“Buyer Beware if You Have Pets I contacted Yellow City Pest Control because I specifically wanted to make sure the products used in my home would be safe for my pets. I was assured that all of their products were pet safe. My home was treated on July 22. That evening, my 8-pound Yorkie became very ill, vomiting and showing neurological symptoms. I immediately contacted an after-hours veterinarian, who advised me to call Pet Poison Helpline. One of the first questions they asked was what chemicals had been used in my home. I pulled up the service receipt that Yellow City had emailed me, but it contained no information about the products or chemicals used. Both Pet Poison Helpline and I attempted to contact Yellow City after hours to obtain that information, but neither of us received a response. The technician who treated my home saw my Yorkie and knew she was inside the house. The following morning, I called Yellow City demanding to know what chemicals had been applied. Despite the urgent situation involving a potentially poisoned dog, no one had returned my after-hours message.
