About

Star State Plumbing runs as a family owned operation out of Spring Branch where they handle all kinds of plumbing work for homes and businesses across the area. With more than twenty eight years in the trade they take on everything from basic faucet fixes to full sewer line replacements and water line repairs. The crew stays focused on straightforward service and remodel jobs using solid parts that hold up in Texas conditions. Homeowners around here deal with hard water issues and aging pipes so these plumbers keep their schedules open for both quick calls and bigger projects that keep properties running right.

They show up for drain cleaning water pressure fixes and tankless water heater installs along with gas piping and reverse osmosis setups. Ben and Art rolled out on short notice to repair a flow restrictor then walked through what caused it and how to watch for problems later. Mike handled kitchen plumbing ahead of a full remodel and kept the work clean without pushing extra sales. Another call sorted out a water heater problem while taking time to answer every question from a new homeowner learning the ropes. The same approach covers foundation leak repairs and water softener installs when those come up in local houses.

Folks keep noting how fast the team answers calls and gets out to the job without delays. The techs explain fixes clearly and finish the work with attention to detail that avoids repeat issues. Prices stay reasonable and the service skips any pushy tactics which stands out in this line of work. Response speed earns the top marks along with the quality that leaves customers ready to call again. DIRT Score 4.98 from 78 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Star State Plumbing is absolutely amazing! Ben and Art came out on short notice, they repaired my flow restrictor, explained to me why it happened and further explained how to address any future issues I might have. They went above and beyond my expectations and I am eternally grateful! A great company with great customer service!!

Great individuals and was able to obtain a quick appt. Knowledgeable and friendly. Addressed water heater issue. Patient with my questions as I wanted to learn and educate myself as a new homeowner. Would definitely recommend and will be a continued loyal customer when services are needed. Thank you for your professionalism and service today.

Had water heater installed in a closet in the garage. Technician could not lift the unit into the closet . After an hour of watching him dance with heater, my wife and I decided to help. Two senior citizens had to lift the unit while the technician guided it into the closet. Without our help, it wasn't getting done. I've used this company 3 times before, no complaints. This time I'm not real happy, frame was damaged around the closet door, $125 to repair. We paid a lot for the heater, without our labor, job wasn't going to be completed. I feel we should have received a discount, but nothing.

Mike did a fantastic job getting my kitchen plumbing taken care of before a big remodel. Would recommend Star State over any other company. Attention to detail, snd straight forward business with no gimmicks or sales tactics.

Before booking, I called and specifically asked if their technicians were qualified to locate a water leak. I was told yes. The technician came out, worked nearly three hours, could not locate the leak, and referred us to a specialty company — we were charged $600 for that.We had to spend another $1200 with the other company who located the leak and fixed it. When we called to address it, we were told a manager would call us back. They never did. Instead we received a check in the mail for $60 — no call, no explanation, no acknowledgment. If you have a specific leak detection need, confirm exactly what the technician can do before booking. The lack of follow-through after the fact was just as disappointing as the original issue. Re: To Owner To clarify a few things: My husband was not aware he was speaking with the owner — he was told a manager/owner would call back and then never got a call back. My husband was polite, as he always is, but polite is not the same as satisfied. Regarding the Facebook post — someone in a local group asked about your company. I shared my honest experience. A woman then responded defending your company at length, and when I looked at her profile, she appeared to be the co-owner. That was not disclosed in the exchange, which I found misleading. As for my husband "knowing someone" at the leak detection company — he mentioned knowing of one. That's not the same as having a personal contact or choosing to opt out of your services. A 10% refund on a $600 charge for a service that didn't deliver what I was told it would is not resolution — it's a gesture. We were specifically told before booking that your technicians could locate a leak. That did not happen. That is the core issue, and it has never been directly addressed.
