex spaces without issues. DIRT Score 4.8 from reviews on Finds.

“Could not recommend Five Star Painting enough! Amado and his crew did a fantastic job, super friendly and professional and made sure everything was perfect! I absolutely love the job they completed. They painted our exterior brick and it totally transformed our house! Will absolutely use them for any paint job in the future!”

“Great work. They painted our popcorn ceilings and the ceiling looks beautiful. Rates are very reasonable.”

“Dinning room with post entrance, Great room w/ 20' ceiling, extensive crown molding and trim work, rounded corners, kitchen with multiple cabinet and tile cut ins. Not an easy job, but they did great work on all. Left it clean and crisp. Carlos and the team were professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to patch, tape, sand, paint making a 20 y/o space look like new. Highly recommend 5 star for any job.”

“Great company to work with. Fast quote and performed the work quickly. The final product is beautiful! I got three quotes and they were the best price. Very happy. 😊”

“Very responsive and friendly. They did a great job and the new paint job on the house looks awesome. Painted bare brick, vinyl siding, gutters, downspouts and eaves. Looks like a new house. Carlos is great to work with and the painters as well.”

“We had Five Star Painting paint the interior and exterior of our home. The painters were very professional, friendly and highly efficient. They did so well on the exterior that people were stopping to tell us how nice the paint looks. We're scheduled to have our fence and deck stained next week and I cannot wait to see the results! Project Manager, Carlos kept us updated on all work throughout the job and checked the work frequently. Along with their exceptional prices, they gave us a military discount and a neighborly customer discount. Highly recommend and will continue to use their services for all future painting projects.”

“I wanted my garage floors epoxy coated and Five Star Painting most definitely lived up to their name. From the owner to the workers, first class service (Amado, Oscar, Carlos, Gerardo, Simon, and Diana; great team!) Their five step business process is second to none (accept the job, estimate, follow-up, work performed/completion, and inspection of work performed). I highly recommend Five Star Painting for anyone's painting needs.”

“I recently hired Five Star Painting to redo my boringly sterile/white-on-white office space, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did they paint the walls flawlessly, but they also installed wallpaper on the ceiling. That’s a tricky job that they handled with total precision and care. From start to finish, the team was attentive, professional, and extremely detail-oriented. Their communication throughout the project was excellent, and I especially appreciated how they sent project managers to inspect the work at multiple stages to ensure everything met their high standards (and mine). The final result exceeded my expectations. The office looks fresh, stylish, and exactly how I envisioned it. It's clear that this team takes real pride in their work, and it shows in every detail. I highly recommend Five Star Painting to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and a smooth, professional experience.”

“Incredible customer service by Carlos the the project manager and Joshua who was the leader on site. Carlos arrived in his company branded car which was sparkling clean inside and out. This was the first indication that Five Star Painting is an exceptional company. Joshua arrived on the job Groomed impressively and gave us immediate confidence that we made the right choice in painting company. The team included Jesus, Kiro and Alex who not only painted the home but also power washed the home entirely before painting and power washed the deck, brick patio and driveway. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Five Stars. Thank you.”

“Excellent work by Five Star. Amado and Carlos were great to work with for the estimate and overseeing the work, but I was really impressed with George, Freddie, and Frankie. They were polite, punctual, trustworthy and very respectful of my property. Their work was outstanding, and their attention to detail was impressive.”

“Professional and courteous team. Project manager Carlos ensured all my requests were met. I was in and out of the house throughout the day and the team did not require my supervision. Very pleased with the outcome and their attention to detail. Pricing was fair. I will definitely hire them again.”

“Five-star painting went above and beyond to transform our accent wall, fireplace, re-patching the drywall, and staining/painting our staircase, making them look absolutely amazing. They maintained a high level of cleanliness, transparency throughout the process, and ensured adequate drying time for the stain and paint. Without compromising quality, they showcased the before-and-after results, demonstrating their attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional work. We strongly recommend Carlos, George, and Hector as they form an outstanding team. We would certainly consider hiring them for future projects in our home.”

“December of 2021, I called this company for an estimate. We had a major roof leak, so painting was needed. At this time Oscar & another manager came out to do the estimate. We did a walkthrough with them, & Oscar was taking notes. We were clear that we wanted all painted except bedrooms, including walls, ceiling, trim, doors, & kitchen/laundry room cabinets. We decided to delay until after the holidays. Oscar called Feb 22 & said they could start on a Wednesday Feb. 23, giving me one day to take everything off the walls, & empty out the entire kitchen. That day, Indy, the project manager came & did a walkthrough again. It was then we realized Oscar had left the doors off the quote. The next day, Gloria, another PM came. She informed me they wouldn’t paint my dining room, which was part of our open floor plan, because it wasn’t in the quote (she didn’t have the contract in front of her to reference.). We had words but later worked out the issues, Oscar assured us it would be painted, & Gloria called to make amends. The painters were wonderful including Felix, Diana & others. We had many painters here, until the rain stopped. All painters except 2 were pulled for outside ”

“I am very impressed with this company. Found them on the BBB site. At the estimate meeting I was given copies of their license, liability insurance and BBB accreditation. They removed a popcorn ceiling, made repairs and applied 3 coats of paint. They did a beautiful job! And they cleaned up the area nicely. I highly recommend.”

“Five Star did an excellent job painting my garage. Their team was clean, efficient and professional. Highly recommend them for next paint job.”

“We had Five Star Painting paint our kitchen and laundry room cabinets. They did an amazing job! They are very reasonably priced and even gave us a military discount! Highly recommend this company!”

“Five Star Painting did a great job painting the outside of our house (brick, siding, trim). I'm not sure how many different crews they have, but the group that did our house were courteous, started early each day and completed the work in a few days. The Loxon masonry primer from Sherwin Williams they used to prime the brick (sprayed, then rolled) really covered well. The Duration paint from Sherwin Williams didn't cover quite as well on the siding but still looks good. It looks great on the brick. If I had to do it again, I might try the better (more expensive) Emerald line of exterior paint. I was impressed with their attention to detail in taping off parts of the house as they were painting, taking down and putting the downspouts back up, cleaning up each day, and the final results. The crew size ranged from a couple people for the initial pressure washing to seven or eight when painting the final color and trim. They were on the higher side, pricewise, but still reasonable and the extra accountability with the salesperson (Amado), project manager (Carlos), and the BBB rating, as well as the larger crew to get the job done in a few days were well worth it.”

“Five Star is correctly named. These guys are fast, efficient, talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. Their prices are right on target. I give Carlos and his team of professionals a SIX STAR ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ rating.”

“They did an excellent job with the work in our home. We had walls, door, ceilings, and trim painted throughout our house. Sophia, Carlos, and the crew painting our house were friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with.”
