Pool Renovations By Alan

Pool Renovations By Alan operates as a pool service company in Boerne, Texas, with Alan running the work. The business handles pool replastering, full renovations, tile and coping replacement, and equipment services and repair across the San Antonio area and nearby spots.

Customers have brought in the company to address cracks and leaks that built up over years, with Israel directing the construction crew to restore function. Others needed resurfacing and new tile, handled by David on the tiling side and Tony on electrical tasks, along with Sharon managing pump startup and chemical balance after refills. Additional jobs included coping and tile upgrades by an Israel-led husband and wife pair, removal of diving boards, addition of in-pool benches and bar tops, filter media swaps, timer installs, and deck resurfacing with Cool Coat applied by Jesus.

Alan responds promptly to quote requests and keeps customers updated on progress and start dates. He provides straightforward timelines, sticks to quoted prices without suggesting unneeded extras, and schedules work quickly once confirmed. The crews maintain clean sites, respect neighboring properties, and complete jobs within promised windows while answering questions on site.

Reviewers give the company a 4.6 rating on Google from 41 reviews, frequently citing solid resurfacing and remodeling results plus reliable communication, though two reviews describe issues with crooked tile, drains covered during plastering, or projects left incomplete after deposits.

“Alan's crew did a super job on my pool which had significant problems with cracks and leaks accrued over many years. The head construction leader, Israel, took care of it all and brought my pool back to sterling shape. Tony and Sharon came by after the pool was refilled and got the pump moving and the proper chemicals added. On a big job like this I needed someone who I could depend on and trust to do the work and Pool Renovations by Alan came through for me. Thank you!”

“Beautiful! I called around and checked reviews and then I chose three companies to interview for our pool resurfacing and tile change. After the interviews and chose Pool Renovations by Alan based on his knowledge and experience but mostly because he was extremely honest. He was clear on when he would be able to start the job, what products he recommends based on his years of experience and his knowledge of the new products used for longevity. We are extremely happy with his work. Alan and his crew were respectful of our property and made sure not to disrupt our neighbors and leave any debris from the removal of the old surface and tile. His crew worked extremely hard, and I could tell that they had a lot of experience also. We also had work done on our pool pump and heater and his repair specialists Tony and Sharon took care of that and we are now ready for our next pool party. His pricing was right on point with the other companies I interviewed, and his timeline was faster than the others that said it would be months before they could complete the job. I would highly recommend Pool Renovations by Alan. The first picture with the floaties is the old color and tile. You can see ho”

“Alan did a great job from start to finish. Redoing our pool after many years made it look brand new and updated.”

“Great experience. Alan kept me updated with everything and the pool looks great. 16 year old pool looks new again.”

“Great job by all, a special call out for David on tiling and Tony on the electrical. We had the coping in our pool replaced, filter media replaced and timer installed. Happened earlier than promised and an excellent job. Highly recommend!”

“We had Alan and his team resurface our pool and take out the diving board. They did great work for us. He was timely in his response to give us a quote and communicated very well. He got us on the calendar quickly and got the work done in a timely manner. His team was pleasant and answered any questions I may have had during the work. We love how it turned out! We would recommend and Alan and his team to anyone looking to get their pool resurfaced. Thank you!”

“We used this company to resurface the inside of our pool, replace the coping and tile work, and to redo our patio decking. They did excellent work. The husband (Israel) and wife team that did the coping and tile work were meticulous. The in the pool plaster work was such a needed upgrade, with beautiful results. And the old pebble pool deck was covered with Cool Coat by Jesus and we love the results. Consider this company when remodeling your pool! (they specialize in remodeling pools, so you should search elsewhere if needing electrical work).”

“The team at PRbA was a dream to work with. Alan really knows his stuff and Robyn's customer service was top-notch. We weren't sure what exactly we wanted to do with our pool. Just knee it was time for a remodel. We wanted some differentiation between the shallow and deep end so we could hand out anywhere in the pool. They suggested adding a bar top table and in-pool bench; like a shelf we can sit at and have drinks. They gave us a nice replaster and some beautiful tile upgrades! The whole process was easy. We connected with them through a Facebook ad. They called us to talk about what we wanted, came out to check out the pool, and got to work (after some technical stuff). They even worked around the landscaping really well so our garden stayed safe the entire time! I can't recommend them enough! If you need ANY type of pool remodel work done, go through Pool Renovations by Alan! You WILL NOT be disappointed! 😍 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REBUILDING OUR DREAM POOL 💖💖💖”

“Alan was super easy to work with and his team so courteous and communicative. I am super happy with the way everything came out and would highly recommend this company to anyone:”

“Did not follow plan. Tile crooked and not installed properly. Plastered over main drain. Had to hammer it out. Patch looked awful. Had to hire another company to fix it. If you are gonna use this renovation company… then you might as well go find your own tile guy and pool plaster crew on the street corner. You will be better off and save money. If you want it done right …Call a company that has a real office and history.”

“Love my pool spot on service!! Aruba sky”

“Alan is both pleasant and professional. He does what he says he will do and for the price he quotes. I would recommend him for any pool replaster”

“So glad to have found Alan! After getting a couple of quotes for resurfacing that were out of reach Alan not only gave us a reasonable quote he stopped me from adding unnecessary expense. And now our pool looks beautiful again!”

“I have high praise for Alan’s company. They were timely and efficient and my pool looks amazing! Alan and staff will go the extra mile for their clients.”

“Alan Smith did an amazing job on our pool. He was prompt, friendly, professional and most of all honest. He explained the process from start to finish before the work had began, and throughout the process. I would highly recommend Alan to others with the knowledge that it will be done right. Thank you again Alan! Looks amazing!”

“If I understood how to leave zero stars that is what I would rate this business. We had our pool 'renovated' by Alan. When he realized the project manager he hired for our project wasn't qualified he at first tried to fix it. I will give him that. But I guess it got too expensive so he just decided not to return our calls. We had to pay someone to come finish the work. Because he asks for fairly large deposits, we were clearly at a loss. Since then, within a year our 'new' filter went out which we were told could not possibly be new. Today it is our pump. In theory it should be under warranty but the sticker with serial number is missing from the pump. He told us he had registered the equipment, but after my call with Pentair, he never did. Without the serial number there is no warranty. He may speak of strong Christian values, sadly that is not what we experienced. Be careful when using this business.”

“Unbelievable transformation of our 25 year old pool. Alan walked us through choosing new plaster, tile and coping along with adding a sun deck and a waterfall with LED lighting synced with the pool lights. All work was completed in a couple of weeks, even with challenging weather. Alan was very transparent on the quote, professional and conscientious. He saw that every detail was completed right down to personally handling some final punch list items. The job exceeded all expectations!”

“Alan did such amazing job on my pool!! He was on time, friendly, honest, and the work turned out great! I would highly recommend him with all your pool needs!”

“Great Service! The guys did a beautiful job! We are vey pleased....”

“Had Alan and his team come to the house and retile my pool bottom and deep clean the filtration systems. I couldn't be more impressed with their work and work ethic. They showed on time and always kept me informed of the work in progress. I will definitely use them again as the need arises.”
