Tex-Gon Plumbing, Llc
Plumber · Abilene, TX
About
Tex-Gon Plumbing runs as a local outfit based in Abilene, Texas. They focus on residential and some commercial plumbing work across the area. Crews take on water heater installs and repairs, copper repiping, Pex lines, softener systems, bathtub fixes, and leak repairs that come up in homes. The company works with homeowners who face sudden issues like tankless heater problems or basic pipe troubles common in older Abilene properties. Licensed and insured teams handle calls for both minor fixes and bigger replacements without extra layers of process.
Eddie and his crew installed a new water heater for one customer who lacked funds upfront and arranged a payment plan to get the job done. Another review described a technician helping a disabled senior mother sort out her plumbing issue with fair pricing and no added costs. Jobs often involve direct service on water heaters and home lines where the plumber shows up to diagnose and replace parts. Some customers noted the crew handled the work on the spot while others waited on warranty assignments that dragged on without follow through.
Reviews split on results with some customers praising the fair prices and willingness to help on payments or senior care while others flagged delays, unannounced arrivals, and weak communication that left problems open for weeks. Timeliness and clear updates fell short in multiple cases along with incomplete checks on the actual setup under homes. These patterns across the feedback explain the overall mark. DIRT Score 1.37 from 13 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Thank you Tex-gon Plumbing for efficiently and professionally helping my disabled senior mother with her plumbing issue. It’s so hard to find businesses that really care about their customers these days, and without gouging prices. You made our day! 😃”
“I have had a horrible experience that I am still dealing with. This company was assigned to me on 2/28/21 by my home warranty company. It is now 3/10/21. The home warranty and I have not been able to contact him this entire process. The man showed up unannounced and asked if we wanted a new water heater (paid for by our home warranty company) without even inspecting our water heater, he checked the model number and left 3/2/21. We have not heard from him since. I have called multiple times & texted no response. My home warranty said the water heater was available for him to pick 3/5/21. The warranty company will not switch my contractor yet even though he has not responded to any of their calls or emails. I am very frustrated and have been without hot water for several days now. I have read so many similar reviews to this man. Please beware and NEVER use Eddie the owner of Tex-Gon pluming in Abilene TX!”
“Received a new water heater. Eddie and his team made it easy for me to get a new water heater when I did not have the funds to do so. He was willing to work with me and let me make payments. So grateful for Tex-Gon Plumbing and their kindness!”
“DO NOT USE!!! Our home warranty sent this company out to our house. Huge mistake...not timely, not professional, and did not examine the actual situation. Then to find out he was feeding inaccurate diagnosis back to home warranty. Made a claim (without ever going under the pier & beam house) that it was a collapsed line, and the issues were outside of the foundation, soil movement etc. We later to find out, it was in order for the home warranty to not have to pay their portion of the issue. We scheduled a time for Eddie to come out for repair the supposed collapsed line...he never showed up. Wasted time and lots of money dealing with this company. Thank goodness he never showed up we found a reputable company to swiftly correct the actual issue " a clogged line" about 5 ft under the sink.”
“AHS warranty sent these people out to fix my issues on 9/28/2021. It is 10/24/2021 and no repairs have been made and AHS won’t let me switch providers. Much like most of the complaints, no response from Tex-Gon and no repairs made.”
