About

Frontdoor Pro, Inc. serves as a plumber in the Memphis, TX area, offering on-demand repairs for residential properties. Homeowners can book a date and a specific two-hour time slot through their system for when the technician will show up. The process includes an on-site estimate review before starting any plumbing work. Payment occurs only once the repair is complete, backed by their guarantee to fix situations if the customer is not reasonably satisfied with the pro sent to the home. This approach supports local homeowners dealing with routine and urgent plumbing needs in varying weather conditions that often stress pipes and fixtures around the city.

Frontdoor Pro handles jobs such as stopping water leaks from air conditioning units that can dump gallons of water daily into homes, repairing washing machines that continue to have the same issues after service, and cleaning dryer vents that were previously claimed done but required follow up work by others. In one case, a technician addressed a washing machine problem but the issue persisted upon use. Another situation involved a dryer vent cleaning charged at two hundred ninety nine dollars where the work had not actually been performed, leading to hiring additional help. They also deal with covered warranty claims that sometimes involve payouts when no local technicians are available right away.

Customers consistently note solid results on speed for arrival, quality of the fixes once underway, fair price quotes, and clear communication throughout the visit. These factors add up across many jobs in Memphis where quick responses prevent bigger water damage or appliance failures. DIRT Score 4.86 from 550 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have 2-10 Home Buyer’s Warranty, Frontdoor is the parent company and had a COVERED claim in December 2025. We were told we’d be paid for the claim (they had no technicians in our area) in 45 days. Here we are nearly SIX MONTHS LATER, well past 45 days and still no payment. We have called every week to get this resolved and no one is willing to help us. We are told, someone will reach out in three days. No one ever does. We’ve been paying our monthly premium and the time comes to pay us and they ghost us. What a horrific company.

Can I give negative 10,000 stars. It is impossible to get a phone number to a corporate office and a supervisor. I have been dealing with an AC that has been leaking water in my home for almost two full months! Not a little water but gallons of water per day!!! My ceiling in my hallway has already collapsed with my lights hanging down and water running over electrical wires and they still don’t care! I have told multiple people and these supposed supervisors that water was intruding into my hall bathroom through the ducting and it was pouring through there and they again say I sympathize and we are working on it and give us time… I have dogs trying to drink out of the water that I am continually cleaning up and drying and putting down towels as more and more ceiling continues to fall along with insulations and items from the attic space. Last night was the worst after spending hours on the phone speaking with with someone I heard a loud bang and part of my bathroom ceiling collapsed from water damage and the water just running though from the A/C.. as i am in there cleaning this up the rest of the hanging ceiling come loose and collapses all over!!!! I call crying begging for help and they tell me they are working on it and someone will call tomorrow now today (still no call).. they won’t send anyone to clean this mess up (mind you this is insulation with electrical wires hanging and lights dangling while the water is rushing through)… oh and to add insult to injury are saying they wont cover all the damage that has been caused. The damage is all from them refusing to replace the AC and trying to bandaid the problem! Now that there contractor is saying it needs to be replaced ASAP they want a second opinion while my house is falling apart and we are living in a dangerous hazard!!! Here is my information: Dispatch: #342546978 I included timeline photos so you could see the progression of damage!

A service technician represented by Frontdoor came to my house to fix my washing machine yesterday. The service technician claimed that he fixed the problem, but when I went to use my washing machine, the same problem that I experienced the day before is still happening. I paid a lot of money to have this person come to my house and fix this washing machine. It is not acceptable that the washing machine is still broken and currently leaking water in my house. I may update this review if he is able to come back and actually fix my washing machine. Until then, I am leaving a 1-star review because it is unacceptable for someone to come in and not fix the problem with the broken appliance in the household.

American Home Shield (AHS) assigned Frontdoor Pro to clean my dryer vent and charged me $299 for work that was never completed. The technician claimed the job was done, but after continued issues, I hired another local company who confirmed the vent had never been cleaned at all—and they completed the full service correctly for only $75. Because of the incorrect diagnosis, I ended up replacing a perfectly good dryer, costing me over $1,300 unnecessarily. This entire experience with AHS and their contractor was misleading, and it left me feeling ripped off. I cannot recommend American Home Shield or Frontdoor Pro based on this situation.

Front Door/American Home Shield takes your money every month for the warranty but when it comes time for them to fix the problem they say that what you need is not covered. They are a rip off and I would never recommend them to anyone. I have been paying on a contract for over 20 years and when it came time for them to replace my HVAC system they told me that over $5000 was not covered for bogus parts. I had a second opinion come in and was told that the estimate from AHS was incorrect and more than half of what they said was needed was not . AHS sent out a repair person that was inept and didn't seem to know what he was doing . . He never even checked my electrical panel to see if it could handle a new system. I have been taken for a huge amount of money for over 20 years and will report this to the better business bureau .
