About
Yellow Rose Painting operates as a painting contractor based right in Waco, Texas, handling work across the Waco and Temple areas for both homes and businesses. In this part of central Texas the summers run hot and long with plenty of humidity and sudden storms, which means exterior surfaces on houses and fences take a beating from the sun and moisture. Local painters see a steady stream of jobs on brick homes, wooden decks, and older properties that need fresh coats to hold up against the weather. Homeowners here often deal with fading paint and peeling on south-facing walls, so crews focus on prep work that lasts through the seasons rather than quick fixes. They handle interior painting on walls, ceilings, and trim along with full exterior jobs that cover siding, trim, and doors. Additional work includes commercial painting for shops and offices, kitchen cabinet painting to update old finishes without full replacement, brick painting and staining, plus fence and deck staining to protect wood from the elements. Crews also take on wallpaper removal, popcorn ceiling removal, and texture painting to smooth out dated surfaces before applying new color. Homeowners get a free estimate upfront, and the crew shows up with the right equipment to mask floors and protect furniture so the job stays contained. In Waco the work often involves matching existing textures on older homes while dealing with the dust and heat that come with summer projects. Reviews highlight crews that show up on time, keep the job site clean, and deliver even coverage without cutting corners on prep. That matters in a market where many houses sit for years between paint jobs and need solid protection against Texas sun and rain. Reliable painters stand out by finishing on schedule and standing behind their work through the first hot season. DIRT Score 5.0 from 310 reviews on Finds.

“First the communication with both Bailey who came to do our estimate and Josh the site manager was very easy. Also there was a lady named Mandisa who was easy to reach as well. She was extremely helpful when the original color I picked had too much of a blue undertone and with changing our paint color. We are EXTREMELY happy with our color we chose. Our cedar posts also were stained with a transparent stain which looks beautiful. There was a few things I was a bit disappointed with. The final walk thru neither my husband nor I were available. I personally would have preferred this in person, however we were able to tell Josh any issues we noticed for the most part They did come out to address them. The second thing was the painters used rocks I used around flower beds to hold down the prep paper to prevent it from blowing up with the wind which was completely fine, however they did not put them back. Is that the end of the world? No, but it would have been appreciated. Lastly, there is one area on the back patio that really looked like it did not get painted well enough or like they did not do their best with scrapping off old paint so it looks like it will peel off sooner than it should. We did send a picture of this to Josh, hopefully they did repaint but in my opinion still looks a bit rough and will need to corrected. Overall, our experience was very favorable with Yellow Rose Paint and we love the color!”
“Yellow Rose Painting did an amazing job on my house that was suffering from the original paint job. We've all seen those sun faded paint jobs! My house is so beautiful now and fully restored to its original beauty! My whole experience was absolutely fantastic! Reid gave me an awesome quote and answered all of my questions without being pushy or evasive. He fully understood that I was going to get other quotes. I am so glad I went with Yellow Rose painting! Matt was there every day! Harrison and his crew were so detailed, clean, quiet, and professional. I couldn't be happier!”
“Update after completed project: We had a lot of problems as you can see below BUT in the end a lady (I think higher up in the company) and one of the owners, Jason, contacted us. They listened to all of our concerns/issues and made sure to resolve as much as they possibly could. Some additional clean up was done, resolution for damaged house items, and multiple phone calls for learning and more resolutions for the project. It is important to remember that no company/project is perfect and grace is required. We went from excited to frustrated and back to content and glad to be heard. Jason was great to deal with and seems to really care about the company and learning from mistakes, which is a great way to run a business. Original post: Upfront and before work began this company seemed great, which is why we chose to select them out of several companies we talked to. But from day one of work scheduled everything went downhill! This is by far one of the worst companies I’ve dealt with. We personally dealt with the actual painters, the supervisor of the painters, the supervisor or that supervisor, and the estimator. With each conversation we were told different information by each. They have terrible internal communication which spilled down into our specific project. Here I am, weeks later, still waiting for final touch ups and fixes and things to be done that were agreed upon. They painted light fixtures, floor plug coverings, outlets, door hardware, all door hinges, and left paint spots on our exterior as well. It’s been a huge headache and I would not recommend!! Also, I was asked for final payment a week ago before my work has even been completed! They were supposed to come today to finish everything but an hour after our scheduled time I texted and they said oh they have to reschedule to a future date! Bad business practices and lack of communication has been extremely hard to deal with.”
“Absolutely loved my experience with Yellow Rose Painting! I love the work they did and everyone was so sweet! The process was seamless and what I liked best was how they stayed in contact with me throughout the job. They understood my vision and brought it to life! I would recommend them to anyone looking to update their home!”
“YRP painted my porches and did a great job. Crew was quiet, clean and professional. Highly recommend. Alex and Antonio did a great job and Adan came every day to make sure that my expectations were met. 5 stars. Ceilings are Sherwin-Williams Vast Sky (to reduce landings by birds and bugs - yes, it really works) and decks are Dorian Gray. Front door is Tricorn Black.”
