About

Amundson Plumbing works out of Plano, Texas, where they handle all kinds of residential plumbing jobs for local homeowners. The crew shows up for everything from simple appliance hookups to bigger pipe problems that pop up in houses across the area. They deal with the usual Texas issues like old lines wearing out and sudden leaks that hit without much warning. Homeowners in Plano call them when water systems need attention right away, and the team focuses on getting those fixes done without dragging things out longer than needed.

Brian and Abe have come out to repair dishwashers that stopped draining right, walking through each step so the owner knew what was going on. Another call brought them to a leaking water heater where the crew arrived ready and finished the job with solid results that held up. Bill has handled early repairs in new homes and then sent teams during the big 2021 freeze when six pipes burst at once, getting everything sealed back up. They also tackled a main water line leak near the meter by replacing the section with proper pipe, though the work took a few hours in the yard to complete.

Customers keep coming back because the crews show up when promised and finish the work without extra headaches. Reviews highlight how fast they respond to calls about water heaters or burst lines, along with clear explanations during the job and fair pricing that matches the effort. The team earns steady marks for staying on schedule and leaving homes in good shape after fixes, even when weather creates multiple problems at once. DIRT Score 4.13 from 45 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I wanted to thank Brian and Abe for coming out to my house to fix my dishwasher. And I want to also thank Babita my friend and neighbor for referring me. They were timely, polite and explained everything to me as they were repairing it. Babita let me know when they were arriving and pricing was very affordable and fair. Great company that I will be referring to my friends/family and neighbors! Job well done! 👏

I called for a leaking water heater. And the company was very responsive period when they showed up. The team was professional on time and did good quality work. I will use them again and highly recommend them for the good value and quality of wok!

Where do I start with this company. When we first moved into our home Feb 2018 Bill came to the house to do some repairs and also gave me many helpful hints. Then came the major freeze of 2021. We had 6 pipes burst. Bill sent his team and they helped us so much by fixing all the pipes. Then came yesterday our pipes busted again and I called their number in such a panic. The lady remained calm and his team came but this time only 2 pipes broke. They are so nice, so helpful, so patient, overall just good people. Use this company you won’t regret it.

I called Amundson Plumbing last year to repair a main water line to our home. The leak was less than a foot away from the water meter. The Amundson crew was in my yard for just over 4 hours and made the repairs with white PVC pipe and blue glue. I had asked about the repairs and why there were so many connecting pieces rather than just the couple that connected to the main lines and the "T" line to my sprinkler system. They told me it was "OK". I have uploaded the Amundson picture for your review. Again, it's the one with white PVC pipe with the blue glue all around the different joints. Just last week, exactly one year to the day that Amundson was at my home, we realized we had another leak and it was in the same location as the leak from last year. I called the owner of Amundson Plumbing, Bill Amundson, and he told me he only guarantees his work for 30 days. I told him it was PVC and that PVC should last for many years, but Bill simply said NO and that 30 days is all his work is guaranteed for. I never said I wanted this fixed at no cost, in fact I never said anything about cost, but I did say to Bill that I called him first to see if he would make things right. He couldn’t have cared less and told me to call someone else. I went ahead and called another local plumbing company and was able to get the repairs done that same day. You will find the new plumbing company’s repairs in the second picture. By the way, what failed on the Amundson Plumbing original repair? One of the PVC elbow fittings was not properly glued together. So, for a whole year the water was leaking and finally the elbow came apart enough to cause enough water to be seen from the top of the ground. The bottom line is that if you only want 30 days guarantee, call Amundson Plumbing. If you want plumbing done right, and the work will last longer than 30 days, you might want to call someone besides Amundson Plumbing. Look at the pictures and YOU decide……..

Beware dealing with this company. The owner, Bill Amundson told me in late June 2023, that my disposal would need to be removed permanently, and the PVC pipes under the kitchen sink, would need to be reworked due to the angle of the pipe coming into my 1951 home. I called them to have the work done November 22nd.For some reason, they sent two commercial plumbers, and I told them what Bill said needed to be done. The owner's wife, Jamie claims they weren't commercial plumbers, but they told me they were, otherwise, how would I have known they were, For some reason, they chose not to do the work that I told them, that the owner, Bill, had said needed to be done. They used a hand held auger on my sink, and charged me $258.71. I paid them $260.00 cash. Two weeks later I called back since it was blocked up again. Two other plumbers from Amundson came out, Jeff and Alan, They saw what the problem was, as Bill had stated back in late June, and they proceeded to remove the disposal, and reworked the PVC pipes under the kitchen sink. They did a great job. They charged $527.22. I mentioned that I should be credited for the $260.00 I had just paid two weeks prior, since that set of plumbers chose not to do the work that was requested, and they said I would have to call Jamie, the owner's wife, which I did while they were still there. Jamie informed me that they do not credit or refund money on any past appointments. I chose to pay the $527.22 with American Express, hoping they could help resolve the issue of the $260.00 that I had paid two weeks prior for work that was not done. Amundson Plumbing has not responded to the American Express inquiry, so I tried calling to speak with Bill, the owner to resolve the issue. Well, his wife called me instead, and said that Bill would never tell someone to remove a disposal, basically, calling me a liar. Her husband Bill, stood in my kitchen and told me that's what needed to be done if the sink backed up again. I don't have a problem with the $527.22 for the work that Jeff and Alan did. They did a great job, but I do feel as though I should be credited for the $260.00 from the second appointment, when the two plumbers didn't do the work that was requested, and recommended by Bill, the owner. Jamie has stated twice that Bill would never recommend a disposal be removed. Well, I wonder why Jeff and Alan did it if it wasn't necessary? Of course it was, because they, as well as her husband Bill know it needed to be done. She refutes it to this day. I asked for Bill to call me to resolve the issue, and his wife, Jamie called, and was very abrasive, and stated that I was trying to get work done for free . That's hardly the case, since I gladly paid $230.00 for the first appointment with Bill, $260.00 for the second, with the required work NOT done, and gladly $527.22 for a great job, by Jeff and Alan. It's too bad that she will cost him a lot of lost business from her ill will, and not let Bill speak with his customers to resolve issues. I happen to know he is well regarded, IF you can actually get to him.
