E & A Home Improvement, LLC

E & A Home Improvement, LLC handles painting and related home projects out of Metairie. Alberto Cortez runs the company and his crews take on interior and exterior painting along with drywall repairs, flooring installs, tile work, concrete fixes, stucco patches, door replacements, and window swaps. Reviewers mention jobs that cover whole-house interiors, bathroom remodels with custom showers, garage floors, roof replacements, and wood repairs around older homes. The team also handles smaller tasks like popcorn ceiling removal, wallpaper stripping, and backsplash installs.

Customers describe full bathroom overhauls that moved fixtures and added benches, front steps rebuilt on a 1910 bungalow with help from separate foundation crews, and kitchen floors where crews cut subfloors then laid tile. Alberto and workers such as Vincent, Allan, German, and Eduardo get credit for solid results on painting, framing French doors, and restoring shutters plus soffits. Reviewers note the crews finished on schedule, stayed within budget, and handled last-minute changes without issues. Several mention the office manager Rizy keeping things on track and project manager Vanessa handling details.

The company shows up fast for quotes, often the next day, and starts work soon after. Communication happens through texts and photos when owners are away, with easy online payments and no large upfront deposits required in some cases. Crews arrive on time, work cleanly each day, and move furniture as needed. Pricing comes in competitive compared to other bids, and crews handle jobs across the New Orleans area as well as Metairie. Reviewers point out consistent punctuality and the ability to finish both small repairs and larger remodels without leaving messes.

“E&A Home Improvement did an outstanding job with our painting, drywall, flooring, tile, and electrical work. The team was professional, easy to work with, and the finished results turned out better than we hoped for—I would definitely recommend them for home improvement projects.”

“What a pleasure to find the team at E&A! They recently finished a whole house interior paint job- ceilings, walls, trim, doors. Installed new closet doors. Framed out and hung French doors to the office. I am beyond pleased with their work. Everything was done on time, on budget, with professionalism and exceptional quality. The workers were polite. Cleaned up every evening. Communication was easy, done mostly via text/pics since I was out of state. Payment was easy online and unlike other contractors, I didn’t pay half up front! I am already planning my other projects that I will have them come back for in the near future. Highly recommend! Editing to add: E&A just did replacement windows for the house. Once again superb service! Great team. Love the results! Highly recommend!”

“E & A completed several small and large home remodel repairs for us and we were beyond, “floored”. From a small bathroom remodel to a compilers garage floor and a lot of painting, Alberto and his team at E & A performed top notch! They were always on time when scheduled and never left us feeling like the job wasn’t complete! We definitely recommend E & A for their professional craftsmanship and clear lines of communications.”

“I can't say enough good things about working with Alberto and all of his teams. We had to rebuild the front concrete & tile steps for my 1910 raised bungalow home in New Orleans (subsidence had caused considerable damage), and he helped us arrange preparation work with a separate foundation company (Sanchez) and then brought in several teams of his workers, including concrete & stucco workers, iron workers, carpenters and finishers. Their work was phenomenal, and his office manager (Rizy) was always available to field my questions and to make sure that everything was proceeding on schedule. They were responsive to my wishes and last minute changes and amenable in all our exchanges. I have recommended them for another job at my SO's home and would hire them again in a second.”

“I have only the highest praise for E &A Home Improvement. Alberto and his crew were attentive and helpful every step of the process (which was a big one). I was looking for a company that could paint my house, fix my concrete/stucco stairs, and repair wood around the house. They were able to complete all these jobs and more. I can't begin to describe the meticulous attention to detail on the paint job. My neighbors were so impressed with the work too. It makes you feel good to know you're getting a first class job on your home project. If you need any work done on your home - don't hesitate to give them a call. I'm so happy I did.”

“These guys did a great job. Full renovation of bathroom remove tub relocation of toilet replacement of sheetrock and electrical install custom walk in shower with bench. They cleaned up each day as well as stayed late a couple of days in evening to finish what they started. They were very polite and mindful of property. I also had them do a full house floor replacement and interior doors plus add larger baseboards remove carpet paint ect they moved all furniture around house so my wife and i did not have to move ourselves. The owner was very responsive to our needs and issues and worked well with us on any issues that arose. Would highly recomend these guys to do ant repairs needed . See before and after picts.”

“Alberto and his crew were great. The quality of their work is excellent. The crew was very punctual and communication was great. Highly recommend.”

“Alberto and his team were outstanding, true craftsmen who made my dream a reality. They work fast with great attention to detail. Highly recommend!”

“Very very happy with the work done, which included restoring shutters and hardware, soffit and stucco on front of house repaired and painted. Very consistently showed up with the right resources every day and got the job done as quickly as possible.”

“Our renovation included removing popcorn finish on ceiling, new flooring, and painting. The entire crew was very courteous, respectful, and hard working. The price was very reasonable and fair. Job completed when promised. We are very happy with the results. Would definitely recommend E & A Home Improvement for any work you may need. Alberto and his crew are A-1.”

“This company put new tile floors in my kitchen. They had to cut out the hardwood and subfloor from around the existing cabinets and then lay hardie back and the tile. I think they did a really great job and I'm very happy with the results. Their office is easy to communicate with and they were very responsive to any issues I raised. Also, the price was very competitive. That being said I was tempted to only give 4 stars for the following reasons: it took 6+ days to replace the floor in one room as most of the time there was only 1 person there working, and they didn't do anything to close off the kitchen from the adjoining rooms and I wound up with sawdust all over the dining room. Also I had to clean up after them as they did no cleaning of construction Dust in the kitchen. I would probably use them again.”

“I won’t bury the headline. I can’t wait to hire E&A again. They did excellent work. Alberto was a little standoffish, initially, but he’s professional. He looks all business, but he softened up over the course of the job. He arrived earlier than expected to assess the work and provide an estimate. He measured the room and gave me the cost. I had received three other quotes, but they were all higher. I had even hired a different company a week earlier to paint a different bedroom, and while they were slightly cheaper, the work wasn’t as good as E&A. Vincent (the painter) was friendly and professional. He worked cleanly. He was also on time during the two-day job. Vanessa, the project manager, was also great. She was a breath of fresh air and very warm. She made sure I was satisfied with the work, and I’m certain she would have handled any issues if there had been any. I look forward to working with the E&A team again in the future.”

“E&A respond quickly when I call with home repair needs. Their work is excellent, they clean up beautifully, and the repairs last. I’m deeply grateful for their very professional work and will hire them again as the need arises.”

“We hired Alberto Cortez (Owner) to repaint our living room and sack the brick fireplace. He came over to give a free quote and afterward we were excited about his knowledge, professionalism, and fair pricing. His crew started the job within two weeks, got the job done within the week, and stayed true to their quote even when we needed an extra coat that required more paint. The workers were prompt, friendly, and willing to do whatever was needed to get the job done. Not to mention- cleaned up after themselves every day which I very much appreciated!! At every stage of the process, Alberto would check in with me to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. He would continue to remind me that his team immediately would redo it if I wasn’t 100% satisfied. E & A does way more than painting. Alberto has sub contractors that he uses and the mason he hired for our fireplace was fantastic- just like the painting! My husband and I are so pleased with the end results and can’t wait to hire E & A for our future projects!”

“E&A Home Improvement provided a detailed and very fair priced estimate to remove wallpaper, repair drywall damage, remove popcorn ceiling, paint all walls, ceiling, all woodwork and vanity cabinets in two bathrooms at our home and the end results were awesome and exceeded my expectations! My wife and I were very happy with the hard working, professional & courteous crew (Allan, German, & Eduardo)! I certainly will be doing work home improvement projects with this company, without a doubt!”

“They washed the walls, puttied all of the nail holes, primed, and painted. They did great work and left the house just as clean as it was before. On top of all that, E&A was the best price out of the 3 quotes I received. Alberto and his crew were able to complete my job very quickly! (I called him on a Monday, he came to my house to quote the job on Tuesday, and Alberto and his crew were out there on Friday morning and finished the job in one day. My house was empty, so that probably helped the job move quickly.)”

“Highly recommend E&A Home Improvement! We hired them to re-paint our back porch and they did an amazing job! They were very responsive to my initial request - came out the next business day to do a quote and started the job a day later! They were very professional in all of our interactions - from the owner, to the person who scheduled the job, to the gentlemen who completed the work ; all around professionals! I will definitely be hiring them again for all of our future home improvement jobs!”

“We recently had our roof replaced by E&A, and at every step of the process, Alberto and his team were responsive, professional, and thorough. When we solicited a quote, he had a team out that same day, and the price they quoted was very reasonable. It was our first time replacing a roof and we had a long list of questions; Alberto took our call immediately and very patiently and thoroughly answered every question we asked. We had rain delay our work, and Alberto was a clear communicator throughout the process. For the delivery of materials and the work, Alberto's crew was on time (actually about 10 minutes early each day--perfect!), very friendly and professional, and worked efficiently and carefully. Clean-up was spotless. I really can't speak highly enough about E&A, and we will absolutely return to them for future work on our home.”

“Due to my business building requiring leveling we had several areas in the Sheetrock and ceilings that needed repair. I was referred to E&A by a friend and employee. They did the job quickly and within the time frame I required. They did an excellent job on the repairs, came on time and finished on time. Cleaned up after the job was completed. Will definitely use E & A again and highly recommend.”

“Alberto and his guys did a great job painting several rooms in my house as well as installing a new backsplash in my kitchen. They are very professional, responsive, and do great work. I was very pleased with how everything turned out. Would definitely recommend.”
