“Moved into my place in Odessa a month ago and almost right away cockroaches started showing in the laundry room and sneaking under the fridge. I’m not squeamish but seeing one at 1 a.m. will still make you shout. Tried boric powder, tried those sticky traps. Roaches just kept waving at me. Called a local pest outfit that neighbors recommended. The tech (can’t remember his exact name, maybe Mike?) showed up looking regularball cap, clipboard, quick smile. First thing he did was listen to my ramble, didn’t rush me. Then he flipped his phone light, got on knees, pointed out pepper-looking droppings and two cardboard boxes the bugs were loving.
