About
Lamar Plumbing Inc handles plumbing work for homeowners across Corpus Christi, TX. They focus on residential repairs and fixes in a coastal area where salt air and storms put extra wear on pipes and fixtures. The company sends crews out for jobs ranging from simple leaks to more involved drainage fixes, and they deal with both standard systems and electric tankless water heaters that homeowners install for efficiency. Crews show up with the tools needed to diagnose issues on the spot instead of pushing unnecessary replacements right away.
They fix broken water lines in yards, clear up drainage problems that cause backups, and repair leaks that show up under slabs or in walls. One crew with Trevor Coffman and Esmi Dorantes sorted out options for a homeowner facing repeated drainage trouble and walked through the steps so the owner could follow along. Tanner and David handled a water leak at another house and got it sealed properly without extra damage. They also respond to electric tankless water heater faults like tripping issues, though some jobs require multiple visits to flush and reset units correctly. The approach keeps things moving by sending technicians who stay on site until the immediate problem is solved.
Homeowners mention steady work quality that holds up after the crew leaves and clear communication about what needs doing versus what can wait. Reviews note crews arrive when promised, explain findings without pressure, and charge rates that match the scope instead of inflating the bill. Those points add up across the feedback even when a job hits complications. DIRT Score 4.18 from 102 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Worst company I've ever dealt with. Hands down. Bought into their "expert" service for my electric tankless water heater, and it turned into a total money pit and endless headache.First issue: unit trips (like a GFCI fault for the water side). They send a guy out, he says it's tripped, cleans/flushes it, resets it. "All good now." Okay, fine—$X later (whatever the first call was), problem solved... or so I thought.Less than a MONTH later, same exact tripping issue. Call them back. Same routine: reset, flush, "looks good, just call us in a year for another flush." Charge me $336 for that second worthless visit. Less than a FEW DAYS after they leave? Tripping again. I have to chase THEM down after I let them know of this repeated issue. Then they ghosted me after I asked what the actual plan was to FIX this instead of band-aiding it forever. They finally mumble something about "maybe a part" and another flush (more money, obviously), but no real diagnosis, no follow-up, no accountability. They completely forgot about me in the meantime—like I didn't exist.I got so fed up I just ordered a brand-new tankless unit myself (who knows how long it would take them to get one and mark it up). When they finally sent someone to install it, they wouldn't budge ONE PENNY on the install cost, even though I know if I'd let them "fix" the old one piece by piece, they'd have milked me for hundreds more in parts and repeat calls. This feels like a deliberate slow bleed: drag the customer along with temporary "fixes," charge every time, never solve the root problem, then act surprised when you bail and buy new. Death by a thousand cuts. They don't care about fixing things—they care about racking up service fees.Never again. Save yourself the frustration and money—go somewhere else or DIY if you can. These folks are in the business of bleeding customers dry, not providing real service.Avoid at all costs. 1 star is generous. This cost me almost 2k all said and done and that is with me purchasing the unit myself at HD with 10% off.”
“I can’t say enough good things about this company. They have done work for me and they are always on time, do a good job and charge a fair price. Now my neighbor had a broken water line in her yard. The first company she called came out and inspected the leak and told her it would cost $2,000 to repair the problem. I said that is ridiculous-and told her about my experience with Lamar Plumbing. She called them and they responded right away. They located the problem (the water line was initially installed with some cheap glue and shoddy work and eventually failed). The technician fixed the problem and the entire bill was less than $350. Thank you Lamar Plumbing for your quick response, honest service and not being predatory in your pricing. I am a customer for life and I will recommend your company to anyone who needs a plumber. Sam Faulkner”
“I am writing this letter of recommendation for TREVOR COFFMAN and ESMI DORANTES. They worked very hard to straighten out our drainage problems. Trevor explained my options and what he was doing, and I really appreciated being involved in the decision-making.”
“Tanner and David came out to my house. Repaired my water leak properly and very professionally. I was very pleased with the job and I give them a five star rating for their work.”
“Amazing service and communication. This is a stand up company with good and genuine morals. Thank you Trenton for always proving excellent service and knowledge.”
