CGC Cerakote

CGC Cerakote runs a painting operation out of Comfort, Texas that centers on ceramic coatings for firearms and outdoor gear. The crew applies Cerakote finishes that stand up to heavy use and the local climate of hot days, dust, and occasional damp spells common in the Hill Country. They take on both basic solid color jobs and detailed custom work, always stressing clean prep and even coverage so the coating lasts. Homeowners and shooters in the area bring them rifles, pistols, and accessories that need protection from corrosion and wear without adding bulk or changing function.

In practice the shop handles solid color applications, custom stencils, laser ablation for surface prep, and full gunsmithing on bolt guns, handguns, and AR-15 platforms along with NFA engraving and laser imaging. Around Comfort the weather pushes metal parts to rust or fade fast, so these painters focus on building layers that resist scratches and chemicals while keeping tight tolerances on moving parts. Jobs often start with disassembly, thorough cleaning, precise masking, and multiple thin coats followed by curing to lock in the finish before reassembly and function checks.

Customers keep coming back because the work shows solid quality that holds up in the field, prices stay straightforward without hidden add-ons, and the crew keeps communication clear on turnaround times and what each step involves. Speed matters when someone needs a carry piece or hunting rifle ready again quickly, and the consistent results on both simple and complex projects build that reputation.
