“Switched to Alta over a year ago from another pest control company because of the deal they offered. 2 houses they have serviced since then and neither home has had a great performance of pest removal... we've been at this house for 4 months and have had our home treated multiple times. Recently we've had an insane amount of caterpillar nests on our front door, multiple wasps nests around the home, and unbearable mosquitoes. We fully expected all of those to be removed when our home was treated. Not only did they not remove a single one of those pests, they left the door hanger on the front door right where the nests were. I've worked with multiple companies over the years and this has definitely proved that price is worth it with pest control. Then when I looked into our contract and account, I realized they started charging us $16 over our contracted rate within 2 months of signing up with them. Calling customer service took me weeks to get ahold of someone. Today when I finally did, they told me I had fire ant service.. which I never requested and have zero contract documentation for. The customer service rep skirted around my ask for that contract and couldn't provide me with”

“Updated: Emmanuel N. was super helpful on the phone and cut the early termination fee in half, from $424 to $212, which was a relief. I am a bit less disgruntled than before and added a star and will note that they made leaving easier than I was prepared for after having dealt with Moxie. And according to reviews my experience is an outlier so I can't speak for everyone. Original: Similarities to Moxie, but definitely better. Here's a long story, but there is a point and a warning here. Years ago I had a bad experience with Moxie. The salesperson was friendly, but pushy. They pointed out things White Knight had missed and seemed to have reasonable rates. I signed up and realized I had a year contract. I would owe hundreds to cancel due to a discounted "first treatment". I dealt with subpar treatment for a year with constant callbacks to get the lawn treated again. A business that require contracts with hefty cancellation fees indicates a problem. If your service is that great, you don't need to trap people. So I switched to ABC for a few years which was great. No contract. Easy cancellation. Decent experience. Anyways a salesman for Alta stopped by and was really friendly and nice.”

“He didn't even knock or ring the doorbell. Didn't even know he was here until I saw him in my backyard. Every other time. The guys come to the door let me know they are here to service the house and are there any problem areas. I figured I'd wait until he was done. Thought he'd ask then. I only knew he was gone because of the text. We pay for a service to be done properly. I had issues with spiders and a lot of flying insects that can sting. I garden and have children. Please never send him again. Everyone else has been amazing.”
