Richard's Painting of New Orleans

Richard's Painting of New Orleans takes on painting jobs from their base in Metairie. They handle interior and exterior painting along with wallpaper installation and free estimates through their site. Brett and Olga run the crews on most of these projects and also step into related fixes like door refinishing and small renovation pieces such as flooring or fence work.

Homeowners bring them in for foyer painting and wallpapering, front door sanding and high gloss finishes after appliance damage, porch railings, full interior and exterior paint with custom glitter or metallic walls, plus extras like carpet removal, new floors, fireplace updates, fence heightening, artificial turf, sprinklers, and a BBQ area. They step in on rushed ceiling and wall repairs when prior contractors bail, smooth bumpy walls, and deliver clean results on tight timelines even in spots like the French Quarter.

Crews show up the same day for urgent calls, send end of day updates, adjust quotes to fit budgets, and keep work areas clear with safety first. They cover New Orleans spots including Lakeview and the Irish Channel, stay responsive on quotes sent by email, and work around parking limits without extra hassle.

“Richard's Painting painted & wallpapered my foyer. Brett was very respectful as he initially reviewed the the foyer and explained all of what was needed. Olga who oversaw the crew, as she painted and installed the wallpaper, offered many creative ideas which I greatly appreciated. She had a special, way of blending a high asthetic sense with meticulous details. Most helpful was her candor, along with a sense of humor as she explained the process of steps throughout the project. This project has been, so far, not only thorough, but FUN! (It was agreed to return to review if special final touches ie rehanging stained glass etc, a spot paint etc) Their crew was hard working, polite and treated my property in a dignified manner. They felt to me like hard working neighborhood friends.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the work that Olga (Richard’s Painting of New Orleans) did on my front doors. She completely sanded and refinished them using Fine Paints of Europe high-gloss oil-based paint, and the result is absolutely stunning. The finish has a deep, mirror-like shine that truly elevates the entire front entrance of my home. Before painting, Olga carefully repaired some damage that had been caused by an appliance delivery. The repair work was seamless—you would never know the doors had been damaged. Their attention to detail during the prep process was impressive, and it clearly shows in the final finish. The company was professional, meticulous, and clearly very experienced working with high-end paints. Olga took the time to properly prep, sand, and apply the finish so the doors look like new again. High-gloss oil enamel like this is known for producing a very smooth, porcelain-like surface when applied correctly, and she absolutely nailed it. If you are looking for painters who truly care about craftsmanship and quality, I highly recommend them. The front doors have become a real focal point of the house!”

“They are currently completing several projects for our Association and have delivered quality workmanship at a reasonable cost. Their team is easy to work with. Most importantly, they make customer satisfaction a priority and go the extra mile to ensure their clients are pleased with the final result.”

“The richards team did a great job installing a railing and painting my back and front porches. They finished quickly and were great at providing updates at the end of the day.”

“If you’re looking for a trustworthy, speedy, impeccable contracting team, look no further. I’m a lawyer living in Lakeview with my husband and pup, and we just had the most wonderful experience with our dream reno. Brett’s team was able to turn the entire first floor of our house into something straight out of a magazine—and they did it all in FOUR DAYS. Everyone that worked on the project was incredibly kind, highly skilled, and it’s obvious from looking at their work that they put their heart and soul into everything they do. I am so eternally grateful we found this team. If you book them for a project in your home, small or large, I know you will be too. See the after and before pictures, they speak for themselves!!! (FOUR DAYS??? 😱😱😱)”

“We had a great experience with Richard’s Painting. Brett and Olga spent the time with us to make sure they understand what we were trying to accomplish. They helped steer us towards options that look great for our budget. We have two little ones, so they’ve also proactively thought about child safety as they’ve proceeded. And they’ve really put their heart into the work, caring about all the details as if it were their own space. We’d definitely use them again for future work!”

“We could not be happier with the work Richard’s Painting did for our home. They handled both the interior and exterior painting, including several custom finishes such as glitter and metallic accent walls in our bedrooms, and everything turned out beautifully. In addition to the painting, they completed multiple renovation projects throughout our home, including carpet removal, new flooring installation, and fireplace renovations. They also transformed our backyard by heightening our fence, installing artificial turf and sprinklers, and building a fantastic BBQ gazebo area. What impressed us most was not only the quality of their work but also their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to bringing our family's vision to life. They worked incredibly hard and earned our complete trust while working in our home. Beyond being skilled craftsmen, they are genuinely wonderful people. We truly enjoyed getting to know them and appreciated how much they cared about making sure every detail was done right. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for painting, remodeling, or outdoor renovation work. The results exceeded our expectations, and we are grateful for everything”

“What a wonderful experience! We called Richard’s Painting in a major rush as our contractor disappeared and we were in a significant time crunch. They were at our house that day. They repaired and painted our ceiling, walls and floor in a matter of days and we were back on schedule. The owners and the painters are all delightful to be around, and our seven-year-old daughter was taken with them all. This is the only painting company we will work with going forward. The finished product is a work of art.”

“This company is very focused with details and quality. They take care of everything and offered a service that is so very thorough that I do not need to supervise their work. If you need remodeling, repairs, painting or wallpaper these are the folks to work with! It’s a family business and they look after everything for their customers. Above and beyond definitely recommend!!”

“I had an excellent experience with these guys. They were very efficient and thorough as well as being a fun crew to have around for the day. Highly recommend!”

“Richard’s Painting was a pleasure from start to finish. I really felt like they were doing everything they could to make things easy for me. They were responsive, kind, flexible, and accommodating. I live in the French Quarter, and they were cooperative while working in a tough place to park and get materials in and out. The work was done timely, and the work was done well. I’d recommend this company over and over.”

“We had a really great experience with Richard’s Painting of New Orleans. From the very beginning, Brett made the process easy. Since we were purchasing a new home in the Irish Channel, I couldn't have every contractor disrupt the sellers' lives before we closed on the property, so I had to put together a quote request package PDF and email it to him. Even without being able to see the job in person before starting work, the quote was clear, and when we needed to adjust the amount of work to stay within budget, he was flexible and transparent about options. Communication and responsiveness was consistent and straightforward, which I really appreciated. Olga, our project lead, was fantastic. She’s warm, professional, and clearly very talented. We felt completely comfortable having her manage the project and being in our home. We felt comfortable leaving it up to them to access the house on their own each day and lock up at night. The crew’s work exceeded our expectations. They painted the common areas of our new home — living room, kitchen, kitchen cabinets, hallways, two bedrooms, and a bathroom — and the quality shows. Clean lines, solid prep work, and real attention to detail. P”

“I highly recommend Richard's Painting. Brett, Olga and their crew were great to work with. Excellent communication, solid craftsmanship and quick work made the renovation of our new store space (Funky Monkey) an excellent experience. Nice people who actually care aren't easy to come by in this field. Five Stars.”

“Brett and the team did a gorgeous job painting some exterior trim for me. They were quick and thorough: a pretty rare 1-2 punch. I'd use them again without a second thought. Lovely people doing great work. NOTE: the colors were my choice. If it ain't your jam, don't blame them! I'm thrilled with it.”

“I was very impressed with that work that was completed by Richard’s Painting New Orleans at my home. Bret and Big Mike went about their work very professional and detailed. Throughout their work process they kept safety a priority. There was never a mess or tools that were left hanging around which was very important due to the project being in the interior of the house. This was my first time having to have work done on my home and Bret made the journey very simple and understanding. Bret made the process understandable throughout from beginning to completion. The work was worth every penny. I will be using the Richard’s in the future for additional work and will recommend them to my friends, family and coworkers. Thanking you dearly Bret and Big Mike.”

“Richard's Painting can't be beat. Everyone that we have worked with are professional and exceptional at their job. Could not be any happier with the job well done. Thank you Brett and Olga.”

“I recently hired Richards Painting of New Orleans to paint the walls, ceiling, and floors in my dining room and two bedrooms and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional and hardworking. They provided an accurate quote up front and finished the job on schedule. The transformation is stunning, especially the floors! They carefully removed the old paint, smoothened the floor and polished everything to a sleek finish. The walls, which had some bumps before, are now smooth and look top-class. What really impressed me was their attention to detail and willingness to guide me through the color selection process. Their advice helped bring the space together beautifully. The owners were kind, patient, and truly cared about my satisfaction. I felt supported throughout the project. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and a team that genuinely takes pride in their work.”

“I was in a bind and needed someone who can do extremely high end work and in a hurry. They came in with confidence and knocked it out of the park! A pleasant experience from beginning to end. Excellent communication and outstanding quality of workmanship. I can’t recommend them enough!”
