Donald was extremely helpful over the phone, answered all of my questions, and made scheduling quick and easy. Ethan installed my new water heater, and he did an outstanding job. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and worked efficiently. He explained everything clearly and made sure the installation was done right. He also left the work area clean when he was finished. Great customer service, quality workmanship, and a company that truly cares about its customers. “Modern Plumbing installed the heater in 12/23, before I owned the house, so I called them to help with a water temp issue. Ryan came out and was very polite and informative - good guy, which is why this is a 3-star review. After he left (no charge - also very cool), I called to order the part from the manufacturer, AO Smith, only to discover that another person at Modern Plumbing had already called in the part under warranty *20 minutes before the inspection/diagnosis had even started*. Four problems: (1) Modern Plumbing hadn't even seen the unit yet, (2) Modern Plumbing assumed that I was going to use their business for the repair/replacement work before they'd even entered the house, (3) the owner of the unit (me) didn't authorize the warranty replacement when Modern Plumbing took the liberty to call it in, and (4) I at first couldn't order the part when I called AO Smith because Modern Plumbing had already reserved it, though I can and have ordered it now. The guys at Modern Plumbing seem all right, and I don't think they were being deliberately underhanded, but I can't get past 1, 2, 3, and 4. It's my house, my heater, my choices, and there are plenty of plumbers to choose from.”

“First off, they provided great Customer Service from the phone interaction to the onsite repair technician. Upfront what services they could provide and about my expectations should be. Second, my customer experience was top notch. They scheduled a technician within a couple of days of calling for service, arrived promptly as scheduled and didn't linger on the repair itself. They troubleshoot my failed diy repair. They did returned to verify what I thought was an issue. It turned out that I used the water before it had completed its warm up, so it was my bad. They didn't even charge me. Would recommend 100 out of 100 times.”
