Abracadabra Lawn Pest & Weed Control

Abracadabra Lawn Pest & Weed Control handles lawn fertilization, weed control, tree and shrub care, and pest treatments including grubs, insects, and fungus issues from their base in Wylie. The family owned operation covers addresses across Wylie, Plano, Dallas, Collin County, and North Texas with services that include liquid aeration, water management, and targeted applications for nutgrass and dallisgrass. Reviewers note the company has operated for more than twenty years and keeps an automatic schedule that sends crews out on a regular cycle without extra calls from the homeowner.

Customers describe fixes for dead patches caused by untreated fungus, Bermuda mite problems that technicians explained on site, and thick weed growth that had taken over neglected yards. Jason worked through a treatment plan that turned a brown lawn green within a month. Justin walked one homeowner through mite control options during the visit. Other jobs included grub control and general insect prevention that left yards weed free and full after repeated visits. Rafael handled a recent service call with clear explanations of what products would address the specific yard conditions.

Crews respond on schedule, often arriving within days of a request, and send updates by text or phone before and after each visit. Reviewers mention economical pricing compared with prior larger companies and note that technicians stay polite while working. Service stays within the listed North Texas cities and counties, with hours that allow weekend or weekday stops as needed. One account mentioned a refusal to spray when weeds grew too tall between visits, but most others highlight consistent follow through on the planned applications.

Google shows a 4.8 rating across 403 reviews. Common points include lawns that stayed green and thick year after year, staff who knew which products matched the yard problems, and reliable timing that removed the need to track treatment dates.

“★★★★★ We’ve had a great experience with Abracadabra Lawn Pest & Weed Control! Their service is excellent, and they are always timely about getting out to take care of our lawn when it needs attention. I especially love the convenience of having an automatic service that stays on top of our lawn’s needs without us having to constantly think about scheduling it. They make the whole process easy and reliable, and our lawn is well taken care of. Highly recommend!”

“We are thoroughly impressed with the level of service we receive from Abracadabra. Our lawn looks amazing! Jason is thorough and keeps our lawn looking great. We previously used another larger named company for our lawn care and our lawn never really greened up and we had a large patch in the center that the grass died and would not grow. We were told we needed to water more, get a grub worm treatment, fertilizer, etc. My daughter told us about Abracadabra and asked us to give them a try. Come to find out we had a fungus in our yard that was not being treated. Abracadabra came out diagnosed the problem, gave a treatment plan and about a month later we had the greenest grass on the block. We have been loyal Abracadabra customers since!”

“Justin made me feel confident in my choice of companies to take care of this new pest hindering the health of my lawn. He took the time to explain a variety of subjects while he was on my property to treat for Bermuda mites. Thank you .”

“Abracadabra has been my choice for lawn weed and pest control for over 10 years. My yard is weed free ! The staff are consistently on time, polite and knowledgeable ! OUTSTANDING SERVICE ! Highly recommend !”

“I’ve really had an awful experience recently with this company. Which is disappointing, because I had them for years with no issues. Lately, it’s been one headache after another. Most recently, I hired them to spray for weeds. They came out and said the weeds were too tall, and refused to spray. Fine. I had the lawn mowed, even though it hadn’t grown at all, it was just some weeds around the edge. They came back out four days later, and refused to spray again, because the weeds had grown again. The technician took a photo next to a couple like 4-6 inch tall weeds, and they texted me basically scolding me about it. Apparently they only want to do weed control if you don’t really have weeds. I reminded them that I’d hired them to help with the weeds, and sent them videos of what the yard actually looks like, and they reluctantly came back out…but not before asking me to mow again (4 days after it was mowed) Needless to say, I’m shopping around now.”

“I was using a lawn service for a year with out any improvement in my yard. Tried Abracadabra and the first year the improvements were amazing. I received lawn of the year from our homeowner's association the second year I was with Abracadabra. I've been with them ever since 12 years now. I highly recommend Abracadabra for lawn care and outstanding customer service.”

“Abracadabras Lawn and Tree Care Since using their services, my yard has never looked better. The grass is lush, the trees are thriving, and the shrubs look perfectly shaped and full. I appreciate their consistency, attention to detail, and reliable service. I highly recommend Abra Cadabra to anyone looking for excellent lawn and tree care.”

“Didn't kill the weeds in my yard.Sent photos of the undead weed and got back "we can kill this we can't kill that" We can kill Broadleaf weeds. AI photo said "No you didn't kill that also" They're working hard at getting $100 fee for just watering my grass. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. They need to come out and see if they can do the job 1st and explain the what they can't kill. Just going to Hine Depot and get some weed and feed.”
