About

Venancio Hernandez Rivas runs Miranda's Plumbing based in Edinburg, Texas. This crew sticks to plumbing work for local homes, dealing with the pipes, drains, and water lines that face stress from the area's heat and storms. Homeowners around Edinburg call them when systems break down or need steady upkeep, since the team knows the setups common to houses in the Rio Grande Valley. They handle the calls that come in without adding layers of talk, focusing on getting water flowing right again in kitchens, baths, and outdoor lines that tie into bigger household setups.

The plumbers show up for jobs like clearing clogged condensate lines in air conditioning setups when units quit on a Saturday, with Eric fixing the blockage and swapping filters while keeping the work area neat. Vincent handles tougher repairs that stump others, staying on site until the fix holds and hunting down the lowest cost parts for the customer. Calls get answered the same day, with techs staying three hours or more to salvage working units and order replacements so water and cooling return fast. They cover routine drain work and emergency leaks that hit during heavy rains, always showing up prepared with tools to finish without callbacks.

Homeowners keep coming back because the crew moves quick on response times and delivers solid fixes that last, with consistent marks for getting jobs done right the first time and keeping costs reasonable on bigger repairs. Folks note the techs arrive on schedule, explain what broke in plain terms, and wrap up without dragging things out. Speed stands out at a high level while quality holds steady across repeat visits. What Customers Say

We have been using Miranda since we moved to Florida 9 years ago. We would not use anyone else. Vincent, our plumber, is wonderful. Always on time, does a great job, solves difficult problems, courteous and professional. Always tries to get us the best price.

My AC stopped working, so I called 3 companies to ask if they would come determine what the issue was, and I asked for a quote for the repairs. Miranda AC did come out very quickly, which was the ONLY good thing they did. They charged me $99 for the service call, and an additional $65 because it took their tech more than 15 minutes. He was here perhaps half an hour, and told me the coil was bad and needed to be replaced, as well as the expansion valve. Since it was in the attic, it needed 2 people, so it would cost more, about $2300 just for labor. At this time, I thought my AC was still under warranty because when I bought the home 3 years ago, I transferred the AC warranty to my name. However, they only allowed the transfer of the original 5 year warranty, not the 10 year extended warranty. So the quote Miranda gave me was only for labor, because we thought the parts were covered by the warranty. Of course the warranty issue is not Miranda's fault. I just added that for context. The other 2 companies I had come check the AC both came to a different conclusion: the coil was just fine, but it did need a new expansion valve. One company gave me the estimate for free, the other charged me $95. But that's still cheaper than Miranda's $164 and both of those companies spent nearly an hour and didn't charge me extra for spending more than 15 minutes. Keep in mind that I did NOT tell any of the companies what parts the other techs had said were bad. When the other two company techs told me it was just the expansion valve, I asked each of them if they were sure the coil was ok, and they were both certain it was fine. So it turns out that Miranda AC was trying to charge me to replace a coil that was only 5 years old and that 2 other techs said was just fine. And the $2300 that Miranda quoted me was ONLY for the labor, because as I said, we thought the AC was still under warranty, so imagine what they would have tried to charge me for the parts. So, thanks, but no thanks, Miranda. I do not like companies who try to take advantage of people like this. I mean, it is POSSIBLE that both of the other companies that came out were wrong, but that seems unlikely. According to the invoice emailed to me clearly stating that the coil and expansion valve both needed to be replaced, this was job # 412420, in case anyone from Miranda reads this. I did try contacting your office a couple times but no one has returned my calls.

Your technician was here the same day I called. He was able to salvage one unit… and the replacement parts for the second unit should be here by the end of this week…. Pricey, yes. But he as here for three hours and before he left one unit was up and running. Better than being informed we needed two new units.

My air-conditioning went out on Saturday and I was in a full panic. I reached out to Miranda and Eric came over and took care of everything - not only did he fix the clogged line. He also changed all my filters was extremely neat and efficient. So grateful - thank you so much, Eric!

Oscar was outstanding during his visit. He explained everything very well and was knowledgeable about his trade. Everyone Miranda sends to our place is punctual, polite, and professional!
