Phelps Solar Specialist LLC

Phelps Solar Specialist LLC works as plumbers out of Mesa, TX. They concentrate on plumber services that tie into solar pool heating setups for local homes. The company draws from experience with solar water systems and pool equipment, handling the pipe work and connections that keep water moving between pools and roof mounted collectors. In Mesa, TX the dry climate and long summers push many properties to add these systems, and the crew steps in to manage the plumbing side that makes heating possible without constant gas or electric use. Homeowners face hard water and temperature swings that wear on lines, so these plumbers address those daily realities on site.

They install and service solar pool heaters along with supporting gear such as Intelliflo VSF variable speed pumps and Omni automation controls for pools and spas. Jobs often start with mounting hardware on roofs, running new lines to tie collectors into existing circulation, and checking flow rates so water reaches the right temperature. Crews also handle safety checks on the full loop, swap out old pumps, and set up controls that let owners adjust heat from a panel or app. In practice this means cutting into current plumbing, pressure testing joints, and making sure the added solar section does not create leaks or air pockets that stop the system cold. The work keeps pools usable longer into the shoulder seasons without big utility bills.

Customers keep coming back because the jobs finish on time, the fixes hold up through the heat, and the prices stay in line with what the scope actually requires. Reviews highlight clear updates during the day and straightforward answers on what needs replacing versus what can be repaired. Speed stands out when a pump fails mid summer, while quality shows in the clean routing of lines that avoid future clogs. Price feedback stays positive when the crew explains options up front rather than adding surprise charges. DIRT Score 4.65 from 264 reviews on Finds.

“The work done was exceptional and finished very cleanly. Only disappointment was that we got an email that the work was scheduled for 2 days so we made arrangements to be around for 2 days, but the crew that arrived said that it was only scheduled for 1 day on their schedule. It took a few extra visits to get all the work completed. So the communication was a little poor around the scheduling and whether we needed to be present of not. But otherwise it was great work.”

“One morning in mid-March, my home water flow alarm went off, indicating a small leak lasting a long duration. I called our plumber who verified there was a leak and checked everything. It turned out to be a stuck valve in the landscape watering system which was easily fixed by my landscaper. However, in the process of checking all possible piping leaks the plumber went on the roof and noticed small leaks in the piping joints of our solar pool water heater. It was over 6 years old, and I never had it serviced as it worked fine. I called Phelps solar to explain the situation and a few days later two technicians came out to inspect my system and they verified there were small leaks and made other suggestions which we discussed. It was clear that there were four options for me to decide on”
