So I left a 5 star review - but it was for my tech. Not the company. There is a ridiculous wait time. Took 5 weeks to get them here to diagnose for $650 (January) then I scheduled my repair and it was in March… but they called and told me the tech was out (not his fault, medical issue), and wanted to push me until early April. Well they found a time but it rained so NOW they’ve pushed it to late April. I’m seriously thinking of leaving my pool care company over this, too. The wait times are ridiculous. For context, I do rescue and when they came to check my leak, she had just arrived and we weren’t sure if she was pregnant. Today, as of this review, the puppies are 8 days old. They’ll be near adoption time by the time ALD gets here. If someone knows somewhere else to go - tell me. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. The technician? Super nice, very knowledgeable. The company? Terrible. Two technicians to cover all of this part of Central Texas. Badly done, American Leak Detection, badly done.

American Leak Detection of Central Texas has my HIGHEST recommendation! In dealing with home repair professionals, there are three aspects I look for: quality, value, and great customer service. American Leak Detection of Central Texas excels in all of these. Referred to me by one of the local plumbers I trust, who said, "They have highly specialized equipment that can detect precisely where the leak is. If 'I' go in there without any water visible, I will have to start tearing out drywall, shooting in the dark. American Leak Detection will be able to pinpoint EXACTLY which line it is." With that, he gave me the phone number and recommended Brian Bailey by name. From my first call, the receptionist was friendly and upfront about what to expect. Having a scheduled appointment for this afternoon, I got a call this morning that the technician might be able to come earlier if it was convenient for me. As a woman dealing with contractors, I am often wary that they might try to take advantage of me, but Brian immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and courtesy. Right away, the questions he asked me and the systematic approach he took to locate my leak demonstrated how knowledgeable he is regarding plumbing in general and leaks in specific, affirming my initial impression to trust this company. With no water visible anywhere, only the sound of rushing water and a spinning water meter, I was astonished at how quickly he found the leak. Being a licensed Master Plumber, he also gave me good advice about different aspects of the plumbing in my home, not only the leak that was the reason I called them out. As a first time home owner, there are maintenance things I did not know I can do to extend the life of my hot water heater and such. Brian was very helpful in suggesting maintenance strategies that will save me money in the long term, while encouraging me that I was doing the right thing in some minor repairs I had done on my own. Afterward, even my teenager commented, "He's probably one of the nicest people you can meet." All around, it was a great experience, and I was very impressed. If I ever have another leak, they will be the first call I make!

I had a very difficult plumbing fixed. I had multiple leaks in multiple areas of the house. Brian worked with me until we got every single leak fixed. I could pass inspection. The inspectors for City of Bryan worked with us because they respected the quality of his work. He is wonderful to work with, very thorough, and works very fast!

Brian just left and I could not be more pleased with his professionalism and methodology. He worked through the stages and zeroed in on the leak. 2 small and perfectly cut squares in the sheetrock exposed the offending pvc drain-line joint that had cracked at the base. A material failure after 25 years on the job. May we all have so few defects as we age! Long story short, ALDCT's exploratory discovered the exact problem with minimum invasion. We know the location 100%, this can now be repaired by my plumber. THX Follow on review: Brian executed the repair today with minimal invasion. Clean, pinpoint, and confidence-inspiring work - ahead of schedule. THX

These people are completely and utterly incompetent. I have had 3 weeks of scheduled appointments changed every time for a nonsense reason. First it was weather (there was no rain) and then the brain dead lady who answers the phone must have gotten her excuses mixed up because she told me that they don't cancel because of rain... Please don't waste your money or time.
