Thompson Family Plumbing and Drain

Thompson Family Plumbing and Drain handles plumbing work across Lake Havasu City. This outfit focuses on residential and light commercial jobs in a desert region where extreme heat and hard water from the local supply create constant wear on pipes and fixtures. Their listed services cover everything from basic drain clearing and gas line work to full repiping projects, slab leak repairs, and water treatment systems. Homeowners in the area call on them for tankless water heater installs and backflow testing that keeps systems running through the dry seasons without frequent breakdowns.

Plumbers here deal with the usual headaches that come from older homes and new builds alike. Copper lines expand and contract daily under the sun, leading to pinhole leaks that technicians trace with detection tools before they flood slabs. Garbage disposal repairs and shower valve replacements show up often because mineral buildup clogs lines fast. Emergency crews respond to gas leaks and pipe bursts that hit during peak summer use, while regular calls involve faucet fixes and tub drain cleaning to keep water flowing. They also handle repiping jobs that swap out galvanized sections for modern materials suited to the local soil and temperature swings.

Customers keep coming back because the crew shows up on time, explains the fix in plain terms, and charges straight rates without padding the bill. Speed on emergency runs, clean finishes on fixture installs, and clear updates during longer pipe jobs build the kind of repeat business that adds up to hundreds of reviews. Quality shows in how they handle both quick leak patches and full system upgrades without callbacks. DIRT Score 4.72 from 694 reviews on Finds.

“Levi was ok for what Thompson Family Plumbing apparently sent him out to do which was not the 3/4" PVC pipe repair for my mobile home as I expected. He spent about 3/4" of an hour testing my water quality, trying to replace my hot water heater anode, but stripped the hex head and could not remove it afterall, selling me on a Family plan for Plumbing repairs. Charged me over $300 just to go under my mobile home to tell me what was wrong. I hesitantly said ok, because I was there only one day and needed it fixed. I already knew it had a leak. Then he told me he is just a technician and someone else will have to be scheduled to actually fix it. He said it would be over $1,100 to repair. I hesitantly setup the appointment knowing that if I couldn't get someone else to repair it I would ”

“Brandon was very nice. Did a good job. I did have a decscreincy over the price originally quoted. But after speaking with Lindsay the issue was resolved. I would like to thank them for that. And would recommend this company.”

“Thompson Services are top notch! From the text sent after hours acknowledging our urgent call to the early return call to Justin’s courteous greeting to Riley’s very informative explanation of our alternatives to Jordan’s energetic demeanor in his installation of our water heater. We appreciated Jordan’s attention to doing his best! He’s a great installer! We can see his eagerness in getting ahead😉 And lastly Austin’s reassuring us our choice of water heater and the anode rod could be installed at a later date to extend the life of the unit. Thank you, Cody for giving us your attention and reassurance. Very satisfied with your excellent customer service!”

“I Called my home warranty to fix my water pressure regulator. The original plumbing company quoted me a ridiculous amount to retro fit my unit. I called Thompson plumbing from seeing their name in a mailer magazine. Dustin arrived and gave me several options to fix my problem. He quoted me within a few minutes and was able to replace my pressure regulator very quickly. I appreciated Dustins communication through out the process which made it very easy since i was out of town. I highly recommend Thompson plumbing on your next plumbing fix.”

“Brandon was courteous and kind. He gave us several options for repair and replacement. He described in detail where the repair is needed while providing information on the levels of our water quality. Our water was also tested where we discovered additional concerns that were related to the current problem with our toilets and faucets. Overall, we had some items replaced that will improve our water concerns. Brandon indicated that the water will be monitored to insure we are receiving the optimum water quality. We highly recommend Thompson Family Plumbing! Thank you Brandon and the Thompson Family Plumbing for your professional and complete plumbing service for our home.”

“I called Thompson family Plumbing because I kept having water back up in my shower and sink. Everyone was punctual, professional, and explained exactly what needed to be done before starting the repair. The pricing was fair, and the work was done efficiently and neatly. I really appreciated their honesty and attention to detail. The repair on my lines were extensive because I have old cast iron but I would have to give a shout out to multiple people. Riley for always explaining what’s going on and what exactly needed to be done. He also was a trooper with working around my schedule and coming back multiple times. Brandon, Riley, and Jordan for doing the no dig lining in a timely matter and making sure everything was cleaned up after every job. I know I am forgetting someone but you guys a”

“I received contact very quickly to arrange for an inspection and estimate the next morning. Arrival was timely and the inspection was done by Levi who was professional and knowledgeable. I was provided options, which was appreciated, to choose based on my own preference. The work was done in a quality manner despite some complications due to a space issue replacing an old model water heater. It was a pleasure working with Levi and I would recommend him for any plumbing needs.”
