About
Rudd Plumbing Co operates out of Tyler, Texas as a full service plumbing outfit covering the city and nearby spots like Longview. They handle everything from routine fixes to bigger jobs that keep homes and businesses running in East Texas conditions. Emergency calls stay available even around major holidays, which fits the needs of folks dealing with sudden pipe bursts or water issues in the area. The crew focuses on practical repairs and installations without extra layers of scheduling hassle. Homeowners in Tyler often call them for drain work, sewer lines, and gas line problems that show up in older houses around Highway 31 and similar routes.
Cory and Tim handled a hidden gas line leak on one job after city crews rerouted lines from the street, locating the issue and sealing it before any smell entered the house. Jacob tackled two toilet repairs plus new drain lines in a tight crawl space, snapping photos to show the damage, walking through options with clear estimates, and finishing the fix without tearing up floors. The same team covers hydro jetting for clogged drains, slab leak detection, tankless water heater swaps, and trenchless sewer lining when digging up yards is not an option. They also manage frozen pipe thaws and commercial remodel plumbing when new construction hits Tyler neighborhoods.
Customers give top marks for the actual quality of the repairs and how fast the crew shows up to stop leaks or restore service. Response speed and workmanship stand out in most feedback, with technicians like Jacob explaining findings on site so owners know exactly what got fixed. Communication lands lower on the scale, as some drivers drew complaints for phone use or tailgating on local roads. Still the solid track record on getting jobs done right and on time builds the overall rating. DIRT Score 4.41 from 64 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Apparently, Rudd Plumbing doesn’t like it when we don't go over the speed limit and drive reckless. Perfect example is the guy in the picture, moments before he decided to flip me off. I was leaving Tyler off of Highway 31 E, when I suddenly noticed a van riding my tail. If you’re familiar with 31, it starts from 2 lanes and then merges into 1 lane every mile, alternating until you hit the Kilgore area. This driver when he got the chance, cut me off several times and brake checked me. Even at one point he decided to merge into my lane, almost causing for both vehicles to collide side by side. Once we reached at a stopping light, he pulls over, rolls his window down, yells and curses, saying that he doesn’t care if he gets reported to the company. He then finishes off with a nice middle finger and proceeds to drive off. ( Kind of inconsiderate since he’s driving a company van). This kind of reckless driving is unacceptable. Not only frustrating and inconsiderate, but it also puts everyone at risk. I expect better from this company. I urge for Rudd Plumbing to review their employees driving habits and maybe…anger issues.”
“Someone should teach your employes how unsafe it is to look at your phone while you're driving a vehicle. I passed him twice on the same road both times he never looked up from his phone. Hope you will consider giving your employees some training in driving safety before he ends up hurting/killing someone and causing your company to lose a lot of money due to a lawsuit. Considering how many wrecks there are in Tyler and how expensive our insurance has got because of those wrecks might be a good thing to teach your employees.”
“Cory and Tim provided excellent plumbing services to repair our gas line leak. We had no idea we had an issue at all with our line (never had a gas smell inside the home) until standard maintenance repairs were done by contractors for the city and/or gas company, to re-run lines from the street to our meter. The gas company was unable to reconnect our service at that time (due to safety) because of the leaks identified in our homeowner-responsible portion of the line. Rudd plumbing was able to provide same day service. Cory and Tim were very sensitive to the timely nature of the problem (winter with a gas furnace), financial considerations due to the unexpected and immediate need for repair, and were kind in going through the repair options for us. We had several areas of concern in our gas line, all of which were attended to and repaired. Cory and Tim contacted the gas company to re-inspect and reconnect our service once repairs were made. It was initially a very big and unexpected issue, and Rudd was great in helping us navigate it and repair things safely.”
“Jacob worked for us repairing 2 toilets and replacing some drain lines in a narrow crawl space under our home. He took photos and showed us what the problems were, explained repair options, and provided estimates. Jake did a superb job - he is very knowledgeable and has a great personality and sense of humor . We've used Rudd Plumbing many times over the years and highly recommend them . Jake is an asset to the company.”
“Rudd Plumbing has done a lot of work in our home. We have always encountered kind, caring professionals who made us feel comfortable and went to great lengths to take care of our home, even as far as using towels around their tools to make sure my faucets and counter surfaces did not get scratched. That’s the kind of detail that goes a long way for me. Each employee I’ve met has been so kind and gone above and beyond to make sure things were done with excellence. I feel confident in recommending Rudd Plumbing to anyone.”
