“I found myself doing a total remodel on a property recently purchased. Alta Vista went above and beyond to bring my property up to code and added value to the property through doing the following: added an extra bathroom, rerouted water lines, add an outside faucet, added utility connections, assured the water pressure from the meter to the house was accurate and educated us in the drainage system. All the new lines are insulated and Steve Maldonado kept us updated and educated during the entire process. During their service of my property there was one small leak that they promptly fixed as soon as I called them! To this day I have asked them questions pertaining to the plumbing on the property and they respond fast! I highly recommend Alta Vista Services for ALL plumbing jobs. “Alta Vista was the third plumbing company that I called to get an estimate to have a new water heater installed. I wasn’t satisfied with the first two plumbers that came out to provide an estimate so I continued to look for another plumber which is when I found Alta Vista. “I chose Alta Vista to unhook & re-install my gas dryer & washing machine from one house to another 2 doors down. The tech gave a text heads up & showed up in a timely manner. When hooking up the dryer, he struggled with the dryer vent & was not able to make our existing one work. He also didn’t have another one on his truck despite knowing why he came. So the dryer was left in the middle of the laundry room incomplete & I had to go to Home Depot after he left, buy a new vent & hook it up myself. Once I did that, I went to do some laundry. The washer wouldn’t start because the beaker hadn’t been reset & when it was time to dry, the dryer didn’t heat. The tech had not turned on the gas, which means he also didn’t leak check the gas, which was literally the reason he was hired-I don’t mess with gas. I texted requesting help & in the end he came back to fix it that evening. While he was here the first time, we asked if he could replace our kitchen faucet. He was able to remove it by cutting it off, but the new faucet I bought wouldn’t fit properly. So again, I ended up buying a different thing & doing it myself. “In July 2020, I was connected to Alta Vista via Lowe's who uses Handy to schedule their toilet install jobs. While I wasn't thrilled with Handy, Alta Vista was fantastic. They're a family-owned business, and owner Steve and his son completed my job. Because I paid for install via Lowe's I don't know what Alta Vista would have charged, but I would not hesitate to reach out to them for future plumbing needs. Update: Sept 2020, I have used them again to replace the garbage disposal, and have been very pleased with their service. June 2021 -- I have had Alta Vista out to flush my water heater, excellent service!”

“The installers were courteous and seemed to be knowledgeable and experienced at performing these installations. They cleaned up after themselves, gave me literature that came with the disposal unit and suggested I register it with the manufacturer. They left a business card and invited me to call if any problems are encountered. “I had a toilet replaced by this company through Lowe's. The two gentlemen who came were prompt and professional. One of them offered to swap out the seat from the old toilet with the one downstairs. Thank goodness because it saved me the frustration of having to figure it out myself! It also saved me money because the seat was new... me trying to swap out the seat is what led to the upstairs toilet breaking in the first place 😬😅 The job was completed days earlier than what Lowe's advised it would be!”

“We hired them to advise on water heater replacement since it was popping and making noise. They came out and flushed for 15 min..which is improper needs to flush for at 45 minutes. They said water heater ok. We can install a emergency shut off valve at a cost of $900 for flush and valve install. Within a week it was popping again. We called them and they said that is not good. We need to replace it! We tried to give them a chance to make it right with some refund if they would install a new water heater but they would not return our calls until weeks after and would not work with us! So we hired another plumber and he said they installed emergency valve wrong! It actually leaking!!!! I am glad we did not go back to them if this is how they work and customers serve was extremely poor.. I would rather cut my losses at $900 and run. If you are smart do not use them. We even sent them a registered letter and they refused it. That is ok we sent them to the Better Business Bureau! , Tried t”

“Initially they were great by being able to send someone immediately to my house to investigate a plumbing/shower leak. However, upon realizing that they misdiagnosed the source of the leak…their investigator(s) told me that there was a crack in the tub…I had a tub company from Home Depot verified that it wasn’t the tub at all and it as the actual shower plumbing/gasket…the Alta Vista investigators argued despite the fact that the other company fixed the leak source. Alta Vista ultimately admitted that it was misdiagnosed after multiple phone calls and finally after their manager was involved. The manager then told me that I would get a refund for $200 of the $250 I spent. Cool…never happened and still waiting on the check…3 weeks now! Don’t trust this company and don’t hire them even for an investigation. They don’t even have a leak detection equipment(moisture detector…etc) to identify where moisture has settled.”

“I contacted AVP Services when I knew they were probably the busiest they would be for the foreseeable future, after a prolonged freeze, before the snow and ice were gone. I knew I needed help because a stream of water was flowing slowly across my driveway, still surrounded by 6 inches of snow and ice on either side. I had the water turned off for only a day before Steve arrived on a Sunday afternoon to make a "temporary fix" and restore water, while waiting to securing parts for the final repair. I greatly appreciated his help with keeping the water on while waiting for the necessary parts. I highly recommend this business, very accommodating and competent.”

“I called Alta Vista Plumbing with a water heater issue. The business happens to be near my house. I had tried to make some repairs myself and made a misstep. I talked with Steve, their master plumber, on the phone and explained my problem. He said he was going out on a job soon and would make a quick stop by to check on my issue. Within an hour he came to my house and checked the water heater and told me what I had done wrong and told me how to do the repair properly. I asked him how much the service call would cost he he said "nothing, we are neighbors". I have a feeling that is his attitude with all potential customers. We are new in Georgetown and this will by my go to plumber. I can tell in that short encounter that this business has great integrity and service.”

“Although we were great full for hot water by the end of the evening Company was sent out by home warranty company. Plumber arrived with in the window but was back and fourth past the time frame they were supposed to be out. Plumber showed up in unconventional work vehicle for the trade. Issues had been discussed with the warranty company and the the plumbing company. Model/type of water heater were discussed prior to the company arriving. Plumber had to leave location l, and go to Home Depot to by supplies that they should’ve have already had with them. Including a hose to drain the water heater. The plumber hit the corner of our wall chipping off a piece of the drywall on the molded corner. They also wanted to up sell us on the repair which is typical but you should be prepared to give some sort of information for the up sell.”
