About

Leslie's Pool Supplies runs a store in Denton, Texas that focuses on pool supplies along with service and repair work. The location provides water testing and sells maintenance tools along with equipment parts. Jordan manages the spot with assistance from Alan while David has served as general manager at times. The business stocks items for pool upkeep and handles certain repairs on site for gear bought there.

Customers bring pumps, rakes, plumbing valves, and filter baskets for service or purchase. Staff such as Jaxon walk through chemical balancing steps after testing and load items into vehicles. Chris helps with product details and technical questions on a regular basis. Some drop off pool cleaners for fixes at the repair shop while others pick up chlorine tablets or replacement parts when local options run short. Outcomes range from balanced pool water to completed equipment repairs that get systems running again.

Appointments for service sometimes stretch into long waits with delayed callbacks and no firm arrival times. Prices for chemicals and parts draw frequent notes as high compared to other sources. Staff responses vary with some showing knowledge and courtesy during visits while others appear rushed or unclear on basic items like filter components. The Denton store draws local buyers who sometimes drive to nearby towns when stock or help falls short at this spot.

The location carries a 3.9 rating from 62 Google reviews. Common points cover helpful staff on some days mixed with reports of rude exchanges, slow service, and high costs that push people toward online buys or other stores.

What Customers Say

“This is a great Leslie’s! Jordan is an outstanding manager, and is wee assisted by Alan. They strive to perform correct testing procedures and go over the analysis with you, answering any questions you might have. Great job, two thumbs up!”

Rick Hissem

“They can be expensive but they have good product. They can also perform repair services for certain equipment that you buy from them.”

Dillirium

“Leslie's has most of your needs from pumps to pool rakes. Great service from the staff. Also included is a onsite repair shop. Prices are reasonable.”

Damon Paton

“I just returned some items that I bought with cash a few days ago. I was told by the “general manager” David that I would have to wait to receive a corporate check in 10 days. Their refund policy says if the purchase was over $100, it would require a corporate check. My purchase was under $100. DAVID was very unprofessional and RUDE to me. He had a dirty look and tone with me as soon as I walked into the store with a bag. I will NEVER return to this store because of HIM. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone.”

Carol Whelan

“I always get the worse service from this store, I end up walking out without buying a product. But this is the only pool store in town that sell pool parts. I went in Saturday around 11am for an on/off plumping valve to put on our pool filter. When I walked in there were customers at the counter so I waited around the store to ask my question. There was on employee that came to me and asked if I needed help, I told him what I needed and he said to wait for the people at the register. After seeing there was one last customer at the register, I walked up to the side of the two guys at the register to wait. When the customer left, instead of helping me, the guys decided to hold a conversation that went on for a long time while I was standing there probably 6 ft away. They definitely noticed me. One finally asked me if he could help, while I was explaining I was pulling a picture of my filter up. Before he saw the picture he said, "we do not have that type of valve for your above ground pool filter". Then he saw the picture of my filter and he said "oh you don't have a small filter, I just assume you had a small filter". Why did he assume that? I never told him what type of pool”

“I don't go here very often... usually if Gohlke doesn't have something I need and I can't wait to order it online. Employees have always been helpful and courteous. Prices are too high and it just has that "corporate" feel. Gohlke seems to have a better inventory of repair parts, at least based on my experience.”

Mike Murray

“Prices were a little high but the customer service was superb and they educated me on everything I needed to know to get our pool chemicals balanced properly. Jaxon was very knowledgeable, I feel much more comfortable taking care our pool now. They even loaded everything in my car. Will definitely be going back.”

Michelle Hultberg

“Chris is one of the product, customer and tech-savvy persons that work in this location. I steer right to Chris when I can. Always has a great, super helpful way about him and I appreciate his efforts. Consistently good.”

Tex Plex

“I called them up today, and told them the filter was broken, and described the piece that you lift out and empty. Thought that was a pretty good description, but the clerk didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. We got to the point of referring to it as the "basket" but still, they seemed to be confused, and uncertain of the piece or if they could do anything. How are people working at a pool supply store and not understand what part you're talking about when you mention filter you pull up and dump out, or the basket? The staff seems 100% unknowlegdable about what they're even selling. I was also hung up on before we were done.”

Kristofer Speer

“This location is trash. I dropped off a $1,500 pool cleaner that's barely a year old. After close to 6 weeks later i get a call from 'new management' with an estimate of $500 to fix it because the gears have been ground down by sand. If the pool cleaner had done it's job there wouldn't be enough sand to cause damage to a 'state of the art' pool cleaner. I have a very nice pool surrounded by grass and a weekly pool guy that cleans the pool. This Leslie's is a dumpster fire. Avoid it at all costs. They're just looking for ways to stick it to”

“Had an unfortunate encounter with an individual that I was shocked to discover was a manager. Petty, condescending & dismissive are the nicest terms I can think of offhand to describe this individual. I'm no psychologist, but he seemed to be a former high school jock who hasn't realized his glory days are behind him and he can't skate by being rude to whomever he pleases in life because he can run slightly faster or whatever it is he did. If this is the type of people that Leslie's is now hiring they will never have my business again. Unfortunate that I'll need to head down to flower mound for any future pool related purchases I'll need, but I would highly recommend making the drive rather than dealing with the high schooler staff in Leslie's "professional" business setting.”

“Employee was very rude and not helpful at Denton location. You can definitely tell customer service is not of importance at Denton Leslie's. Will drive the distance to Roanoke they have been extremely helpful in finding parts needed for our pool.”

AD

“Had a good selection but was either a man-down or just no urgency so after 30 minutes we left empty handed.”

Jake “AH0meLEssguy” Harris

“Customer service is lacking and prices are ridiculous. I kept thinking it will get better next time, it didn't. Amazon is more helpful and cheaper.”

Jackie Ketchev

“The leslies i use which are dozens are awesome the people for the most part are just great and do care. I use them all the time. Highly recommend them.”

Randy Mooneyham

“Use to be one of my go to store, but I guess the shortage of pool chemicals they have resort to over charging pool chemicals. 20 lbs 3 inch chlorine tablets used to be $69.99 now it's $99.99 in a matter of a month.”

christopher harper

“store is a lot bigger than most i’ve seen, very clean & items are where you’d think to look for them. employees are polite, knowledgeable & attentive.”

Ravyn Adams

“Called and setup a appointment. They said they would call back never did had to call and find out what time they where coming out. And just like the cable company. I have to be here for five hours when they might show up.”

wade prather

“It seems as if nobody at this location has any idea what they're doing, not even "management" if that's what you want to call them. We will take our business elsewhere.”

C R

“Staff is always sooo helpful! Even if doesnt make them money they will always suggest whats best for my pool. Makes me want to always buy from them.”
