What Customers Say

Over the weekend had a huge leak in my yard from a pipe bursting. Called late Saturday, and Javier came out first thing Sunday morning. He was so kind, informative, and communicative all along the way. He did the repair and showed me along the way why it broke in the first place, and also gave me advice on how to prevent future issues that I plan to schedule with this company. Javier alone made the experience beyond 5 stars, but I am grateful for prompt action and good work. It was a lot that needed to be done and I feel reasonably priced for what services and quality repairs he did.

I had a mixed experience with Strand Brothers HVAC. On the positive side, my case manager Sarah was professional, responsive, and pleasant to work with. She made parts of the process smooth. However, the overall experience was frustrating due to poor coordination and communication from other staff. I clearly explained multiple times that I am in the option period as a buyer and would be responsible for the $99 service fee—not the seller. Despite this, there was continued confusion, creating unnecessary stress. I was also told the technician would call me after the visit to provide a summary, but I never received that call. Instead, I was sent a payment link that had already expired. The report and estimate I received were also lacking detail and not very helpful. More concerning, the technician caused damage to the driveway during the visit. When I reported this, another representative was dismissive and uncooperative, insisting the issue must be handled only with the seller since I’m not yet the owner. Given that I hired the service, this felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Overall, while there are good individuals like Sarah, the inconsistent communication and lack of accountability made this a disappointing experience.

Water heater installation. I had a water heater that was in much need of replacement. Carlos, a master plumber was assigned to remove and install and to make sure it was done with the builders code in order. This man is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and takes the time to talk to you about any concerns you might have and enjoys his work and people. On time, great service and piece of mind, Strand Brothers and Carlos are the best in the business.

Raciel Castillo is the best technician. I’ve had others in the past come to service my AC but he was the most informative and professional I’ve met over the years. I was happy to have him visit with me when my AC malfunctioned. He explained everything clearly and thoroughly.

I am updating my review after getting a second opinion. Strand Brothers quoted me $4,398 for attic insulation. Another company later quoted me $1,812.50 for the accessible portions of the same attic, explained the inaccessible dead space over my vaulted ceilings, measured my existing insulation, and documented exactly what R-value they would achieve. That level of transparency was completely missing from my original estimate. What bothered me most was the interaction itself. The technician began by telling me, “It’s not as bad as you think,” but then immediately presented a $4,398 estimate. While I was visibly shocked and trying to process that expense, he proceeded to recommend nearly $900 in duct cleaning and continued suggesting additional services. Instead of feeling like someone was helping me solve a problem, I felt like I was being sold to at one of the most stressful moments of the visit. It came across as sales-driven and, to me, felt predatory rather than customer-focused. I also had to cancel an appointment multiple times because one had apparently been created after I only called to ask about availability. Even after canceling, I continued receiving appointment calls and emails until I contacted the company again.
