“I had an exterior water service line leak with a complicated history of previous repairs, and Eric from Plumbing Outfitters did an excellent job. I was very impressed with his patience and his approach. He didn't just fix the cracked fitting he found. He listened carefully to the history, looked at photos of previous repairs, and examined the whole plumbing configuration. He reminded me of a good doctor who looks at the whole picture rather than simply treating what is in front of him. And I appreciate his patience with my repeated questions, as I was under a lot of stress with the recurrence of the problems. He found a cracked 90° elbow near the meter and several elbows installed very close together. Rather than simply replacing the failed fitting the same way, he reconfigured the assembly with 90° and 45° fittings to reduce stress on the line. He also inspected the surrounding pipe and determined that it was in good condition, so he didn't recommend unnecessary work. Eric was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional throughout the job. His van and equipment were incredibly organized, "combat ready", and he is incredibly quick and precise. “It is always worrisome to have to have a plumber come to fix a problem given the horror stories one hears. I contacted Plumbing Outfitters based on their recommendations in Next Door. Their response was almost immediate and Matthew Albitre came the next day--because of my schedule, not his. He worked quickly to identify the problem and was very transparent, with photos as well, with what he found. The repair was going to be complicated; he explained the problem and gave me two options for the repair with prices for each option. I chose the lesser option with the hope that I wouldn't have to go to the major repair. As soon as I chose, Matthew cancelled the initial visit charge and we set up the repair for the next morning. Two men came to the house, worked for several hours and solved the problem. Throughout the process, I was not pressured in the choices I was given, and the work was done competently and quickly. In addition, after the work was finished, I was offered a service contract that covered any plumbing issue for a year at no extra charge. It has been a pleasure working with Matthew and the two other employees of Plumbing Outfitters. I highly recommend them. ”

“Unfortunately my experience was not as positive as many of these reviews. After some "diagnostics", they replaced my shower valve, trim kit and shower head but none of it fixed my initial complaint of low water pressure and low hot water temperature. Now I have a hole to fix and the same issue. They could not find a cartridge to replace in my existing valve. And they require you to choose a Moen valve. And I could not get a simple answer regarding the new valve install. And I had to fix the wobbly shower head holder after it was installed. I should have just paid the initial $500 diagnostic fee and moved on. I would not use them again. Thanks for the response and offer, but I have already fixed the shower head holder myself and I will use a different company to resolve the original issue.”
